It’s true we are a baby country, but I have to disagree about beautiful buildings.

The architecture of our oldest cities, we settled in America in the image of the only way we knew how, and it is magnificent.

Up and down the east coast of the USA you’ll find our connection to the Uk and a splash of Italy through architecture.

What I found in my travels abroad was the history through the ancient, hand made dwellings, out in the countryside.

You see that here in the Native American dwellings, too.

Human, it’s so interesting... of all the places, I know why London is magical... tree lined streets, Big Ben, a river running through it, pubs, men in kilts, (you never know) and the royals!

Plus, a really fun crowd.

You have some beautiful architecture in America.

Ok ok. I'm ready for new pics of Archie.

We won’t get any till his christening unfortunately which is probably at least six weeks away.

To be fair Phillip was 'His Serene Highness Prince Louis of Battenberghen' until he abandoned his Greek and Danish royal titles to become a naturalised British subject prior to marriage.

He's a direct descendant of Russia's Tsar Nicholas I via his paternal grandmother Grand Duchess Olga Constantinovna of Russia. He is related to the House of Romanov through both his father and his mother.

*Fun Fact:
It was through his DNA scientists in 1993 were able to confirm the identity of the final remains of the family of the last Emperor of Russia (Nicholas II)

Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh - Wikipedia

That's all true Keine Engel, but as mentioned, Prince Phillip is the one that married INTO the official House of Windsor, not the House of Mountbatten. He entered into the marriage as a princeless prince no longer having his royal birth title and no country (Greece said buh-bye).

Regardless, it is beautiful to see that their marriage has lasted this long, since 1947 (?). And not too many couples get to be together in their 90s, good health, of sound mind.

Some really lovely photos of Royal mums around the world.

Women of royal families around the globe are often seen out and about waving from balconies or dressed to the nines in their tiaras, sashes and ballgowns.
But behind-the-scenes, many of the women are simply mum to their kids, as they navigate bring up the next generation of Royals to enjoy a "normal" life, despite being in the spotlight.
From The Queen of England to the new Empress of Japan - a look at all the Royal mums

They do have private estates to live on. Acres and acres of land, properties galore. No problem with housing for the RF.

Ha ha. I meant what would happen to all of the castles

Meghan's Instagram plug for friend's £3,600 retreat: Royal site comes under fire for promoting luxury wellness breaks to 7.6m followers in mental health campaign

Meghan's Instagram plug for friend’s £3,600 retreat in mental health campaign | Daily Mail Online

—Not sure of the motivation here, but I find plugging superficial wellness and exorbitant lifestyle marketing in the name of wellness, or mental health to be shameful and clueless.

Let’s go to India and look at yoga as an ancient practice, or Asia or San Francisco and look at the practice of tai chi. Let’s look at the groundbreaking alcoholics anonymous all over the world... two guys just wanting to help each other out in the 1920’s.

All of these are available and for free.

The marketing of the spiritual for money becomes snake oil. -Imo.

Meditation becomes prayer. We all need it, right? Don’t forget your peach crystal for protection...

IDK... some things are sacred like the lifetime of learning and education and faith. And what is mental health? A passing trauma? War zone PTSD? Gripping addiction? Loss of life? A lifetime of schizophrenia like a beloved school mate? Children parenting parents? Alzheimer’s?

Perfectionism? Men and women? The list goes on and on.

On what planet does some meditation retreat selling cheap crystals in the Caribbean for the uber wealthy serve this cause?

Ok, I know this is a long rant but when Harry opened up about his personal loss and how it affected him I could relate.

But foist some pseudo lifestyle elevation path for marketing social media “likes” is not promoting the reality.

I adore William and Harry. What they were born into and endured was something almost no one can know, yet the whole world shared.

They bring a very special and unique knowledge as to how circumstances can change one forever. And, it’s something that everyone can relate to in their own personal history and circumstances.

This is where the power is... imo.

Yes, London is magical. The whole country is one big historical site. But the RF, as they now exist, are not needed for tourism. The history is why people come, to see the palaces etc but that is separate from the RF.

People are there to visit relatives, have a vaycay, see the historical sites and art work, museums and on their way to other European countries.

The Queen is magical, its all a 'show biz' thing these days. Like going to the theatre.

I agree, London and the Queen are magical.

One thing I admire about Queen Elizabeth is the fact that she holds back. She’s lived long enough to see the ebbs and flows.

Many were up in arms at her immediate silence after Diana’s tragic death, and then she came out with the most meaningful message of love.

That made me break down even more.

The image of QE in her plain clothes coming out to say hi to the mourners and look at the gifts was the image of the kind of Queen I’d like to have in New Jersey, USA...

It’s probably my generation, but manalololo blanikics would send me running in my Keds!

I feel sorry for this gen who think ‘cool’ is which ‘six inch heels’...

Give me QE, Anne, Camilla in their Wellies any day.

And Margaret in her tiara!

I think that the generation of "royal fans", is getting older. The royal family would do well to start living more "common". The days of lavish royalty has changed.

"Muhammad" is one of the top 10 baby boy names in England right now, which is an indication that the demographics have changed, with fewer citizens having an emotional connection to British royals.

Harry and Meghan named their son Archie 'after commanding officer who saved prince's army career' | Daily Mail Online

And so DM and media now say that Master Archie is named in honor of Prince Harry’s commander Major Tom Archer-Burton. The Major help convince the “top brass” that Lieutenant Wales should be allowed to serve with his men. According to “inner circles this is a nod” to Major Tom Archer-Burton. The two men along with Prince William are very good friends.

IMO this’s the best and nicest story yet.

So far, they named him Archie because

-they stole Prince George's nickname or perhaps codename
-MM collected Archie comic books
-because of a boy they met in Australia
-because of MM's cat that she poisoned with frozen grapes
-because of a military officer whose name is not Archie and who was not invited to the wedding or reception

Is that about it?

FEET?!

And Mothering Day in England is in March, so why a tribute to Princess Diana for US Mother's Day on an account called sussexroyals? Doria forgotten entirely...

They really should fire their PR person. I fear they have hired Edina Monsoon of Ab Fab.

Thank you!
I'm surprised she didn't lose him in the flowerbed!! :D

Oh my goodness that was hideous! So much worse than I imagined. Wow.

I don’t know if it was done because the Duchess is American. Doria should not have been forgotten. The PR person has made some blunders this week that’s for sure not sending the announcements to the press, running in front of the couple at the photocall to get out of shot and now this.
