WHY would LE have given KH any cell phone pics or texts? Is keeping KH informed of his estranged wife's doings part of their job? If so, LE in that area has missed their calling, they should all become private eyes or district attornies. Maybe we need a definition of law enforcement's job? I know I could use one.

That's a really good point. When the subject is so emotionally labile, a missing child, an affair, murder for hire... I don't know how LE trusted Kaine enough to NOT go crazy and harm TH. They're taking an awfully big chance by assuming Kaine is going to keep taking in all of these new, terrible facts about his wife and child and life and NOT become violent.

To be perfectly honest, if I thought someone harmed (or worse) my child... I'm not sure I wouldn't want to physically attack them. And I'm a tiny woman who has never hit someone in her life. Hmmm.

Divorce laywers are eating up all this texting, facebooking and twittering and spywaare is making it possible for spouses all over this country to prove what their other half has been up to.

He is a programmer it is not out of the realm of possibility and I am unsure the legalities of spying on your estranged wife in an unsolved missing child case would be.

Has LE confirmed they supplied the intel?

The process of downloading the software took several attempts and a great deal of patience. But once the spy program was installed, Hebert's phone could indeed be tapped into at any time - just as its distributor promised.

The court documents say Law Enforcement provided the information. If the info was obtained by a PI, the court documents would have to reflect that.

Just a feeling I have I am thinking that LE would not risk telling K anything that would put anyone in harms way.

As long as they believe it to to fact is all that matters in the end.
The problem is Terri is sexting but no info on Kyron's whereabouts.
I doubt she'd spill that over email/or cell/text if ever. But, if she had an accomplice there mus be contact somehow between them.

It makes no sense that he would submit statements in official court documents specifically citing police (original RO paperwork) and "law enforcement" unless they were indeed law enforcement/police. If the information came from a private investigator, the court documents should say "information provided by Mr. So and So, private investigator licensed in the state of Oregon..."

I wouldn't blame him for hiring extra help to search for Kyron, or for answers on Terri, but it's really unlikely Kaine is misrepresenting to the court who provided him with the information.

I would be shocked if Kaine didn't hire a PI, I would in his shoes. The more help the better and time is of the essence in recovering a kidnapped child esp. my child.
But, you are right no proof or mention in the media or by Kaine that he hired one.

This is a great question. The technology for cells is amazing. I wouldn't be surprised if you could even go a step and do much more with a ping from a cell.

And THAT, in itself is wrong in my opinion. LE is there to find the child and figure out this case, not feed information to one side or the other. Part of professionalism is parking your own prejudices at the door when you put on that uniform, but I don't see that happening in this case.

Terri could very well be guilty, BUT, they have NO business feeding the information they may have gathered to one side or the other.

In my humble opinion, this stinks.

It seems to me they don't have enough to arrest her so they're going to try her in the court of public opinion. That stinks also.

I think LE would probably get a lot of flack from the general public if Terri had done something to baby K or Kaine somewhere down the road and it turned out that LE knew she might be dangerous all along but didn't inform Kaine about it because it's not their job to feed information from one side to the other.

I'm okay with LE giving information to people they think might be threatened somehow, so that they can protect themselves.
