If the door was closed to begin with, whoever got on the balcony would have to open it. Of course it might have been open to begin with but I don't know how we would figure that out. I don't know if the photo by a police officer showing an open balcony door was taken before or after Officer Onefoot got his boot print onto the balcony.

Confusion abounds in this case, doesn't it? Color me stubborn, but I did a freeze frame screen shot from an early video taken by a news or weather helicopter. I see NO rope and balcony doors are both closed. RZ's body is on the ground but not visible as it's covered by the video arrow. :banghead:

Based on this, RZ would not have come in contact with the cactus, or barely come in contact with the cactus.

The photo of the footprints on the balcony (in which you could see the tip of the shoe @ the balcony threshold of whomever took the photo) is now missing.

Did someone or a couple of someones plant her footprints and then lift her and throw her feet first over the balcony railing her head hitting the outer side of that railing on the way down or in the recoil back toward the balcony thereby causing the lacerations on her head? I do not think she hopped, I do not think she got herself by herself over that railing.

If she has cuts or scrapes from the cactus, that would definitely support the theory of someone throwing her over the balcony...followed by a wide swing of the body.

I don't believe it has ever been claimed that JS "suddenly" found out Max was worse at the time he called RN. It just might be the time that he decided to share the news with her.

Also, scrapes from a cactus, a plant, a wall, or a railing would show which direction her body was moving at the time, and head or feet first.

The balcony door was open when LE went into the room.

Where are the windows in that room? Were they even open, if they exist? I really want to see who matches the print and the boot/shoe that it matches.

I tried a loose re-creation of the rope use using a 60' fluorescent red tow rope of 3/8" diameter with yellow tube on one end with markings that can be used for only two persons or maximum 340 lbs.

I used same number of loops as indicated in autopsy; loose bindings. The tow-rope knots easily enough, though I could not come close to replicating the precision knots in the video.

The bindings seem to account for about 20 feet of rope, which would leave at least 40 feet of tow-rope to account for running from the bed, through the room, over the balcony, and the noose.

New in the bag, the tow-rope has knotted loops at both ends with no frayed ends. It is a type commonly sold for $12-$20 in boating stores in Southern California.

It is somewhat flat in the braid, not as rounded as the rope shown in the LE video; the diameter gets considerably larger and rounder toward the knots at the ends. To me looks identical to the tow-rope used at crime scene.

Ah - thanks for finding that, Rhyme. I could have sworn I'd seen it previously in the photo montage @ the other SDSO link, but I forgot about the images that were in the Power Point. My bad.

I saved all the images to my computer, though.
