IMO nobody set up her Dad to look bad. He has done an excellent job of doing so all on his own. I think he and Samantha are a coupla nutbars. I'm glad Meghan has Doria who appears to me to be quite "normal" and lovely.
What I wonder about regarding the letter and any legal issue would it be because her Father was likely paid when it went public???
Once sent to him, it's his property, and he can sell it? He could also burn it, throw it away, send it back, line the parakeet cage with it.What I wonder about regarding the letter and any legal issue would it be because her Father was likely paid when it went public???
Besides needing a personal stylist (clothing, hair, makeup), Meghan needs better public relations people. The interview with the friends that led to Daddy Markle releasing personal correspondence between him and his daughter was a major communications fiasco. Competent public relations people know that every action has consequences. Whoever promoted the friends' interview didn't wisely anticipate Mr. Markle's strong reaction.![]()
What does plumped mean when used in this context?View attachment 168823 View attachment 168824
The mother-to-be plumped for a cream roll-neck dress by Calvin Klein and a £895 coat by royal favourite Amanda Wakeley. She teamed finished the look with a pair of suede olive pumps and a matching clutch.

It’s an extremely unflattering look, especially in the second picture. I’m embarrassed for her.Why do you say that?
Excellent post! This whole "anonymous friends" situation reminded me of Princess Diana doing the same thing. First with newspapers, then with a book. We know her involvement because she said so herself (see the Diana biography with her recorded interviews) When she wanted to start controlling the press and determining when they could get info and when they should leave her alone, it backfired badly and we all know the games with the press ended in a tragic death.
I hope Meghan and her friends accept that good and bad press comes with the territory and she saves her energy for her baby and marriage. If she pays attention to what the press and public thinks of her she will never be a happy and content woman.
Both Meghan and Princess Diana came from unhappy homes where there were disputes between siblings (she spoke of that as well). Both women have/had a desperate need to be/feel loved, accepted, and well liked. When you seek this from the public, you will never be at peace. Even in death Princess Diana has no privacy, but people still love her despite the fact that she may never have felt fully loved.
Someone posted that Charles never loved Diana. This is false (according to Diana's own words). Again, Diana spoke of times when their relationship with fulfilling and times when they were at their happiest.
When people come from broken families and they marry others, if their emotional wounds aren't dealt with, they will seek acceptance and love in unhealthy ways. It doesn't mean they are horrible persons, it means they were never shown or taught how to communicate in a healthy manner within family dynamics, and how to love themselves first and not seek self-fulfillment from others.

That and the dress bunching around her bust, belly, and “below”. It also appears to be thin enough fabric to be see-through.If you're referring to the outline of her navel, I agree![]()
I didn't look closely, but now I see what you mean. This photo below is so awkward it looks like a fake baby bump that's slipping. I was actually happy to see her in cream color and a nice upswept hair style. I think the problem is the slinky material; looked good in the dressing room but doesn't do well with bright flashbulbs. It’s an extremely unflattering look, especially in the second picture. The Duchess of Sussex was the picture of elegance in a Calvin Klein dress as she joined Prince Harry at the Natural History Museum on Tuesday night.
Meghan, 37, and Harry, 34, who are expecting their first child together in April, are attending a gala performance of The Wider Earth, a play about a young Charles Darwin's expedition on HMS Beagle.

The real issue, JMO there is a bit of a coverup, is that MM sent the letter without palace approval. And yeah, that's how it is when you marry a Prince, she needs permission to send even private correspondence. I imagine the Queen is displeased.
*
Question: The children of William & Kate are all Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis (so gorgeous, all of them). But I think even though William is future king presumptive, the Queen had to give permission for the children's titles. I am more sure that Harry & Megan need the Queen's approval if their baby is to be a Prince or Princess.
Will the Queen put her foot down and deny this title? Or will she attempt to be a peacemaker and keep them on some equal footing?
Ahhhh, the palace intrigues.![]()

I've mentioned the moveable baby bump previously. I don't know what to make of it![]()
