Please pardon my ignorance of hat fashion- but wanted to ask.
Why is it called a fascinator?

I’m thinking something smaller, as an accessory or chic element versus the large overpowering eyebrow raising ones? JMO

M has been having her friends speak out all the time and she enjoys it. MOO

Emphasis mine.

One would expect to hear this language from someone who knows her well. Well?

Because they're little gems -powerful, but small, fashion statements meant to..... fascinate?

Maybe because you look at them and think: "How in the heck is that thing fastened on her head?"

Dunno, but very over-used, IMO!

And this one, Archewell Charity links to this message:

We will surrender this domain upon the immediate and safe return of Prince Henry Charles Albert David, Duke of Sussex to Her Majesty's United Kingdom:

Buckingham Palace
Westminster
London
SW1A 1AA
United Kingdom

Failing to secure the domain for any and all variations of this new foundation has gotta be the most damaging business oversight in the history of ever. That's like Business 101. Even I knew to do that for my personal blog (and even created pages with its name across all social media platforms) and business savvy... I am not.

Prince George's godfather, the Duke of Westminster, donates £12.5 million to the UK's COVID-19 relief effort

Prince George's godfather personally donates millions to UK's fight against coronavirus
Hugh Grosevnor praised the work of the NHS

One of
Prince George's godfathers has personally donated £10 million to the UK's COVID-19 relief effort. Hugh Grosvenor, the Duke of Westminster, 29, has contributed a total of £12.5 million to the fight against coronavirus, after an initial donation of £2.5 million in March, which was primarily granted to charities providing essential food distribution, especially to vulnerable families at this time.

Through the Westminster Foundation, £5 million will go towards NHS Charities Together, specifically to create a 'Family Fund' that will support NHS workers and their families; £3 million to national medical research and development linked to COVID-19; and £2 million to charities and organisations providing frontline support to people who will feel the greatest long-term economic and social impact of the crisis.

Its a beautiful photo of her on the cover but I don't understand why they didn't use an up to date photo. She's 70, thats a great age to get to and still be working and show no sign of slowing down, why not celebrate that rather than putting a so much younger photo of her on the magazine cover. Especially when shes talking about all the experience shes gained over the years in the article.

Googled it and the oldest woman to have ever been solo on a vanity fair cover was Caitlyn Jenner at 65 (Caitlyn Jenner, 65, Is the Oldest Woman to Appear on the Cover of Vanity Fair)

Anyone else think Vanity Fair might have a problem with women aging?

How the royals are staying fit during the coronavirus lockdown, including Kate Middleton's love of tennis and running

How the royals are staying fit during the coronavirus lockdown
From the Queen to the Duchess of Cambridge, the royals are an active family

The government's current guidelines allow one form of exercise a day outside during the UK coronavirus lockdown. The royals have remained at their respective homes, carrying out their engagements remotely instead, but HELLO! has taken a look at how the Queen and her family may be using their down-time to stay active with some of their favourite hobbies.

I love seeing these photos of Princess Anne in her younger days. I think it will attract more readers.

Just kind of a fact of the entertainment media life, I guess.

I would have thought Helen Mirren would have snagged a VF cover.

It makes no sense, it’s beyond comprehension. No professional would overlook that simple but critical factor. Between the 2 of them I would think they’d recognize the need to consult with an experienced resource.

Honestly I don’t think they are surrounded with true professionals else this never would have happened IMO I’m feeling sorry for his naïveté

Calls for the nation to come together to sing Happy Birthday to the Queen on 21 April

The Queen: Calls for the nation to sing Happy Birthday from doorsteps and windows
The singalong will take place at 9am on 21 April

The Queen is set to celebrate her 94th birthday on 21 April, and in honour of the occasion there are calls for the country to come together to sing Happy Birthday to Her Majesty. In much the same way the nation claps for the NHS at 8pm every Thursday, it is hoped that the public will rally to send a message of hope and solidarity to the monarch. Among those championing the idea is Ben Fogle, who took to Twitter to spread the word. "It is the Queen’s birthday next Tuesday. Let's throw her a surprise," he wrote. "At 9am 21st April, we are calling on the whole country to sing Happy Birthday from our windows and doorsteps. Let our song bring good cheer not just to Her Majesty but to the whole nation. #singforthequeen." He accompanied his tweet with a video showing his daughter Iona imploring the country to take part.

The Queen famously has two birthday celebrations every year. She was born on 21 April 1926, but her birthday is officially marked in June. This celebration, referred to as Trooping the Colour, is a moveable date, and in 2020 was set to take place on 13 June. Sadly, however, this year it will not go ahead due to the coronavirus restrictions. In a statement, Buckingham Palace said: "In line with Government advice, it has been agreed that The Queen’s Birthday Parade, also known as Trooping the Colour, will not go ahead in its traditional form. A number of other options are being considered, in line with relevant guidance."

Sometimes charity is a where you are event.

I think it’s great if M&H helped out delivering meals. From what I’ve read, there’s a side of LA that Meghan knows and it has very little to do with celebrity. Working to help the homeless when she was young was an act of charity. And, Harry knows a life of helping charities. I would think he’d feel perfectly at home doing something nice like this in LA. Plus, how many are clued in that they are royals, or in perpetual hot water in Britain?

Members of the RF are doing the same where they are. It’s all good. Imo.

It may be that LA is not a bad place to live anonymously. There are a whole lot of famous people who you never see in the tabloids.

And gotta say the CA coast and weather are pretty spectacular most of the time.

I also like that California has survived the pandemic, so far, with very low numbers comparatively. They may have dodged the worst of it.
