I was supposed to be in NY this week. Good thing my trip got cancelled. Sunny and 82 degrees with some clouds mixed with sun and only a chance of showers today. Then sunny and in the 80's every day with no chance of rain again until Wednesday. I'll be throwing the cast net to catch pilchards and chum the shorelines with them to find the snook. So much fun!

Lol. Your trip was postponed? Lol. You been tarpon fishing yet? I did some daytime sword fishing within last month. We hooked up 3 times. Got 1 to the boat for the harpoon shot. I'm going to pioneer daytime sword fishing up here this summer. I'm convinced it can be done. It just takes the balls to drive 100 miles and instead of getting up on the troll.....going to put out sword baits.

Starting to stick here in SW Suffolk .. 7-11 inches expected in total. I don't think it will be too bad once they have the roads plowed and sanded.

Yes. Tried the daytime swords. Very interesting. Cruised to an offshore hump in the middle of nowhere. Fished whole squid practically on the bottom. So different. Also so strange how you can get down that deep with so little lead. Up in NY would have required 16 or so ounces.

Ever try sharkin' under the bridges?

Sharking in the IC you are talking about? Not sharking under Robert Moses bridge right? Cause I've never shared under rm bridge. I usually head to the 30 fathom curve around here when I'm sharking. The tarantula area ain't bad for an EARLY season thresher, close too. When we daytime dropped we used a lot more than 16 ounces. I plan on using 24 oz here to start. Fish 3 baits. Put out a chunk line just like I was chunking for tuna. Throw a pail of bunker chum over the side too. My biggest sword was 250. Fought like a freight train. I respect those fish a lot.
Most fun fishing I had in Florida was a wahoo trip. We zipped to the Bahamas for the weekend on my friends boat. We fished 2 days(not overnights) and had about 100 wahoo between the two days. Fed the island.

I LOVE fish tanks! I had five of varying sizes at one time in my house. They are so peaceful to watch!

(plops down on couch, adjusts the cushions, closes eyes)

I am not looking at any more missing person sites today! My eyeballs are starting to wobble around in their sockets.
