I like that tiara very much. Very nicely seated on Her Majesty The Queen.

Maybe it's heavy or something. I'll take it off her hands if she doesn't really want it.

In the story about the mansion. Harry is adamant that his child is not growing up as a Royal

Not Royal in a traditional sense, but want to hang with the A list actors in LA, TV/Movie Royalty, which is a much more entitled, spoiled lifestyle. Seems a little off to me.

And no, it did not say they had bought anything yet. Speculation is they are either 'renting' while looking or someone is 'hosting' them by letting them live there. Sorry, but you leave the Royal life of actually DOING something while living the life, and move to Cali and basically still want to live in luxury that someone else pays for. Nope. Not impressed.

At this point I’ve decided that many royal women should take a page from the queen and wear a REAL hat, rather than a fascinator. Not in all cases, but so many fascinators just look ridiculous. They seem to usually be oriented toward an “unusual” or avant guarde look, rather than simply a complement to the current outfit. Actually, many fascinators look freakish in my opinion.

There are certainly overly-extravagant hats, but that is mostly fascinator territory, for whatever reason. HM often wears stunning hats, but one of my favorites was Camilla’s hat for her wedding to PC. Why can’t more royal women follow in their footsteps???

I agree. There really is a huge difference between a fascinator and a hat and I have to think a hat is just all around a better choice.

Most of us are totally out of the loop of the rich and famous. I am not in it, but I live where I can see some of it.

The truly rich have multiple homes and they let friends live in their unused homes. Many are used a couple of times a year for a week here and there.

Harry certainly liked the glam life. Think of Las Vegas.

That article says Dr Jane 'thinks he's finding life challenging'. She thinks, it's just her own view, not direct words from Harry. Bet she's going to be off the Christmas card list now! It's challenging for anyone when you move to a different country and right now life is challenging for just about everyone anyway. IMO

The Easter weekend is usually when the royals like to get away and over the years, we've been treated to some amazing photos from their travels and celebrations. This year however has been very different, due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and the British royals and their European counterparts have remained in their homes.

Many royals have still shared their activities from the Easter weekend, with the Swedish family posting footage of their digital celebrations over a video call. Take a look at what the likes of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Princess Charlene of Monaco got up to over the holiday.

I don't really agree with that, there are more stuff that people have in common than how wealthy they grew up. I grew up lower middle class but have an excellent friend who grew up as rich as croesus, we bonded over books we both loved and hiking.

Harry has lived amongst ordinary people in the army, while they may not have had similar experiences growing up, he definitely has a shared background with them because of their experiences in the army.

I don't mind a normal fascinator but I absolutely hate a fascinator that goes over the forehead, I think its an awful look and can't understand why so many young royals go for that look, its so unattractive IMHO.

The Danish royal court has released incredible new portraits of Queen Margrethe of Denmark to mark her milestone birthday on 16 April. The monarch turns 80 on Thursday and has been pictured with the heir to the throne and her eldest son, Crown Prince Frederik, and next in line, his 14-year-old son, Prince Christian.

The images were taken in autumn and winter 2019 at Christian IX's mansion at Amalienborg palace in Copenhagen, as well as at Fredensborg Castle, by photographer Per Morten Abrahamsen. The queen wears a deep purple long-sleeve shift dress and patent black loafers in each of the photos, accessorising with leaf-shaped earrings and a floral brooch, while her heirs are dressed smartly in coordinating suits.

Interesting point about the style that goes over the forehead. I think that's a key factor that I find so off-putting about them!

And about hats: I'm such a hat person, but don't really have the body (head?) shape/style to wear them to very great effect, and I certainly don't have the lifestyle/funds to wear the kind I find so compelling. If I did, though, I'd wear lots of them! I think they can be such a fun accessory, and really add wow factor to an outfit. Love, love, love feathers on a hat done right, such as in Camilla's wedding hat!

I've said this before somewhere here probably, but I'm reminded again by this photo: Modern monarchy is such a paradox: They are "heads of state" as it were, but with virtually no power. Then, there are the Queen Elizabeth II's and the Queen Margrethe's who seem to take a traditional attitude about it, wanting to reign for life, considering it a sober and important responsibility, ordained by God. They make the promise, and keep it.

However, modern life is such that people live for, practically, EVER! You have Prince Charles who might someday become king long after most modern monarchs have abdicated in favor of the younger generation. I find it a very strange situation, that one becomes king long into "old age".

Yes, Camilla's wedding hat was amazing. It was really absolutely perfect.

I've never ever seen a fascinator that came near to the elegance, the subtlely, and the charm of that fabulous hat. It suited her and the occasion so perfectly.
