I have a question -- the pyjamas that Alison's daughter saw her wearing while she was sitting on the couch watching TV, have not been found? Is that right? Thank you :)

The defence says Allison was last seen wearing her PJs on the couch. She was watching the Footy Show #badenclay

Caroline Overington ‏@overingtonc 44s

When her body was found, she was wearing her 'walking gear' - three quarter pants, singlet, bra, sneakers, socks, jumper #badenclay

Caroline Overington ‏@overingtonc 43s

The defence says: how did that happen? #badenclay

How does that happen? Defence #badenclay

Sarah Elks ‏@sarahelks 56s

Defence tells jury Allison #badenclay was last seen in pyjamas on couch, but her body was found in exercise clothes, with shoes laced up.
"How does that happen?" Defence barrister Byrne asks jury. #badenclay

Byrne asks "how does that happen?". Is the Crown theory that Gerard somehow dresses a dead body? #badenclay

Byrne asks jurors if they have ever had to dress or undress a child who has fallen asleep. Says Allison is not a child. #badenclay

We won't know for sure until we hear from the prosecution.

Byrne: we know she was wearing pjs that night, when found in running gear. "How does that come about?" @abcnews #badenclay

David Murray ‏@TheMurrayD 27s
Is the Crown theory he dresses the body, a dead, inert body? Defence #badenclay

Is the Crown theory that Gerard somehow dressed 'the dead, inert body' ? #badenclay

Is the Crown theory he undressed her and dressed her meticulously, even putting a jumper on her - defence #badenclay

Sarah Elks ‏@sarahelks 46s
Defence: "Is the Crown theory that after he violently murders his wife, he somehow dresses the body?" #badenclay

Leonie Mellor ‏@leoniemellor 25s
Byrne: asks if Crown theory is that G #badenclay has undressed and redressed Allison after dead. Put jumper on b/c cold?#badenclay @abcnews

Or is the Crown theory maybe Allison went to bed in running clothes - defence #badenclay
How does that wash? Defence #badenclay

Caroline Overington ‏@overingtonc 1m

A violent killing - but he was 'considerate enough to put a jumper on the dead body'? #badenclay

Caroline Overington ‏@overingtonc 39s

Or is the Crown case that Gerard waited until morning to violently kill Allison? And then rushed off to dispose of her body? #badenclay

  • #332
Byrne asks if Gerard had thought to put a jumper on a dead body because it was cold in April. #badenclay

Kate Kyriacou @KateKyriacou · 48s

Byrne says maybe the Crown believes he waited til morning, killed her and drove off before children woke up. #badenclay

Byrne asks whether any of those theories completely satisfy jury of being the only way it could have happened. #badenclay

John Sharpe murdered his wife in her bed one night.. no body heard a thing.... his little daughter , Gracie, slept thru it.. . unfortunately for Gracie, she had to go off, too.. John told everyone his wife had left him with the baby, and gone off with another man.. to prop up the story ,he took Gracie with him when he bought a speargun.. that thing one uses to hunt sharks with ,and fired it thru Gracie's head one night...

Police eventually found his wifes body, and Gracies in the garbage dump near Frankston, Victoria..

John tried to put on a good display of appealing for his wife's return.. he even wrung a few tears out..

Thanks for that. I looked that case up and now I need to vomit. Where's that bucket

Maybe he is going to leave the scratches until last. He will surely mention them.

He will, and I venture to say the fact that of the 5 prosecution witnesses (that I can recall), they all dissented in one way or another will be one of the points hammered home.

Its not hard to undress and redress a dead body- just ask a nurse

David Murray ‏@TheMurrayD 42s
You have to be satisfied there is no reasonable other theory - defence #badenclay

Leonie Mellor ‏@leoniemellor 56s
Byrne: asks if Crown theory is Allison dresses night b4 in running gear to save time or G #badenclay waits til morn to redress? @abcnews

Katrina Blowers ‏@katrinablowers 1m
Defence:"Was the Crown theory..he undressed her & dressed her..even to extent he put a jumper on the body?" #badenclay @7NewsBrisbane
