They were lucky to get DNA from the fingernail samples. There is quite a lot of bacteria under nails which breaks down DNA add to that the environment Allison was found in which would further deteriorate it, it's a blessing they got anything at all.

Ms Reeves was also given swabs from the ensuite drain, sink, bath drain. Profiles were not successful or mixed.
