Listen, the Royal family will be just fine in years to come. Andrew isn't (or at least wasn't) the most known of the family, the generation below us and the one after that won't remember much, other than he was William's errant uncle. In 20 years or so William & Kate will be on the throne, we'll be swooning over the antics of George, Charlotte & Louis and fondly still remembering the Queen and Diana. Everyone else will pale into insignificance. Story over. Move on.

I hope this is the case.

Here is the BBC 6 things we take away from the Prince Andrew interview. Their points are scathing of his lack of candor and concern

Six things we learned from Prince Andrew interview

And the recept description of Epstein's Zorro Ranch in New Mexico strains credulity that Prince Andrew visiting was ignorant of the underage girls filling the place. There are lots of questions about the financial relationship between Epstein and Prince Andrew. PA did not have a lavish income and had already been trashed by the UK public as Airmiles Andy for accepting monies from shady businessmen for his influence. Follow the money.

And then Prince Andrew's claim that he stayed in the UK Consultate for that visit in April when the crimes are allleged to have occured in in question. The British ex-Consul General in charge at the time has no record of it.

oh boy, this one is pretty scathing IMO

The royal rift continues: 'No one' in the royal family 'is checking in, texting or speaking' to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, source claims to People magazine

I believe Prince Harry when he says that he had not been born into Royalty. I really doubt he wants to be King and is jealous.

The Queen did not know their plans? I am sure security has to be worked out weeks if not months in advance

I agree they should be in the press. I view much of the negative press as bullying and I support my position by what has been reported in the Lawsuit.

I totally agree. Let’s see. People say Meghan is an attention seeker. Yet Harry says they do not like the press intrusion. Which is it?

I imagine when they went to the pub in their community it was a photo op with plenty of security as well as a nice advertisement for the neighborhood pub which probably brought it good things.

People want to see Archie but unless he can levitate, one or both parents will be holding him.

They have photo ops for causes they want to promote. Then there are those that the press insists on such as the baby shower.

There were posters on here upset about the renovations at Frogmore including the copper bathtub which does not exist.

Apparently people feel that Harry and Meghan should simply accept lies about them?

If the tabloid business was not super lucrative, there would be none. And a few lawsuits probably hardly affect the bottom line.

When Prince William and Kate went to Pakistan, it sounded like there were 100 press members with. Is that true?

Meghan and Harry are the new subject to exploit.

If what has been reported in the lawsuit is the worst of what has been said about them, they are doing extremely well. Much worse has been said about almost every other member of the Royal Family at some point or another.

Negative press is not bullying, especially not when it is warranted. If you want to see an example of somebody being bullied by the press, have a look at what happened to Gareth Thomas. That's bullying.

Nobody is under any obligation to like Harry and Meghan just because they are Royals.

Sarah Ferguson has been pictured arriving at Buckingham Palace where it is reported she is having a 'crisis summit' with Prince Andrew.

The Duchess of York dashed to the palace after the Duke, who was earlier seen in public for the first time since announcing he would be stepping away from royal duties.

I think the two of them should emigrate to their ski chalet in Verbier indefinitely.

I think the Harry and Megan problem all stems from not knowing each other very well before they married, then had a child, then started espousing all sorts of non-Royal charity issues.

In terms of life-change stresses that psychologists use, Harry is off the scale and Megan is up there, too.

They need to figure out who they each are and how they fit together. I don't think a 6 week holiday in the US is going to fix this. They need years of basic living, IHMO, but I don't see either of them allowing enough time to figure it out in private. I suspect this 6 week holiday is because Megan is in the early stages of pregnancy, again, and it allows them a full 12 weeks before announcing it. Add another child under 2 to the Stress Calculator. I just don't see them holding this all together for a lifetime.

But they'd have to pay for everything themselves. No more Royal junkets. No more special deals. No more payoffs for "influence."

Prince Andrew is not nearly as well-off as one might think. Perhaps that might improve with an inheritance, but these two are going to have serious financial issues until then. Certainly Sarah Ferguson has demonstrated over and over again a remarkable lack of financial caution and the ability to work "influence" to get funds. That will all dry up. I guess it will be back to Weight Watchers or such.

Piers has been giving him a really hard time on Good Morning Britain this week it was very, very bad but deservedly so. I can’t see Prince Andrew losing his HRH status unless things get criminally bad for him. I just wonder if there are any videos or photos of anything he may have done.

If that changes, it will be because Prince Charles takes him out of the line of Royal Succession. As he might do with Prince Harry

The photo with his arm around one of the victims (17year old) is worrisome to me.

this is soooo very true. I had my first son within a year of marriage. Let’s just say, it didn’t turn out well. Add to that all the other stress they face.

But FGS let us see Archie!!!

Prince Andrew was beyond pathetic in trying to explain why the photo as faked: He has fat fingers, he never dresses like that in London, he's never been in that house, something else about sweating. It was degrading and unconvincing.

he has a condition and doesn’t sweat :p;)

There are a lot of other reasons why I this marriage as a train wreck. There is a huge difference in culture, not just "British/American", but with the added issue of socioeconomic status, growing up in the royal family, is a completely separate culture, from growing up with a single Mom in Los Angeles.

Completely different expectations. I didn't see Meghan in England too much before their marriage. I think that a longer engagement, with her actually spending time together in England for 2 or 3 years before marriage, would have been a better plan. But, people "in love" don't see the reality of real life.

I had my first child one year after we married. We have only been married for 46 years.

We were very different but I guess it worked.

Meghan went to school with the very wealthy and went to Northwestern by Chicago. It is a very prestigious school.

She was into causes even as a young child. And Harry is, too. They seem to try to be living a meaningful life.

A senior British lawyer, Baroness Helena Kennedy QC, a prominent human and civil rights lawyer, warned today that PA could be arrested and trapped in the US if he travels to the US to speak to the FBI. She said she would advise him to meet agents in London instead.

PA signalled he would speak to FBI detectives investigating JE as he readied himself for a subpoena from US lawyers demanding he gives evidence under oath. A diplomatic row could be brewing if he refuses to fly to the US to meet the FBI, with agents able to request an interview in London - but only if he agrees to it.

US prosecutors view him as a key witness who could help them catch JE’s co-conspirators – not as a suspect.

The Mirror claims he may have been filmed on secret cameras installed by JE as an “insurance policy” against his rich and powerful friends and the footage could be in the hands of the authorities.

Harry and Megan would be jumping with glee that Andrew has taken the limelight.

I can hear their sighs of relief from Australia.
