I don’t know what the legal situation is with the Royals and insurance. They will not want to be sued and there to be a legal case. However a note could be sent saying: “It is unfortunate that the incident on 17th of January 2019 occurred. The Duke of Edinburgh sends his best wishes. Sincerely, Secretary to The Duke of Edinburgh.” That is good manners and does not admit liability.

With a big check. Seriously, this is 2019, even "royal" folk can't go around causing car crashes. No matter what UK law is...the Royals better get a handle on this issue, because England has and is changing rapidly, few of the immigrants have any deep affection for royalty.

What's this? I'm assuming this comes from someone's PR team at KP?

Meghan 'had fake social media account' but shut it down at Christmas after seeing vile comments | Daily Mail Online

If true, perhaps Meghan needs to give up social media, Twitter, Instagram, etc. It's not very fitting for a member of the royal family. Ok for your PR team to release info about public appearances, big announcements, etc., but seems an inappropriate hobby for a nearly 40 year old woman who has a full calendar and is expecting her first child. Maybe she should read a book, take up a new hobby, take a class, learn new things.

ETA: The comparisons to Princess Di's struggles are not apt, JMO. Diana struggled in her new role in part because she was an inexperienced 19 year old girl pushed into a massive PR event that never really went away. She learned to cope with it as she aged. Meghan came into her marriage as a nearly 40 yo woman who grew up in the entertainment industry in Hollywood. She's had a lot of life experience in knowing what to expect.

I don’t believe any of this. It’s ridiculous. I think it comes out of the heads (to be polite) of Daily Fail reporters.

Let’s start predicting headlines after the baby arrives:

“Baby’s multiple deformities are being hidden from the Queen, insiders say.”

“Meghan’s post-partum depression has Harry fearing for baby’s life and ready to commit her to the mental hospital.”

“Meghan has joyous reunion with her father and half sister but is on the outs with her mother.”

“Meghan fires three nannies in two months. No one is ‘good enough’ for her baby.”

“Meghan spends all her time with her baby as her marriage to Harry crumbles.”

And on and on and on...ad nauseum.

He now has a new car, back to driving around and no seat belt on. Let's hope he doesn't kill some poor soul next time.

The entitlement mentality is epic.

OK I was going to let this go, (Phillip driving) but it appears that even in retirement(cough, cough) he is the one in control and not the queen. Come on people tell the old man his driving days are over, he will have to let someone else drive or you stay home, it’s that simple. Really.

Take the keys away and call it a day. Done.

For many, if not most people, this accident would be a wake-up call that a 97-year-old should not be driving. The more I think about someone having been killed due to Philip's insistence on driving at his age, the angrier I get  Stubborn old gentleman should not be behind the wheel ever again!

IMO the name Prince Phillip and gentleman should never be in the same sentence. He's got a long history of being an ignorant bully.

Just more of the same from him. Doesn't care about anyone but himself, never has. This is not his first rodeo, he's injured people before and will continue to do so.

Prince Philip's 'car crash parts' being sold to highest bidder on eBay

Pieces of plastic allegedly salvaged from Prince Philip's car crash are being sold on eBay, it has emerged.

Starting at just 99p, the fragments apparently from the Duke of Edinburgh's Land Rover are rapidly attracting bidders.

Lol. Love it

My views are not going to be popular. I love Meghan in black. That is her color.

I don’t understand why Meghan’s clothes are wrinkled. A coat could be put in at the last minute. Why the wrinkles?

And get rid of the heels. Be an example to women that their health is more important than one absurd fashion.

Ripped jeans are absurd. Especially the ludicrous price tag.

I think Kate dresses way too matronly. She is in her 30’s, not 60’s. But her skinny jeans were like tights, not jeans. Too skinny.

Their Christmas family photo is cute.

Prince Philip WAS dazzled by the sun: New photographs show difficult driving conditions at junction where Duke of Edinburgh had his crash

New photographs have emerged showing the difficult driving conditions where Prince Philip had his crash - just days after he claimed he was 'dazzled by the sun'.

The startling images show the afternoon sun bursting through trees next to the A149 in Norfolk, where on Thursday the Duke of Edinburgh was involved in a crash with a car containing two women and a baby.

The accident happened as Philip pulled out of a side road on to the 60mph limit road. His Land Rover collided with a Kia car, sending his vehicle tumbling across the road where it ended up on its side.

^^^ the photos of the crash scene show it to be overcast. hmmmm

Glare does affect driving, that being said, even someone 75 years old has better reflexes to respond to changing conditions than a 97 year old.

That is the problem with assessment for driving, going around a block, good to go, does not adequately assess reaction time to changing conditions. That requires clinical evaluation.
