I hate it

It’s now sold out due to the “Duchess effect”. Very sadly Oscar De La Renta outfits haven’t been as good since he died and continued as a brand under a new designers.

I would think a stylist would present options and the an option is selected. What do I know??

In my post #539 I describe how Vanna White selects her outfits for Wheel of Fortune. I've been a fan of the game show since it premiered 36 years ago and have liked most of the fashions that Vanna wears. I like the fact that she chooses to wear lesser known designers' clothing instead of big names, and she doesn't wear jewelry that might interfere with the overall focus on the outfit.

I believe she’s also said that she wears her own shoes.

This would make sense, we know what it's like breaking in new high heel shoes. Could you imagine her having to break in new heels 3-4 times a week. Band-aids, bunions, back pain, knee problems.

The row that drove the Queen to sleep in the servants' quarters: Fiery argument between two of her dressers saw Her Majesty flee downstairs in just her nightie to kip on the sofa

This story made me smile. It is great to read the private stories involving Her Majesty The Queen. She is one of the most famous women in the world and yet we don’t know a great deal about her as a person. It would be fascinating to learn more from an interview about her role and feelings on history and people she has met. But sadly it will never happen.

I don’t and I’m grateful for the fact. It must be a nightmare. I really don’t know how they can be worn without being in agony or falling over.

I don't recall that from the long-ago article, but thanks for this information. Vanna's shoes are always very simple and complement the outfit she's wearing. She does a lot of "walking" on each show and certainly needs to have comfortable footwear. I like most of Vanna's "costume" choices because they suit her perfectly :)

Writing on a *banana* a note for a sex worker?

Whaaaaaa?

That is something I would think would be in the Onion as a parody, it just seems so wrong!

Yeah um wondered about that....

Me too. But I didn't want to be the one that said it.

Ha!

What can I say, it goes along with the theme of the thread lately about the emperor has new clothes!

""The Emperor's New Clothes" (Danish: Kejserens nye klæder) is a short tale written by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen, about two weavers who promise an emperor a new suit of clothes that they say is invisible to those who are unfit for their positions, stupid, or incompetent – while in reality, they make noclothes at all, making everyone believe the clothes are invisible to them. When the emperor parades before his subjects in his new "clothes", no one dares to say that they do not see any suit of clothes on him for fear that they will be seen as stupid. Finally a child cries out, "But he isn't wearing anything at all!" ..."

Beyond any type of reasonable discussion.

Pen in hand, Meghan picked up a banana from each meal bag and started carefully writing messages of support: "You are strong." "You are amazing." "You are loved," She signed each with a small heart.

A volunteer and former sex worker at the organization who asked to remain anonymous told reporters of the gesture, "It sounds really cheesy, but little things like that when you are out—especially tonight, we can see the cold weather—just to get that little thing … Meghan took her time out to write that one. It’s lush."

The Duchess of Sussex and Prince Harry secretly visited the charity during an extremely snowy day of engagements in Bristol on Friday, requesting that Kensington Palace keep details of the visit embargoed until long after they left due to the sensitivity surrounding the issues addressed at One25.

Ever fancied working for her Majesty? Well, now could be your chance, as the Queen has advertised for a new travelling butler to join her at the Palace.

The candidate would need to pass an exam in "butlering" - and important step if you want a career as a butler long-term.

The salary for the job is £19,935.80-a-year plus benefits, so it's not a high-paying role.

A straight-speaking teenage boy left Meghan Markle and Prince Harry at a loss for words during their visit to Bristol Old Vic yesterday.

While touring the historic theatre the royal couple stopped to chat with youngsters about their experiences and being on the stage.

One young lad surprised them when he blurted out 'You can't just be f***ing around on stage' while chatting about acting.
