So sorry to hear greg. Do u think it's time for IV antibiotic? I'm sure you were in Hospital but perhaps that's the route go? Be well my friend and keep us posted.

Thank you for your kindness and good wishes. I have just seen the Dr and have been put on my fourth antibiotic. They are waiting for test results and I find out tomorrow morning if I am being re-admitted to hospital for IV antibiotics again. My Drs are concerned because they are running out of options. I have cauda equina syndrome from botched spinal surgery in 2006. I have a urostomy to empty my bladder. I’ve had infections before but this is the worst yet. I also find out on Tuesday if I need more spinal surgery so I’m worried sick and it is wearing me down but I will get through it. Apologies for all the medical information.

Thank you to everyone here for your kindness it really is very much appreciated.

Violent protests have taken place in Morocco - just days before pregnant Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are due to arrive in the country.

Police fired water cannons at campaigners, many of them teachers, and beat people with truncheons as they marched towards a royal palace in the capital Rabat.

Several were clubbed to the ground by officers during the protest, held yesterday exactly eight years after the birth of a Moroccan Arab Spring movement that awakened a spirit of activism in the North African kingdom.

This trip is a bad idea.

I knew this was going to happen. Sigh. Please stay home and stay safe, Harry and Meghan.

One of the guests at Meghan Markle's $300,000 baby shower is opening up about her afternoon with the Duchess of Sussex.

Gayle King said on CBS This Morning that she and other guests were taught how to arrange flowers at the party, and that Markle then donated those arrangements to various charities.

She also said that she could not reveal the gift that she purchased for Markle because the guest of honor did not open any of her presents, choosing instead to wait until she got back to London and was with Prince Harry.

Meghan Markle and guests made floral arrangements that were donated to charity at baby shower | Daily Mail Online

Just an observation here: If Catherine had been from Canada or the US, was showered to the max with luxurious meals, accomodations, protection officers and US security, etc. for 4 days, how would she be viewed for not even opening the baby gifts at the shower where she could show her appreciation and delight in her first baby with her best friends?

She would have been raked over the coals of etiquette, that's what. It's really beyond the pale that so much was spent on Meghan, for Meghan, and for Meghan's unborn baby, and Meghan bagged it all up, sight unseen, and trotted back to England with her opulent goods.

I realize the items are likely extremely ostentatious by and large, as was the event in total, but hiding her friends' gifts unopened in bags, boxes, suitcases, etc. doesn't make them less pricey nor likely any less impractical. She's not embarrassed to be ostentatious about status, celebrity names and wealth, she just doesn't want the public to actually see photographs of her at the events luxuriating in the excesses for Baby Sussex. As IF Harry cares about a crib that's a miniature Cinderella coach. LOL.

Oh, and it's quite common, not charitable, to give cut flowers to someone nearby, as they were likely already starting to wilt, aren't always pretty 24 hours later if they donated the ones used in the "floral arranging class", and the alternative is to pay someone to clean up the mess they make. Too bad her mother lives too far away to even get a second hand rose.

Since this thread is getting to be anything but light-hearted and entertaining, I thought I’d revive an old thread that’s nothing but, that some of you might be interested in. It’s all fun. No non-fun observations allowed! It’s expanded to differences in phrases not just between Americans and Brits, but also Aussies, Scots, and Irish.

Dead Giveaways You're a Brit

For those who feel this thread is too critical towards Meghan Markle or any other Royal family member, add some things that are Royal family related that you find positive. Personally, I think there is a mixture on this thread and a variety of Royal related articles and topics.
Sometimes it's alright to scroll past posts that upset you or bring you down. Even some of the lovely posts about Diana make me feel a bit sad and so I scroll past them. I remember when she died, it was a very sad time for a lot of women in Canada. Many tears were shed at her passing.

Now that there is a Royal baby on the way that isn't Kate's :) , it's big news. For royal fans, It's also a good time to look back at some of the baby and childhood pictures of other members of the Royal family. Hard to resist smiling when looking at pictures from the past.
Enjoy!

I find this thread very lighthearted and entertaining compared to the crimes! I may not post often but do check in to read.

Also everyone should be able to post their feelings and opinions. We all have our likes and dislikes.

I thought this was sweet.

Why did Beyonce and Jay-Z pose with Meghan Markle?

Brit Awards 2019: Beyonce and Jay-Z 'bow down' to Meghan Markle

The Guardian newspaper's deputy music editor Laura Snapes said their decision to accept the award in front of a portrait of Meghan was a "wow" moment.

"Very classy, pointed support of a black woman being treated repulsively by the UK tabloids," she wrote on Twitter.

Greg, I'm so sorry you are dealing with this. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Hopefully your Dr's can get to the bottom of this!

Sorry you are sick Greg, I am so wary of back surgery, it seems to either go good or really bad.

It seems to have worked to a degree? How do Brits feel at this point about her? I know Americans idolize Diana and it seems we can’t forgive Camilla. I think we’ve softened a bit toward Charles over the years simply because he seems to have been a good father to the boys.

Prince Charles is going to have to accept that the British public is not, and never will be, ready for Queen Camilla
Queen Camilla, in truth, might not bring the monarchy down (the final revenge of Diana) but she would make it that much less consensual, and that’s not a good thing. So Charles needs to watch his step rather more than he did in the first seven decades of his life; but they say old habits die hard…
I think the short answer, if I were one of the future king’s ministers or one of those royal flunkies who makes sure that everyone else stands up whenever one of them walks into a room (absurdly), is that I’d skip the Her Majesty Queen Camilla bit as a risk not really worth taking, all things considered.
