MM was received warmly and with open arms by the BRF. As Harry himself said “the family that she never had”

We can see how she was welcomed in more than a few instances:

The public announcements made by the BRF in acknowledging her as a soon to be family member.

The cottage they were living in prior to marriage.

Prince Charles joyfully stepping in to walk her down the aisle. The manner and timing in which it was done was undoubtably for the grief and embarrassment factors.

The same warmth extended to Doria.

The millions spent on the wedding with no budget stipulation in sight.

The millions put in to Frogmore tailored for her comfort.

The millions spent on her wardrobe of choice, no one made her wear anything. The only protocol as a RF female member is to wear hosiery for working events. She knew that going in, she did it for a very short period of time before she completely abandoned it.

The lifetime funding that goes straight to their account.

All daily task in the way of cooking, cleaning, laundry, market shopping, putting fuel in your vehicle, etc is taken care of.

The appointed titles bestowed upon her/them by the Queen.

The moral support and complimentary public remarks from the BRF as the crazy Markle family stuff began to surface.

Despite all of the above and more, MM has publicly and secretively claimed she was mistreated by the RF. We know now that she began to make plans on her own and apart from them early on. Anyone knows that in most business partnerships it’s typically advisable to give it at least three years to make an informed assessment for future direction. She bailed well in advance of that under the best of circumstances.

She hasn’t endured diabolical circumstances; working laborious hours in compromising conditions. It’s not a family farming business, having to hunt, kill for the bacon and manual labor for milk. There are no ugly uniforms, no early morning deadlines, making payroll on a budget...

In light of this she decided to air her woes & issues in a documentary followed up by a surprise global online announcement. Not including the secret negotiations that were taking place to benefit her new life apart from the RF. That’s a pretty big deal and a very deep cut to the “family she’s never had”. I can’t imagine how grievous this was to the Queen, it’s a dirty move to say the least. Add to that Harry’s offspring being held hostage, as well as her husband’s numbered days.

How can anyone feel sorry for her considering what she ‘had to work with’. For most people it’s a lifetime opportunity from which to launch from. Instead she said that “it’s not enough just to survive, you have to thrive” while she was standing feet away from among the indigenous population barely surviving much less thriving.

Will she ever be happy? Is it just not in her DNA?

I have no sympathy for her, if I did it would concern me. IMO

Well said, but I would add: I paid little attention to the couple early on, aside from seeing a few glowing headlines and flattering photos. It seemed that they were the BRF "it" couple -lot's of photos of the laughing and smiling couple; her sitting with the queen; headlines about being invited to Sandringham for the family Christmas, which set a precedent, etc. Lot's of precedents.

What made me sit up and pay attention was the coat at Eugenie's wedding, as well as reports that their "expecting" status became a topic at that wedding. Even in my small and insignificant life, I would recognize that announcing my pregnancy right before a family wedding would result in taking attention away from the "once in a lifetime" event, where people overhear the obligatory "congratulations" that the family would give. I just wouldn't do it. Surely, this is a basic consideration that would be evident to a family who lives in the limelight, wherein events and announcements are carefully planned so as to not do just that.

Then: The coat! Two top buttons closed, but not the ones over her abdomen, obviously a signal that she's pregnant. That was the point when I started paying more attention, and it all went south for me. I find them both unpleasant, but the poor, "surviving-only" duchess really beyond the pale.

I love that DC loves to cook when she visits organizations. So down to earth and relatable in every day life

Kate either had a haircut in Ireland or had extensions in yesterday. I love her hair today.

I hate even saying this but I the coronavirus is a legitimate reason to not attend.

Don't throw rocks at me please!!!

I never throw thing so no worries.

The way the media is labeling it a farewell tour is funny. The left voluntarily and it should be called something else since the UK was never in the heart for one of them.

If events are cancelled then they really don't have to reschedule them except for the Commonwealth service.

If I was MM, there is no way I'd travel right now. I think she should cancel her trip.
