Which makes Cindy and George's claims that they "just want to know the truth" another LIE. Cindy will run away because she doesn't want to be confronted with the truth. If both of them really wanted to know the truth about what happened to Caylee, they will sit through all the testimony of all expert witnesses... but they won't. Heck, what am I even saying? All of the testimony about the remains of this child are not even Caylee's, according to them?

For Caylee who went through it, they should sit through it. Just my opinion.

The state should zip-lock every one of the Anthony's to their chairs and make them sit and hear everything.

It's not like they aren't going to find a way to hear what goes on every day anyway in that court room, even if they are not allowed in during certain questioning of witness's.

Make them suck it up and hear and see everything so that they are left without a reasonable doubt of what really happened to "that child".

Couldn't Judge Perry order a gag order for all witnesses (and lawyers) during the trial? I really hope he does, if he is allowed. I don't want Cindy and George to be able to say two words during Casey's trial... this will be Caylee's time. Time for her voice to be heard!

I would also LOVE it if it were legal to zip-lock them to their chairs to make sure they watch and hear everything during the trial. Maybe duct tape would be more appropriate?

I did not know that. Thank you. Can they bring in "sexual" abuse, if they did not bring it in at trial?

Yes, the Defense can at the mitigation phase, after a guilty verdict, and generally the jury gives it "some" weight - and I gather from the comments along with that, means it won't be enough consideration to change a death or LWOP recommendation.

I was reading in the judicial manual about an example of a young fellow who was horribly and repeated abused by his mother's boyfriends, and it made no difference at all to the final jury sentence recommendation, which was death.

I see you posted this question in the Legal Thread also - thank you, I have no idea if HHJP can or will, but listening to CA opine during the trial may be the very thing that tips us at WS over the edge.

Really interested to see how AZ will answer your question!

I think CM will make sure that CA keeps her mouth shut. Remember when Judge Perry held his first hearing and Cindy Anthony was asked what she thought of the case having a new Judge and her answer was "its a no brainer".

I wonder if she still feels it is a no brainer. My personal opinion is they should have stayed with Strickland and perhaps JB would not be in the position he is now. Perry goes STRICTLY by the letter of the law and THE RULES.

I think they were desperate for some kind of defense ruling and got Strickland off and now they are paying for it. But it is great for Justice. No offense at all to Strickland; I just think they would have had a little more latitude with Strickland.

I think Perry is fair and has given latitude to the defense but there is a limit.

I don't think they should be allowed to talk to the media during the trial and I really hope that if Judge Perry is allowed to, he should issue a gag order for all witnesses and lawyers. It wouldn't be right for Cindy and George to go on national television and try to challenge what other witnesses are saying about Casey. I don't think the young people in this case deserve it and I don't think the women and men who have worked so hard for this case to get to the point of trial to have someone like the Anthony's questioning their hard work.

If they had wanted to know the trueth, they would have been going to the jail on every visitation day and letting it be known that they were there to see their daughter.

Regardless of her wishes to not see them, I would show up anyway so that someone would have to go and tell her that "I am here".

It wouldn't make any differance to me that she, or, her attorney had standing orders that she didn't want to see me.
I would still be there.

And, until I had the answers that made sense, she wouldn't be getting her treat money deposited in to her account, either for that matter.

I could have sworn I heard this months ago that she was sentenced to 25 years. They want an answer and are not getting it. She is basically being sentenced for the death of this child.

OT/The one last year for 25 years is for a drug trafficking charge in St. John's county. The newest sentence of 25 years is for Putnam County. Does that mean she has a total of 50 years in prison? If so, I'd call that justice!

Back on topic, the only truth Cindy wants to hear is the one she made up almost three years ago and can't let go of.

..exactly, that's the only truth she knows, what she makes up she goes along..and whatever is "key" to her at the moment..(subject to change at any given time..)

..and O/T misty:

("Since each sentence will run concurrent with the others and with her previous sentence, there is no added prison time beyond the original 25 years." )

She will leave the courtroom many times.

I hope she does instead of jumping up and down or she'll get herself banned from the courtrom.

I'll never forget the Megan Kelly interview, a week or so into this ~
She was rambling nut, and so rude.

Megan Kelly gave her a smack-down that had she been wearing false teeth, I'm sure she would have seen her picking them had the netword not just cut away from Cindy.

Megan Kelly ripped her a new one, and told her that they would keep Caylee's photo in the news, because it was apparent that the family didn't care what had happened the way that Cindy carried on like a mad woman.

I bet it is the first and only time that anyone really stood up to Cindy, and, she was actually shocked that someone would take that attitude with her.
I bet she was spitting all the way home that morning.

I saw it "live", and I wanted to send Megan roses!

Is there a video of that interview? I don't remember seeing it.

I don't know if it would be a good idea for LDB to ask Cindy to be more specific about anything. They may never get her to shut up. She would be on that stand for a month strong before stepping down from the witness stand.

If I were LDB and Cindy brought up her "Caylee is alive" crap, I would simply do this.

Cindy: Caylee is alive.

LDB: Oh, shut up, Cindy! No further questions.

:rocker: Wishful thinking of course!

How about " what have you done to try and find Caylee in the last 6 months? "

Leila, don't eat or drink anything while you watch this! Megyn Kelly really rips Cindy a new one... you'll love it!

Snaz.................Thanks! I did see this interview, but it's been soooo long ago now that I forgot the reporter's name/interview. The minute I started watching the video............it all came back to me.

That is an incredible video.............I think Megyn Kelly is the only media person (besides Kathy Belich) who's stood up to Cindy. we NEED more reporters/media like Megyn and Kathy!

I absolutely agree with this statement! Yes! Yes! Yes!

This is the interview where anchor M.Kelly says
" Caylee has been missing for 6 weeks"
and Cindy responds "ummm she been missing ummm from Casey since June 14"

I find it ironic how Cindy gets upset because she feels that she is being cut off and not allowed to speak..yet she does just that herself in interviews.. and she hangs up WHY because she is being asked questions she does not like nor want to answer...IMO

Oh and didn't Casey get upset about the same thing in the jail video visitation when speaking to Cindy?

I understand everything everyone is saying re this interview, but I really feel Megyn handled it wrong especially when she got so upset at the end after Cindy hung up. She is supposed to be a professional and a voice of reason and she looked like someone who was just going to get her say in and did not really "care" about the child at all.

This is what I took from it. It was early in the investigation and everyone can see that Cindy is suffering and probably knows the child is dead, so Megyn, in my opinion, should have shown more professionalism rather than acting like the protestors outside of the Anthony's home who were no less than "trailer trash".

I don't disagree with you Solace..
Yet I find Cindy comes across, even from the beginning of this case when I watched her here on local news, as confrontational..
