Who wants to see the Queen on a zoom call? :)

The Queen has taken part in a video call to hear about the work that continues for the British Army, Royal Navy and Royal Air Force.

She spoke to three service personnel, who joined the call from around the world, about their work and other activities away from the forces.

'It sounds as though you're rather busy'

I think that’s great that the Queen is participating in Zoom video calls. Good for her, it’s impressive!

Meghan Markle left Kate 'upset' with 'foot-stamping rant' at royal staff

"And it was that incident, that I was told by someone who was actually there, who said it was really uncomfortable because Meghan just lost it with this person.

"The reason she lost it with Kate's member of staff was that she, Meghan, didn't feel that this person was giving her the sort of attention she deserved.

What a nothingburger. So Meghan was a bit of a Bridezilla. Not the first or the last.

Catherine needs to get over herself.

IMO

I am shocked that William would be celebrating opening pubs and that royals are pictured without masks.

isn’t the death rate in England horrendous?
It's the highest in Europe, I read today in the news. No link, just saw a headline.

Fashion Friday

This is one of my favourite dresses worn by Princess Diana. I had forgotten about it. There's lots of focus on her evening gowns, but I still love a lot of the "every day" dresses that she wore.

She wore the dress a few different times

Seems she wore polka dots a lot more than I remember.

80's maternity style :D

I wonder where all these outfits are. Did they throw them away, give them away? Are they in a clothing archive somewhere?
That first one is such a great dress.

I think Althorpe, the Spencer family estate, has a lot of Diana's clothing. When I was there in 2000 they had her wedding dress (and handmade wedding shoes signed by the cobbler) on display plus a lot of others, but mostly evening wear.

ETA Do I recall correctly that some of Diana's dresses were auctioned for charity years ago?

Maybe I'm thinking of this charity auction of her clothes, before she was killed.

Considering that both Catherine and Meghan were born "commoners" they are equal in "class".

Meghan having a bridezilla moment, and Catherine whingeing about it, seems to me Catherine should have kept her mouth shut and taken the higher road. Showing a little empathy for her soon-to-be American sister-in-law would have been a much classier move.

Most of what we've read about Meghan has been from "Palace sources". No doubt those people are highly favorable to Catherine, as she is the future <modsnip> of the monarchy.

I can't imagine being a bride-to-be in a foreign country with such a high-profile family and to have people tattling to the Press on me over every little thing. What a welcome!

The DoCam seems to be a truly lovely person and is kind and considerate of her staff. I'm glad that she would stand up for them.

I'm starting to get that impression about the Countess of Wessex, too. She has definitely risen in my esteem of late!
