Sorry if I'm a bit behind with Royal news. But it just occurred to me that the family probably hasn't seen baby Archie in months. Is that right?
This is really sad to me.

So you are assuming they are constantly snapping without interference from the security behind and her utter unhappiness and then caught that perfect snap, even though this goes against everything she wants.

And now I know why the crown seems so real, my childhood has all flooded back to me!

Meghan might be feeling more relaxed just hearing from Harry that everything's settled to his satisfaction and he's looking forward to a brighter future.

The photographer could have been hidden in a tree for all we know!

It is very sad I think it must upset Her Majesty who is 93 and Prince Charles a lot. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will be missing him too.

I cant answer your question but just think how much quality time they'll have together as a family unit. With a far more relaxed mum and dad probably.

A colleague of mine has a 4 month old baby that her own husband hasnt seen since he was 3 weeks old because he serves overseas. That would be tough I think.

I thought I read that he had to be styled Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex like Diana, Princess of Wales but everyone ended up ignoring that and still called her Princess Diana so I thought the protocol would prohibit her from being called Duchess Meghan? I’m sure it will get sorted out
JMO

Diana was never supposed to be called "Princess Diana", that was the press and public expressing how they felt about her, but not the way she should have been properly addressed or titled.

It's the same with Duchess Catherine, she is married to a prince, but as she wasn't born a Princess, it's not proper to call her Princess Kate. Unlike Bea and Eugenie, who were born Princesses of the blood, and therefore are properly addressed as Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.

It's all very technical and confusing!

You would hope with that amount if security around her they weren’t hidden in a tree

I remember the HRH tributes at Diana's funeral. The public rebelling and showing a final act of solidarity. V sad times.

Excerpt from Tricia's opening post in this thread:

If you don't like Megan Markle you can certainly express your opinion as long as you are not rude, nasty, and in general you do not act like a jerk..if you need more of an explanation as to what this means I can't tell you anything else. If you can't discuss without crossing these boundaries then please do not post.
<bbm>

The downright nasty comments seem to be rearing their ugly heads again in this thread.

Tone down the viciousness in your posts or they will be removed and thread reply bans will be issued without further warning.

This is really sad to me.

They were with all the family on November 11th for Remembrance Day and I think went to Canada a few days after that, so a couple of months. I can easily go longer than that not seeing my family or inlaws, and they only live an hour away.

I reckon they'll come back around Easter which will have been a long time, but that's what most people have to do when they have family in different continents, I guess.

Most know that I am not a fan of M but she did look nice in the pic walking the dogs. I was surprised that there was no snow and that she did not wear gloves. Overall, she looked nice and cute pups. I am not sure I would get a baby out in those cold temps for a walk. The baby did look snug.

It's not cold where she is staying. She's not in Newfoundland :)

We need to remember that Doria hadn’t seen him in awhile until their break in Canada. She works and can’t come to England frequently. Lots of grandparents don’t live near their grandkids. They keep in touch with Skype and the grandkids get to know them in between visits. It will work just as well for the RF as it does for commoners. :)

We used to see my nan and granddad about every 3 months. I do wish that we could have lived closer so that I could have spent more time with them, but it's how it is.

At least nowadays families can share a lot more photos, it's cheaper to chat over a messenger app, and you can even do video calls on apps for free. So people today are lucky that there are more options for seeing and chatting in person than there were xx years ago when I was little. God, I feel old!

And that Markle doesn't typically beam straight into the lens of ... a tree lol

But everything hasn't been settled to his satisfaction. They are still working things out officially and Prince Harry himself stated in his speech that he wished to have kept his royal military appointments. The military is close to his heart.

Hopefully he allows himself to grieve all that has happened. Even happy changes that are best for a person has a grieving period.

Absolutely. The "grief curve" and the "change curve" are identical in terms of the emotions and stages.

(Source: BBC "Queen Acknowledges Bumpy Year..." December 24,2019)

"She refers to the life of Jesus and the importance of reconciliation, saying "small steps taken in faith and in hope can overcome long-held differences and deep-seated divisions to bring harmony and understanding".

"The path, of course, is not always smooth, and may at times this year have felt quite bumpy, but small steps can make a world of difference."

"Such reconciliation seldom happens overnight," the Queen says. "It takes patience and time to rebuild trust, and progress often comes through small steps."

Harry and Meghan, small steps.

Milk is much better to endorse than flipping a hamburger in a racy men's health video, JMO

I tried to post before the thread was closed, but I discovered that there was a really nice interview for Men’s Health with Meghan while she was grilling. A female reporter talked to her about food and Suits. In that context, the accompanying video you’re referring to came across as a campy spoof...something they did as a joke and not with being racy as the focus.
