None of them will tell the whole truth. The habit is so entrenched in that family of talking in circles, speaking in unfinished sentences, and ultimately saying nothing that makes any sense. Not one of them will voluntarily tell the truth. They will just sprinkle words and phrases such as "you know what?" and "absolutely" and "mis-truths" and "I don't see the relevance of that question" until everyone in the Courtroom wants to hurl

The Court will have to admonish repeatedly and finally threaten to hold them in contempt or jail them before they will answer a direct question. It is going to totally frustrate the Court and the State. I surely do hope that Judge Perry has a game plan to put into action when this happens. We have already witnessed the Court having to sanction Jose Baez for not doing what the Court ordered. The Anthonys will be no different.

From what we have seen of LDB in action she would never allow CA or anyone else to manipulate the Court in that way. She will ask questions so that CA cannot go off on a rant or a tangent. CA is no match for LDB. We have already seen that.

Exactly. This is not a "deposition" - it is a trial. George already tried that with LDB in Strickland's court and Strickland said "hold on, she is asking for the name". And George gave it.

Having said that, George is going to reiterate what he told the Grand Jury and LDB is going to see to it. I don't know what Cindy's and George's lawyer was thinking when he let them both get away with what they have been doing in the past, e.g. lying, especially at the deposition, but it is NOT going to happen here and it is going to be hard on them. On last night's show, he said we are looking for the truth and as we get to the end, it is going to be very hard. I took that as meaning he knows ICA is guilty and the Anthony's will have a difficult time.

This family lies at every turn. They have no respect for the detectives, the court or the law and they will try but it will be over as fast as they open their mouth. I wonder how much laughing Lee will be doing on the stand.

None of them. I have no anger/bitterness towards LA...regardless...

Cindy and GA have repeatedly maintained that they "want answers. They want the truth."

CA now says Caylee is alive. None of us have seen nor heard from GA in a long time save for a statement put out jointly by CA/GA that their marriage is fine and another statement in which GA says he was never more than friends with RC.

ICA will be convicted. Likely sentenced to death. When that inevitably happens...they will be fighting tooth and nail for her appeals...nothing more. I can't see them changing their tune after all of this time.

I remember on the morning shows...early on in this case, Cindy said (way before Caylee was found, and before ICA was bailed out) that if ICA was responsible, that she would be punished...can't remember the actual interview but it was before CA started blaming the public, pizza, squirrels and everything else.

But when the ultimate punishment is death...how in the world do they not keep fighting after her conviction? Regardless of whether they want the truth, already have most of the truth, or will continue to deny the truth. They will just say the jury was wrong, prosecution is mean and bullying...the facts didn't come out...JB screwed up (which well...pretty much everyone will be saying that once the verdict is rendered)...

LittleBitty just cannot see how, publically, they will do anything different than they have all along. Privately, that is a matter for their souls, God, whomever...But publically, if they were to change their tune...the ONLY reason I can see this happening is if ICA gets on the stand and says it was a horrible accident/all her fault and she is so sorry...because otherwise, they will continue to blame the entire universe but their daughter if she is sentenced to death.

ITA Cindy may try,in that pitiful way she did at the hearing about the 911 calls, but LDB and JA,along with HHJBP will stop her in her tracks. She will also try to slip in that she believes Caylee is still alive. Cindy is like glass, though. The jury will see right through her.

I don't think they will sentence her to death. The defense is going to pull out abuse and dysfunctionality and how much this girl needed help and did not get it starting as early as highschool and I don't think they will go for death. But I do think the State will go as far as saying she is capable of killing again if the moment presented itself and that will stay with the jury. Depending upon how "eloquent" the State is in their final statement though. I do not think Perry would have a problem sentencing her to death if the jury went for that. IMO. Thank you.

The trial is going to be horrendous for Cindy. And the sentencing phase will be as much for George if they pull out sexual abuse.

I agree that the trial is going to be very hard on Cindy and George, but I also believe that this trial is going to be hard on all the innocent people who have been dragged into this case just by simply knowing Casey Anthony.

For the most part, all these young people have shown amazing restraint and compassion for Caylee. Through all the mud-slinging from the Anthony's and the defense, they have remained silent and have not added to the circus the Anthony's and the defense have created. I just really hope that once this trial is over, they can go on and live their lives with peace and happiness. God knows they deserve it!

Cindy and George have created this monster themselves... literally! They created Casey and enabled her to become the murderer that she is today. They have lied... VICIOUSLY... with no care for the people they were hurting. Lies that could have ruined these young peoples lives... and for what? Casey?

The trial is going to be awful for them, but maybe that is what they need? A slap upside the head from reality itself?

Absolutely Agree with your post. The slander against Amy and others has been terrible. The slander against Jesse Grund was unreal especially since he was willing to take care of that baby.

I'm not certain about the fact finding or first part of the guilt/innocence part of the trial, but in the penalty/mitigation part of the trial, one of the things the State is not allowed to say is that she is "a danger to society", nor can he comment on "no remorse".

Off the above topic, if Cindy starts her "Caylee is alive" rubbish, I think LDB will just nail her, starting off with "can you be more specific?", and stop CA once and for all.

I agree this trial will be very hard on Cindy. George already has most of the answers. But Cindy will hear evidence that is undisputable - and my hope is she will finally fully accept her daughter's guilt.

My hope is a bit like Reagan's powerball win, I'm afraid - I won - oh no I didn't. But then I like endings with everything tied up and placed in neat little boxes - sigh.

I did not know that. Thank you. Can they bring in "sexual" abuse, if they did not bring it in at trial?

I don't know if it would be a good idea for LDB to ask Cindy to be more specific about anything. They may never get her to shut up. She would be on that stand for a month strong before stepping down from the witness stand.

If I were LDB and Cindy brought up her "Caylee is alive" crap, I would simply do this.

Cindy: Caylee is alive.

LDB: Oh, shut up, Cindy! No further questions.

:rocker: Wishful thinking of course!

How about "the witness is unresponsive".

LOL, I wish too. You know she's going to go off on her crazy codes for this and that tangent, and bring up more craziness to support her theory. She will come off looking like a total nut. I'm really hoping that they don't have to ask her about that. What she thinks of Caylee being alive or dead doesn't do anything to exonerate Casey since she has nothing to show for it anyway, unless she wants to bring up DC (didn't he have pictures or explanations of where Caylee is?)...that would be awesome! I think JB might faint, lol.

I'll be astonished of CA doesn't leave the witness stand directly into a 48 hour psych eval hold. I think all the lies and stories and denial and everything will have finally piled up to the point where she looses it.

Ya know, letting Cindy ramble, and ramble, and ramble on may not be such a bad thing.

The longer she talks and yammers, the more that the jury will see Casey's reactions to her mother. Now that Judge Perry has allowed the defense to switch up sides to where they are going to be sitting; the jury is going to have a head on look at the defense table at all times.

Cindy will ramble and make no sense, and Casey may just be the one that in the end looses it and jumps up and either admits what happened, or, she'll take a head dive over the table and go after her mother.

Either way, I'd say let her talk all she wants ~ Let the jury see Casey writing her angry notes and shoving them to her "boys".
Let them see her clench her jaw, roll her eyes, make her pruney mouth grimaces, and, the looks that will be exchanged between her and mother.

Let her talk ~ And let the jury observe.

I remember the first time I heard CA in the Yuri interview. I had to turn the thing off before I could continue some months later. It is like listenting to a paranoid schizophrenic explain why and how it happened.

I'll never forget the Megan Kelly interview, a week or so into this ~
She was rambling nut, and so rude.

Megan Kelly gave her a smack-down that had she been wearing false teeth, I'm sure she would have seen her picking them had the netword not just cut away from Cindy.

Megan Kelly ripped her a new one, and told her that they would keep Caylee's photo in the news, because it was apparent that the family didn't care what had happened the way that Cindy carried on like a mad woman.

I bet it is the first and only time that anyone really stood up to Cindy, and, she was actually shocked that someone would take that attitude with her.
I bet she was spitting all the way home that morning.

I saw it "live", and I wanted to send Megan roses!

The state should zip-lock every one of the Anthony's to their chairs and make them sit and hear everything.

It's not like they aren't going to find a way to hear what goes on every day anyway in that court room, even if they are not allowed in during certain questioning of witness's.

Make them suck it up and hear and see everything so that they are left without a reasonable doubt of what really happened to "that child".

  • #340
She will leave the courtroom many times.

Which makes Cindy and George's claims that they "just want to know the truth" another LIE. Cindy will run away because she doesn't want to be confronted with the truth. If both of them really wanted to know the truth about what happened to Caylee, they will sit through all the testimony of all expert witnesses... but they won't. Heck, what am I even saying? All of the testimony about the remains of this child are not even Caylee's, according to them?
