My husband wants to know why the Brits/UK put up with this spending of their tax money

They might not if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex keep acting like they have just won the lottery. I think a lot is forgiven because most people are fond of Her Majesty once she passes I see turbulent times ahead for the monarchy.

Must be nice to be rich. Meghan sure hit the jackpot.

What is wrong with staying home??? A 3 month old at the beach , does not sound like fun for the baby.

Maybe they're working on Baby #2 already......

That's a very grim face on The Queen. But she is impecably dressed. Gorgeous hat.

I wonder if everyone in last Sunday's photo (with Andrew) was laughing because they'd had a tipple or two before church...

At first I saw only her and thought it looked a bit lonely. Glad to see Charles & Camilla attending as well. It would do some of the others good to be paying attention to the church and it's teachings.

Also nice to see the ever-modest Wessex's with her. I like Sophie and Edward more and more. (Although I don't see Sophie and Ibiza-Markle hitting it off as BFF's as the Queen would like. Sophie isn't A-list enough for Markle, IMHO)

"Acting like they have just won the lottery" Indeed. What a good description

Harry never seemed to be the fast-spending type. He was generously provided for in Dianna's will, but even that will run out at this rate. You can't tell me that he is paying for the private planes, the luxury villas.

He didn't pay for the lavish wedding, the "eco-remodel" of Frogmore, and numerous other benefits.

This just doesn't seem much like Harry's doing.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's stay at 'billionaire's playground' resort in Ibiza: The royal couple stayed at Vista Alegre retreat where super-villas cost up to £120,000 a week during holiday for her 38th birthday

I wonder if Prince Charles is paying for all this. The Duke’s inheritance from Princess Diana is going to be long gone at this rate.

Clothing Meghan Markle is 'banned' from wearing as the Queen 'hates them'

I wonder if this is actually true? If so, the "Queen" is beyond entitled, when she can "command" what other people wear in her presence. Anyone who would want to marry into that family seriously needs to re-think.
Meghan doesn’t like blood sport ? This is going to impact their future stays since Harry does from what I gather ? I understand her apparent desire to lead a different family royal life (as Princess Diana did) more normal and somewhat private but there are traditions to be respected IMO

However there's one member of the family who will probably be very pleased by the news - Meghan.

The Duchess is believed to be strongly against bloodsports and reportedly wasn't happy about her husband taking part in the family's annual Boxing Day shoot at Sandringham

Don't you just love this photo of the Windsor family at Balmoral?

(Princess Anne looks quite gorgeous with her long flowing hair and in yellow!)

I assume the Queen paid for the lavish "look at ME" wedding of Markle and some guy.

The Queen paid for the $300,000 remodel of Frogmore.

Between The Queen and Prince Charles, the Sussex's are burning through other people's money.

I would honor Her Majesty's wishes about clothing with the respect due her title. I'll bet there isn't going to be any spandex seen out and about their, either.

Markle needs to understand The Firm she has married into. Even though she is acting like a billionaire celebrity with the private jets and secluded Ibiza boltholes, she is not in a Hollywood celebrity family.

"Always be the best dressed in the crowd" is not a bad maxim to have.

But where are they staying NOW in Nice, France?

Another billionaire bolthole?

I have to think Prince Charles and Camilla will have a word with Harry when the Sussex's return.

And maybe he'd better have some strong words with Prince Andrew about staying in the UK and honoring his titles and military status, rather than running off to a billionaire bolthole in Spain. Maybe something about being a public servant....if that would get through his thick skull

I believe I’ve seen the boys in jeans with Prince Charles ? So perhaps it is that she didn’t allow jeans at dinner?

Those aren't "jeans". They are more like khakis.

I think jeans refers to blue denim jeans, especially ripped or faded.

I also think people of The Queen's generation saw blue jeans as the clothing that the lowest of workmen wore- such as miners and street sweepers. I have a feeling that Charles will carry on with the blue jeans ban.

Whatever. Reminds me of my archaic Grandmother, if you wore a tank top with cutoffs, she said, "All you need is a baby on your hip, and a cigarette in your lips...go live in a trailer park.".

S#@% Grandmas say...epic.

I think Williams look like dark jeans - Harry has khakis

Wait until she finds out polo ponies are sometimes euthanized when their game-caused injuries too serious?

And, we all knew Harry hunted with his family. Why didn't Meghan??? She might have pursued a man more in line with her lifestyle choices....
