Why would a patient find the need to try and mask depression if they are open enough to discuss with their Doctor that their husband was having an affair, plus tell the Doc they have mood swings at a certain time of the month.

Trying to discreet the Doctor, isn't going to work.

What a prince.
Goes to see psychologist to obtain help for his marriage. Neglects to tell Dr about affair. Sounds like he was really keen to help his marriage.

11:30am: Dr Lumsden said he treated Mrs Baden-Clay and Mr Baden-Clay in late 2011.

Mrs Baden-Clay had not long discovered her husband's affair and requested that Dr Lumsden speak to Gerard.

Dr Lumsden said Gerard indicated he wanted to leave his wife, but also wanted to explore options to salvage his marriage.

"I think people at that stage were stuck between the dichotomy of staying or going," Dr Lumsden said.

I think Dr Laurie Lumsden has scored major points in determining that Allison was at zero risk of committing suicide, that he was very clearly impressed by her and that she was only showing slightly elevated stress levels, but completely within the normal range. This does irrevocably damage the suicide theory in MHO.
