I don't think the royal family give a child the same first name as a living relative, so that probably rules Charles & Philip out.

I think he'll be Alexander. Or Arthur.

It used to be common for royal babies to be given the name of a relative. The Queen has the same name as her mother. Queen Victoria had a Vicky and an Albert. Many male monarchs have had sons and grandsons named after them.

Finally an appropriate comment from TM..maybe there is still hope....

Babies have a way of bringing families together.
I think this statement was a little hint that perhaps a slow reconciliation will happen on their own terms out of the public eye.

I understand the baby boy’s surname will be Mountbatten-Windsor. He will inherit the title of the Duke of Sussex.
Spencer in the mix would be nice!
As far as what 'Surname' I think it's Sussex from what I've read, Wills & Harry both were officially 'Wales' when in the military, Prince George is 'Cambridge' & Charles was 'Edinburgh' at school - I think?

Princess Margaret's son is David. That was the name King Edward VIII was called by family.

Eta George VI, the Queen's father was Bertie.

Interesting. The baby, like some others in the royal family, won't officially become HRH until Charles becomes King. I keep forgetting the line of succession for HRH is limited to a certain number of generations.

So, it will happen eventually.

Royal baby: Why Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's baby ISN'T actually royal | Daily Mail Online

Can anyone explain what happens when William becomes King? If you were an HRH under Charles, does that mean you remain an HRH under William, even if you're not one of William's descendants? I assume it does.

William will make a great king. Charles, I'm not so sure about. I like the guy, he's mellowed with age and seems to be more caring as a person, but he just doesn't seem to have the personal qualities and leadership abilities needed to be king.

I hope...

We all make mistakes, yes some worse than others.

Life is about forgiving, it brings peace to all...

If we don't forgive , who do we have left in our lives....it would be a very lonely place, indeed....

ABC news sounded like she had it at Frogmore.
Said they had 9 hours of private time before they announced the birth to the world.

At that rate, it could have been born in the US. LOL

You can go a long way in 9 hours. LOL

They're all back at Frogmore then, may never have left. ;)

The Royal Baby Has Arrived
This morning, at 5:26 am London time, Meghan gave birth to a boy. He is now seventh in line to throne of the United Kingdom.

In a statement to the press (delivered casually in front of a bunch of horses, a perfectly upper-crust touch), Prince Harry looked amazed, delighted, and a little stunned, a combination that will likely be familiar to other parents.
