I find it really, really difficult to read some peoples posts on this page (and got given a thread TO because of my responses). The press do write negative press about royalty, but if there is something positive they also print it. They are a company making money selling news. What is saddening is the posters who criticise others as bullies merely for sharing that news article, or accuse individuals of being malicious, they may not have shared the article for either of those reasons.
Ps if anyone has Prince Harry’s and Meghans personal email, would you send them this link.

Ruth, I would like to say that I dont always agree with your viewpoint but I do find your posts to be balanced and if I may say, well thought out. I would have no problem if everyone here was the same.

Royal rescue: How Queen's grandfather saved Prince Philip's life before engagement exposed

The Queen's grandfather saved Prince Phillip's life when he was just a child.

I wonder if George V ultimate decision not to extend refuge and sanctuary to his cousin Tsar Nicholas II and his family, and the tragic events that followed, influenced his decision to help the Greek royal family?

For me I think there’s a difference between posting genuinely new engagements or announcements or charitable/business opportunities that the press writes about (for any Royal) and rehashing the same opinion pieces over and over again. It gets to the point where it’s just ragging on certain people without adding anything new. I think it’s the latter that many posters are tired of and the mods are tired of moderating.

I think you possibly missed the worst of it, Ruth. Threads #12 and #13 got deleted completely because of "vitriol" and "venom" (mods words) towards M&H. So, there's some back story that you may not have been aware of.

Anyway, as I keep saying, there are plenty of other royals to be chatting about!

Yes, I suspect that played a big part in it. Fascinates me that Phillip was allegedly smuggled out of Greece in a fruit crate.

Off on a tangent, I wonder if a British royal will ever again marry a European royal, as was typical back in the day.

Thank you for that, yes I hadn’t seen any of that and perhaps explains a lot.
So many royals, I agree (still not a tiara person, but I do like a ski slope story)

Meghan Markle's homeless brother says she should have spent more time looking after her family | Daily Mail Online

You can't pick your family. I wonder how much time Meghan has ever spent with this guy? Why doesn't he go live with Samantha, his full sister, or his Dad?

Why does he not go and get a job? Why should his half-sister be financially responsible for him? Would he expect Meghan to pay for his expenses if she was a waitress in a diner? It is unbelievable.

Ooo (Charlotte reminds me of a young Queen) but she does also favor her mother in these childhood pics.

I think Lady Louise Windsor Prince Edward’s daughter looks like Her Majesty when she was younger too.

Wow, if only the world had listened 50 years ago:

If only he'd listen to himself now and stop flying private, taking helicopters, having multiple homes that are unused for large parts of the year etc.

I can't stand his hypocrisy

Well, first Earth Day was designated on April 22, 1970.

Back then, lots of hippies, of course. And yes, much was regarded as “completely potty”. But it began a movement of regulations, air and water clean ups, polluting factory shut downs, recycling, and the establishment of Environmental Protection Agency (EPA),

The electric car was developed in the 60’s and quashed. But we are finally getting with it now with hybrids and electric.

Charles, while around ten years older than me has been right on the money for decades. He’s written and advocated extensively on the subjects of environmentalism, and sustainability.

And, he’s also right now that we are at a tipping point.
