You know I don't know why people said that the house looked sterile, it looks normally lived in to me ..

I am domestically challenged & if floors are clear and there are no piles of stuff mounting up - that's a marked improvement in our household :blushing:

When mother dearest comes to stay she knows in an instant if I've cleaned up for her benefit. If I'd moved so much as a photo frame my mother would pick up on it - and that's between 6 monthly visits! I have no doubt in my mind Mrs Dickie's observations were spot on. A mother knows IMO.

Mrs Dickie said she found the house to be very tidy, to the point of seeming “sterile”.

She also noticed that a photograph of her daughter and son-in-law, which usually stood on a cupboard by the front door, had been moved.

I wonder if it did look more tidy, but these photos were taken a little later- things had been gone through either by Police or undersupervision (I would think) by Police while GBC packed up his and the girls things when they moved into his parents.

That was from the later one....so possibly not from breakfast on the 20th.....although I did see cups and saucers in those photos so not sure how much had actually been cleaned up since
