Her Royal lime-ness! The Queen turns heads in a neon green and navy hat as she attends Sunday church service at Balmoral with Autumn Phillips

She looks fabulous in everything. I think this is my favorite. She looks stunning
:D
I'm Soooo luvin' this hat!

In an interview with Marie Claire he revealed: "Dinner was at 8:30pm in Balmoral when Her Majesty the Queen Mother was in attendance.

"They used to tell her that dinner was at 8:15, and she'd be the last one down.

"They told everyone else 8:30 because they knew she'd be late."

Darren also claims that dinners at the castle were very, very formal when he worked there, comparing it to Downton Abbey. The women used to wear ball gowns and all the fancy china was used.

Cheeky trick Queen used to make sure Queen Mother wasn't late down for dinner

It has an "Alice in Wonderland" look, interesting, how it makes the queen look younger. She should wear bright colors more often.

Add a clock, a few cogs, Steampunk it out. Excellent hat, for many uses.

If anyone who likes Downton hasn't seen Gosford park, I highly recommend it. Its written by Julian Fellowes who created and wrote most of Downton and has the same vibe

I love a good period drama, fave non Austen ones are North and South, Poldark and Call the Midwife although none of those have the glamour of Downton but the recent BBC War and Peace is perfect if you're looking for glamour

thanks for the suggestion
just got back from seeing Downton Abbey
I wish it was still on tv

Perhaps since this gown is black it does not seem to be skin tight on her. She usually wears her gowns about two sizes too small. Whoever her seamstress and dresser are, they don’t do a good job of dressing Sarah! IMO.

what is on her head
SMH
It was the Red Ribbon that was the motto or the symbol of the charity: British Heart Foundation.

Except that no one else photographed seems to be wearing a red ribbon like that. It draws attention to her overdone eye makeup and underdone hair. She needed more polish.

I do like the dress, but she should give up sleeveless. There's a reason older women need to cover up skin - like her chest and upper arms. Lots of lovely dresses have a sheer sleeve or top that covers the crepe-y skin stuff.

Misha Nonoo has released photos of her wedding dress. I like it apart from the choker bit
Misha Nonoo shares first look at the incredible bridal gown she created for star-studded nuptials | Daily Mail Online
I wish the front looked as pretty as the back.

That lace is very beautiful, but to my eye ( IMHO) it's a curved pattern and the angular lines of the neckline and sleeves are kinda fighting with the romantic curvy lace pattern. I think it might have looked better with a collar and a curved bodice line, rather than the choker and the flattening straight bust line.

That kind of large lace pattern is quite difficult to work with. Most lace bridal dresses have a smaller pattern repeat. That might be part of the problem.

Then there's the issue with the mismatched lace pattern at the seams, especially on the bodice. They should have been matched to carry the intricate lace pattern from the neckline to the toes without the obvious mismatch at the waist and the side seams. And maybe I'm compulsive, but the shoulder lace panels should have matched the rest of the sleeves

Oh I agree. The colors are crisp and sharp and very nice on her. Great color combination.

I'm really glad she isnt into a pastel rut.
