#badenclay barrister saying Allison said you have a decision to make, her or me. This happened at McDonald's carpark. @9NewsBrisbane

All these explanations, all these new statements he will make - why did he not make them 2 years ago? If he's going to swear that this is the truth and nothing but the truth, why was it not in a statement to police when the incident first happened?

He has had 2 years to make up a story and make sure he gets the details to fit "just right".

Allison told him 'her or me'. If it's me she has to go #badenclay

It was a long term affair, had been running for years, but he was prepared to cut it - Mr Byrne #badenclay

So this is why defence gave no opening address.

They were saving it for now!!

Byrne says Gerard will tell how he and Allison drove to Mt Cootha together to discuss the questions. #badenclay

Byrne says Gerard will say the relationship was never one of raised voices or violence. #badenclay

Mt Cootha? From there to Kholo?

Byrne says Gerard told people in the office what had happened. Toni's desk was cleared. #badenclay

Byrne says Gerard will tell jury the affair wasn't forgotten, it was a sore topic. #badenclay

Gerard's last big sales pitch!!..

I'd say he's going to plant a seed that it was someone else - or someone else was involved.

Stand and fall.

His evidence to be given in his shaky, poor-me voice no doubt. Oh my gosh I can't believe this!! :scared:

He will tell you it wasn't forgotten, that he didn't wake up and all was rosy #badenclay

David Murray ‏@TheMurrayD 46s
It was a topic still alive in April 2012 but there was nothing other than a discussion #badenclay

Byrne says in none of those months after affair was discovered was there anything but discussion between them.

Byrne says on April 19, "things went as they did in the Baden-Clay household". Both went to work. They chatted about children. #badenclay#badenclay

The girls weren't alone as 'he had somebody stay with them'. Gerard did not carry his wife's body down a muddy slope as 'he pushed her over the bridge'. And therefore, he did not drive back from Kholo Creek having walked through the mud!

Well Gerard, who the bloody hell did? She did not walk there. Tell us and then maybe I'll think you're innocent. Oh I hope he doesn't wiggle out of this. : (

HI everyone.
I have been here with you all along but have never posted until now.

I will firstly say that I have also been impressed with the tone of the forum - occasionally I have felt like it has descended into almost a lynch mob ....but whenever it has teetered on the edge of that - it has always come back to a discussion committed to understanding all the ins and outs of what actually happened and foremost of all compassion and a wish for truth and closure for the Dickies and the 3 girls and respect and justice for Allison.

I knew them both many years ago , not very well, but enough to say hi to Allison when I saw her at the shops in later years and to ask Geraaard for an appraisal on my house when I was thinking of selling.

My initial reaction was one of complete shock when the news broke.
Shock that it was Allison who was missing and then found dead......and complete disbelief that he was capable of such a heinous act.
I didn't have a high regard for Geraard , so was not surprised by his adultery , stupidity in business or nastiness within his marriage .....BUT murder???
It was just too hard to believe ...and no doubt if I felt that , his own family and close friends would have had an even greater disbelief to the point that they would try very hard to convince themselves that he DIDN'T do it.

There have been times when I have STILL doubted that it was possible, almost wanted to believe that it was not possible. Give him the benefit of the doubt....
But really .... I kept coming back to the question ...who did it, if it wasn't him????
During the trial I have also shared moments with you, when I have thought there is a possibility that he would be found not guilty...as the prosecution just didn't seem to have any knockout punches.

But so many little things all together make for a pretty convincing case – in my mind anyway!!
MOO so to speak 
The blood in the car was Allison’s
There was someone else’s DNA under her fingernails
The scratches on his face were from fingernails not a razor.
His phone was put on a charger (all by itself) at 1.48 am when he was supposedly asleep
He used the find my phone app in the morning and it didn’t say where she was and yet later that day it said she was out the back in the next door neighbours place.
He has inconsistencies and lies in his interviews (story ) with police, around shaving and lunches

There’s probably a few other glaringly obvious things that I have forgotten here as well so feel free to remind me of any others

BUT NOW while I have been writing this I find out he IS ACTUALLY going to take the stand to try and convince us all that he didn’t do it!
Wow - This is going to be interesting!!
