:wave:Hi Linask.
:wave:Hi Linask.
there is no plea coming. The state has the body, has the evidence. If she had tried for a plea before the body was found, maybe. But now, there is no reward for the state. We know what was done. Casey is not going to stand up in front of everyoen and tell them how she killed Caylee, never going happen, imo. and the State does not need her to unless they want to save money re trial. But that means she has to stand up and tell everything and you know what, Cindy would still deny it and say she did it to save her life, but she really didn't do it.
Yup! And as much as she complained about being dragged to court, and the outfits Cindy picked out for her, she thoroughly enjoys the attention and the analysis of her looks!I think the main reason Casey will go to trial is because it's only exciting thing that is going to happen in her life EVER AGAIN.....after the trial it's just four walls and days stretching into months / years / decades.

Just for the heck of it, I've decided to blow the cobwebs off this old poll & see how people feel about it now.
Now that GA is being investigated, and has seemingly stopped putting money into KC's account, is he possibly on the edge of cracking?
Does CA's testimony show a possible change of heart for her? (IMO, the answer is a resounding NO, but I'm trying to be fair....)
Could Lee crack in a wave of nervous/uncomfortable chuckles & grins?
Maybe the lack of new shampoo and beef jerky will drive KC finally over the edge to a confession?
If you already voted, would you feel inclined now to change your vote?
I hope I did that multi-quote thing right. :waitasec:
I may be wrong about this but if she pleads this way with no deal from the SA, isn't she risking the DP? If her lawyers suggest this to her, they aren't doing right by their client IMO... but then we all know how JB operates. :loser: Maybe one of our lawyers can post on this and let us know how this would work.
I selected GA will crack, but that's not really what I think will happen, I just think he gets so tangled up in his own lies that he will be confronted with the truth and just not be able to wiggle out and then have to admit something. His lies are a lot more transparent than the others, so I think they may focus on him first at trial.. I don't think he will suddenly develop a conscience.
She had her opportunity way back when IIRC to make a deal but to no avail......BUT.....in KC's mind.......she seems to take things right to the bitter end and suddenly changes her mind about her circumstance. She's not in touch with reality, as it is, she's facing the DP, so what would be the difference if she did decide to tell the truth? She may count on a admission of guilt as being her saving grace to a jury that could make a determination against the DP in exchange for her confession. If JB has anything left for her case, this may be it.
When GA was describing KC to Police at the beginning of the case he said something like My daughter will always take things as far as they can possibly go- and then she will push it further. I expect the Defense to beg for a deal on the day the trial is set to open. She will have gone as far as she can go at that point. She also lives in denial. She spent 7 months waiting for her pregnancy to go away before she could no longer sustain the lie that she had never had sex.
After reading today's letters, I am confident it will not be Cindy!
Shirley Plesea gets my vote!
No one will crack. Judge Strickland summed it up perfectly for me when he said the truth and Miss Anthony are strangers. Imo ICA acted alone, therefore the exact details are known only to her and she will never tell. Too self serving, evil and selfish imo to tell. Correct me if im wrong but its my understanding that even if she takes a plea she is under no obligation to provide the answers of what happened.
What is George going to come clean about? He has already said it was decomp - so he changed his story to now say it was garbage - he implicated his daughter to the grand jury, to the FBI and to the detectives. He changed his story so he could continue living with Cindy (who is not above implicating the innocent).
George is going to lash out at the trial and Perry is going to pull him in and tell him to compose himself and answer the questions. This is not going to be a clone of the Zanaida depos where George looked and acted like a child but who was more than contrite when the lawyers threatened to end the depo and take it to the Judge and ask for sanctions against George (which would include costs being charged to the Anthonys).
Lets not forget that the defense is going to use the sexual abuse angle which is tearing George up right now. That may not come in until the sentencing phase though.
I think GA is done playing the Cindy game here. Once Casey put his name into the picture of him possibly molesting her.. He seems to have had enough of all of them and I think he will be out for himself and say the truth again, and not give into the made up stories they stated in the media time and time again.
For the Defense to bring up the possibility that he had inappropriate contact with Casey, it will have to be brought up during the Trial, to be able to use this angle for her sentencing phase. One can't bring up New Information in Sentencing, unless it was already entered into the court room prior to this phase. imo
Solace I thought for the longest time if you were going to enter a guilty plea, you had to make a statement in detail about the crime. But about four or five months ago, I asked AZLawyer that question, and she said ICA only has to agree to the plea to the Judge and say she understands the ramifications, and her lawyer can read her statement. I don't even think the statement absolutely has to happen.
So now it isn't having to face the court and fess up in detail that is holding ICA back from attempting a plea deal.
