MOO, but I don't think MM cares too much about what the queen thinks.

That seems to be the case. Assume their relationship has cooled. I also noticed that MM is now walking in front of Harry in public. Not behind or at his side. Very Hollywood, like walking the red carpet.

Ugh. Maybe others had easier pregnancies. For me, the babies doing gymnastics. The sitting up while sleeping because of heartburn.

Meghan has to appear cheerful even though she may feel awful. Certain smells such as bacon made me sick.

Meghan appears to like natural fabrics which feel so much better than synthetics. Maybe someday the natural look will be accepted . I am thinking it will

I also prefer natural fabrics over most synthetics, and have since I was a child. Living in Texas now, it's so hot and synthetics do not have the cool comfort of natural fabrics ( wool being the exception as far as the properties which are cooler, because it's, well, obviously a winter fabric ).

When I need to look very polished and professional, or dressed for an evening occasion, I prefer dresses, separates or suits in various weaves of either silk, linen, cotton, or Tencel ( I consider it to be a natural " hybrid" of sorts.

Also, it's now fairly difficult to find great pret-a-porter items that aren't either synthetic or blends or lined in synthetic fabric, which totally defeats the purpose of buying natural fabrics for the natural coolness.

OK, I have a few questions for those of you who know more about fashion protocol in the RF than I do: Could someone explain HOW the Queen is supposed to " approve" her granddaughters' in law new atelier clothing?

As much atelier wear as we read about them wearing and likely that much which we don't read about in the press which they buy per month, Kate's recycled lovely reworn items not counted, how exactly does a 93 year old Monarch have time, patience, and interest and so forth to approve or disapprove of all of it as well?
I can't imagine her interest in fairly conservatively styled daywear, evening wear, travel-friendly ensembles, etc.

Let's say one has commissioned an atelier fashion from the designer's sketches ( they possibly or probably have multiple items being made in the workroom at a time) which costs 50,000 or 75,000 pounds.
Atelier wear cannot, by description be cancelled or vastly modified. The designers of the fashion houses of Alexander McQueen, Oscar de la Renta, Givenchy, and some British designers as well as other couture fashion houses, are totally used to dressing the world's most famous and wealthiest women, including the MANY ladies in the Royal Houses of the Nordic countries.

If the Queen has to approve what the two ladies wear, do they take the sketches and fabric swatches to her, or do they pay for their 50,000 p. dress ( sorry I do not know how to make the mark for pounds sterling) and stick it in the closet if the Queen doesn't approve, or take it in for slight modifications if time allows, or what? The fabric, of course, can't be changed... If it's neon orange like a safety vest, then one is going to an event looking like a traffic cone. ( I hate orange and neons as the major colors,so that's what came to mind. No reflection, ha, on what anyone has ever worn).

The Queen doesn't make decisions about what her children and grandchildren wear while on official duty. She is the Queen of Britain and it's commonwealth, she has more important things to do. She doesn't micromanage, there are staff that takes care of multiple things.
They have a dress code, similar to the rest of us having a dress code for work.
You don't want 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 hanging out of dresses while you reach down to shakes the hands of children. You don't want your butt crack or nipple showing in your outfit.
No jeans to a funeral or state event. Things like that. No different than a commoner.

The tailoring on the bodice of this dress is perfection, but it seems a bit long to me.

I love this on her and, over the past several months, Kate looks the best she ever has.

Yes I see she’s treading on the hem and yes Kate is looking Queen material IMO.

Kate is looking fabulous lately, she does evening-wear beautifully. I think she's had to up her game and modernise a little to keep up with Meghan - a good thing as she was dressing a bit old for her years sometimes, and I reckon she's loving it!

I really like Kate's tweed outfit. Takes years off her.

I think baby Sussex is a boy. Meghan's carrying all to the front.

I agree it is nice I didn’t realise it was Chanel. It’s a lot better than the aging Alexander McQueen coat dresses that we have seen again and again and again.

So pretty! Really flattering on her body without being vulgar. I love the detail of the ruby velvet sash and clutch too. I think the shoe looks a bit heavy but I understand she has some restrictions in that regard.

I too think Meghan's style is rubbing off on Catherine a little, in the sense that Catherine is dressing a little more her age and taking a bit more risks with her looks (the green dress last week is a good example.)

All for the better! She doesn't need to look stodgy!

Glad I'm not the only one who thought I saw the possibility of a "trip". Lovely gown, shoes, sash with matching clutch :)

In an earlier post, someone suggested that Meghan was carrying "high" - therefore, a boy. I sported a hardball, softball, basketball - all prominently to the front... and delivered a daughter (1973).

I really do respect her recycling her clothes and I’m loving that she feels she is no better than us. Isn’t that what the royals are about? Charity and being charitable.

I think most of their clothes are given to them and it’s a windfall if they’re seen in a company’s garment or accessories.
Meaghan held an Australian Oroton bag and it saved the company from closing.

Royal bride-to-be Meghan Markle has given Australian fashion a shot in the arm by wearing not one, but two, Australian labels to an event overnight.
While her Camilla and Marc two-button blazer was a chic choice, it's her Oroton crossbody bag that has tongues in fashion circles wagging – in a good way.

For those not in the know, Oroton went into administration last year, with the brand falling victim to increased competition from overseas brands such as Michael Kors and Coach.
