I don't think anyone in the immediate family including ICA, CA, GA, and LA will tell the truth. To do so would bring down their world. I believe that ICA thinks she will be acquitted. After watching the CBS 48 Hours video 3 times I don't think that CA will ever accept internally that Casey killed Caylee even if she's found guilty.

The only family members who will be honest IMO will be Cindy's mom SP and Cindy's brother RP if they are witnesses in Casey's murder trial -- if there are more relatives of CA's on the witness list -- I'm not sure.

Will the public ever know what happened to Caylee? Maybe not but I think the prosecution will get close enough to the truth that a jury will not have any reasonable doubt and therefore find Casey guilty of 1st degree murder.

Honestly, she is the only one, besides brother/uncle Rick in that clan who ever shed a moment of light into the bottomless pit of darkness that is all of their lies...

I vote Shirley!!! lol

I voted for LA. Here's what I hope will happen. If LA has truly distanced himself from the family he may have come to a realization. My guess is LA feels betrayed by everyone around him except Mallory. I don't think LA knows the exact truth but I think he has come to the conclusion that KC is responsible. I don't think he will say she did it because he has no proof but I don't see him defending her in a court of law either. I believe he has immunity for a reason. I believe he has facts about what his parents have done to try and cover it up. LA strikes me as a smart young man who may be looking out for himself at this point. I also hope that if LA mans up, he will set the example for his father. Maybe GA will not point fingers at KC but will not defend her either. If this happens, maybe LA and GA can salvage their relationship. I don't see CA ever considering the fact that KC is responsible. JMO - First time poster.

Does anyone know if LA has been spending time with CA and GA?? Is he still with Mallory??

Wow, great thread and one that has kept me up WAY past my bedtime!

I voted GA.

Then I read everyone's extremely well thought-out posts.

Shirley and Rick P may "crack" but it won't be "cracking" IMO because both have harbored no illusions through this whole saga.

Lee is my second choice and I agree & hope the posters are correct that his total absence from the case signals perhaps a surge of conscience on his part. I also believe that his efforts at "sleuthing" with KC were at least in part motivated by his sincere desire to figure out where his sister had left his niece. Hindsight being 20/20 of course some of what she told him was directing him straight to the spot where Caylee laid and perhaps he was a conduit for that info to get to CA-->DC/JH. Lee has been AWOL for months. Did he see the bus coming? Did Mallory talk sense into his head? Did he have any inkling before KC's letters that she was going to call him out on the sexual abuse issue? Or did he just accept the truth? If any of the above is true then he has good reason to "crack" and tell what he knows.

But George. Oh George. That grand jury testimony. Your statements in the first days about the smell and where your head went immediately. Your wife emotionally abandoning/emasculating you. Your son nowhere to be seen. Your daughter with a smell in her car that you instinctively recognized.

Between his love for his granddaughter, his desire to be respected especially by LE, his fraught relationship with CA, and his suspicions or perhaps confirmed knowledge of his daughter's role in all this, on top of his essentially fragile disposition & ego needs, oh and then there's the abuse allegations, I think he's the one.

I do think whether it's Lee at Mallory's urging, or GA at his conscience's urging, once one of the two goes, the other will follow. And CA and KC will be left defending the dream.

MOO, and thanks all for your great posts!

Is Mallory and her mom still on the board for the Anthony's "charity"? If so then I highly doubt that Mallory will convince Lee to tell the truth. The only way that Lee will speak up (IMO) is if he breaks away from the family completely.

I leaned toward George a bit, but I was shocked that after being accused by his own daughter of molesting her, he STILL SHOWED UP IN COURT TO SUPPORT HER! After that and simply too many other abnormal actions by the A's I don't expect any truth to come from them. It is curious how Lee has stayed away but he never liked the media spotlight to begin with. So he could very well be simply avoiding media yet may still lie about everything. I really don't know what to make of him at this point. I wonder how any of them will go back on the TRUTHFUL statements from first interviews w/ LE. I mean do you think LA & GA will lie on the stand knowing what they told police in their initial statements/interviews???

Hello WS :)

I just read the statement to LE by Lori Cree, one of the people who helped search for Caylee.

She was not present at the Anthony house the night TM and George tried to get Casey to point to where Caylee was, but she heard about it from TM and others that were there. Lori Cree was privy to the fact that George Anthony was kicked out of the house by Cindy that day and was staying with the rest of the "team" at the Holiday Inn where they had their "command" station.

According to Lori Cree, George was on their side and wanting to have Casey just confess, and Ms. Cree believed she had seen the end of the issue, as George was going to come clean and was shocked when he got on TV the next day(or so) and professed that he believed everything Casey was saying.

I don't think either George or Cindy will tell the truth. I think they are incapable and maybe, maybe Lee is the only decent one in the family and he will tell the truth.

Do we have a thread on Casey and the map? I know we were talking about it but I cannot find the thread. TIA.

IMHO, there is no trusting George Anthony: i.e.

August 12, 2008
George Anthony told Channel 9 he believes she's still alive. He said he believes someone has Caylee and they are under surveillance, but detectives don't seem to share that opinion.

George Anthony took a mobile billboard on the road in hopes of finding someone who's seen his missing granddaughter, but he believes he's in contact with people who claim they've seen her kidnappers. (my note: George was seeing his "affair" at this point.)

"These people know they are being watched. They know it," George told Eyewitness News on Tuesday morning.

"Who are these people?" WFTV reporter Derrol Nail asked.

"I really can't get into that with you," George said.

Sheriff's investigators said there's no evidence 3-year-old Caylee Anthony was kidnapped, but the former deputy continues to suggest she was.

"Yeah, you would think that the people who have my granddaughter right now would be smart enough to turn this girl back in to her family. I don't want anymore of this going on," he said.

"You really believe that, George, with all the evidence out there to the counter?" Nail asked.

"Oh, deeply. You know something? Stuff that's out there so far, I hope I can say this as politely as I can, evidence that's out there is circumstantial. Evidence that's out there is being drawn up in someone's mind. Just because some things look like it's going in one way, it could go in a totally different way," he said.

Sheriff's investigators are still looking for clues to Caylee's whereabouts, but her mother Casey remains the only person of interest in her child's disappearance. She's not talking, though, not even to George.

"Do you think Casey had a hand in her daughter's death?" Nail asked.

"Guys, I don't want to discuss that," George said. "I don't want to believe that. I'm never going to believe that. So I don't ever want to be asked that question again. I don't want you to speculate and put me in the position where I lose my control like I did last week."

After the interview, George spent about an hour in a Target parking lot handing out Caylee t-shirts to anyone who asked. He left the target to go meet with the people helping him and wouldn't say where, but that he had stops in Sanford and Daytona.

George and Cindy both lied during their depositions under oath with Morgan, so yes, I wouldn't be surprised if they also lied under oath during the trial.

I really can't get into that with ya.

Really George? Did you "get into it" with LE?

Is there people out there who could help you find these people?
Yeah, I think the people that have my granddaughter right now would be smart enough to say well listen I got to turn this little girl's family. I don't want any, or this going on.

No. George and Cindy will never ever tell the truth. They will continue to lie and lie and lie. IMHO>

Just curious if anyone really thinks Lee would say anything regarding his parents involvement in a cover up. I don't think he would ever admit anything about that. JMO & wonder what others think.

This is the part that gets me! The arrogance on his part, "I don't want you to put me in the position where I lose control".
He can't control his temper so it's others fault?????:mad:

Interesting question (gosh it's been awhile since I've been here! so many new threads!!!)

If I was betting on this, and I would only bet a little cause the Anthony family are very unpredictible in which way they will sway - I'd say Lee

And the only reason why I say Lee, is because he was the only one to get immunity and he's the only one that hasn't said anything - he's distanced himself

So in my mind, the more distance the better the chance to tell the truth - maybe he's on detox of the family persay :)

I just noticed the title of this thread. Been hanging out in my own world. :innocent:

but Anthony's and Truth does not go in the same sentence,
it just creates a short in my brain, like it clashes'
Like a bad mix of words. :waitasec:

That is GA mentality he has 2 speeds: "In Control" and "LOST CONTRIL" no matter how you look at it. it is the same issue "CONTROL".

GA tell the truth you SOB and you will not need to worry about control.

The only thing they can be witness to is family relationships, communications, character witnesses;
they were nowhere near the Anthony home when any of this happened tp Caylee.
I do agree that they will be good character witnesses.

I do not think the Anthony's will talk - they will only try to-add to the confusion they already created.

I am so with you! Though I'll add -I predict it'll come out after his next suicide attempt. I hope he handles it before then so he doesn't get to that point again but I don't see that happenning and it'll just keep eating him alive.

say something George!!

HOLY CARP BATMAN, THAT'S SOME GOOD SLEUTHING!! Seriously, I had totally forgotten about GA & all his claims to be keeping his eye on the possible kidnappers. What a load of smelly stuff that was.

Loved your post, agreed with everything you said, except for this part:

...maybe Lee is the only decent one in the family and he will tell the truth.

I think LA is as shifty as any of them. JMHO.

Thanks for the great eye-openers.

I was holding out hope that LA or GA would crack. I was unaware Lee and Mallory went on the cruise :(
Now I am pondering whether they all got together for one last hurrah OR whether they all got together over foreign waters where they felt they could not be bugged and get their "stories" ready for trial.

  • #120
I voted no one would crack. I think that lying and cover ups of any behaviors deemed less than perfect to CA has been going on forever: they do not know how to function any other way. This family functioning reminds me of gangs or the mafia, where you don't rat any one out, regardless of circumstances. CA is the Don of the family, the enforcer who makes sure everyone toes the line and sings the song as she directs.
However, I am very interested to see each member try top stand up to the questioning by Jeff Ashton. They will not be allowed to ramble, talk endlessly, or add a bunch of unnecessary details. They will be forced into a corner by his questioning, and I hope that one of these people will think long and hard about that beautiful little innocent child, who they say they loved so much, and who was murdered and thrown away like garbage. I hope one will have the courage to admit what they know.
But, I am not holding my breath.
