Wow. Never thought of that. It makes perfect sense. People will buy it.

I wonder what kind of advance he got?

I can see why he is divorced.

Really, Meghan’s “family” is a caricature. They would make an excellent comedy family on British televsion. I wonded if someone will do a spoof show on them.

This may be exactly one of the reasons why (up until recent memory), that the Royal's weren't "allowed" to marry Commoners.

Although a "Commoner ", I think Kate has done a wonderful job fulfilling her role...

LOL I missed the socks/hose thingy. Did the slouch socks tho. What the he77 was I thinking??? Platforms were as high as I could find. I would kill myself in them today LOL Hot pants and gauchos with boots were a go to. Sadly lol

BBM OMG I forgot about gauchos! I wore navy blue suede hot pants to my high school graduation. With a Mickey Mouse t-shirt. LOL.

RSBM I agree to a point, but the royals have enough loonies in their own families to compete with anything the Markles can throw down.

IMO The difference these days is the instantaneousness of global news, and journalists don't give the same discretion of privacy as they did decades ago.

That is an understatement. Read about Prince Philip’s mother. Wow

I was too, followed the Grateful Dead for a summer with my friend. Crazy. And now, I have tinnitus. Sigh. Good times.

I never saved any of the shirts from concerts, and saw some on Ebay for bucko bucks. Dang! Who would have thought a "Cheap Trick" or "Styx" shirt would be worth money?

O/T BBM You're not alone Mickey. I blame mine on a combo of garage bands, rock concerts, and race cars.

I am going with an April Fools day baby, girl, 7 pounds.

I'm sticking with March 19th. And in honor of my dear friend whose birthday that is, the baby will be over 8 pounds and will be long and lanky. I'm hoping for a girl cousin for Charlotte :)

Unlike the royals, Kate might actually be descended from Henry VIII!

I haven't been seeking out pictures of Meghan, and I haven't been checking this thread for ages, but I'm thinking she looks good for about 6 weeks until birth?

I'd like it be a girl too, she could be a real stunner with the best features from each of them. I can't remember what dates I said now but I think I covered most of them haha

March 31st is Mothers Day in the UK this year, so that would be nice. (probably just added a new one there...)

Six weeks - late March/early April - sounds about right. My DOB window is wide open: March 15 - April 15.

Saw Cheap Trick in the '80's -- wait for it -- twice.

Saw Styx at a casino last summer, with a bunch of other oldsters. Well, Hubster saw Styx, I was there to see Joan Jett.

More on topic, I remember the morning my Mom called and told me that I was working in the wrong "obscure kindergarten."

My Mom knew that if Prince Charles had walked into my school, things would be different & ya'll would be writing about me in this thread!

Bets on the child’s hair color? Anyone know if the red hair gene tends to break through more than others? I know very little about these things.

  • #958
Gosh hair color......that's a tough one. I took some genetics way back when but not enough to answer. Only thing I can remember is that red is a recessive gene. I think???

March 31 would be exactly 6 weeks from today - Amonet's suggestion of birthdate.
