:40am: Mr Byrne has displayed another PowerPoint slide to the courtroom.

The slide is headed: "How did Gerard Baden-Clay dispose of the body?"

The prosecution has alleged Mr Baden-Clay dragged his dead wife to the boot of her Holden Captiva parked in the family's car port and then drove to Kholo Creek at Anstead where he dumped her body on the muddy banks.

"Why is there no blood anywhere in the house, outside the house, on the patio, in the carport, when the prosecution case is the body is somehow either dragged or carried through the foliage and deposited in the car?" Mr Byrne asked.

"No blood.

"But there's one [blood stain] in the car and therefore that's how he did it.

"All you have in the car is a blood stain ... that can't be aged."

She could have been attacked and smothered in the garden at the rear of the house, after trying to leave during a row. The back garden looks quite secluded - not much chance of being spotted. Could explain why the house was clean - although wasn't there mention of the smell of bleach in the house?

No evidence of bleach. That was an unsubstantiated rumour. Mrs Dickie said the house was sterile but she meant very very tidy. If she had smelt bleach or cleaning fluids I have no doubt she would have mentioned it. I was there for her evidence and she did not hold back.

If I was Mr Byrne.. ( god help me ) I would have finished with this stuff.. and led with the finance stuff, as that's the bit I would want the jury to forget ..

Ok thanks - I thought that is what you meant.

I think though that ALL 5 experts agreed that it could have been made from fingernails......sorry to disagree

No disagreement here, you are correct.

I was just about to ask that too - do we know if the clothing on her upper body was different to what she was wearing with the pj bottoms? Also Byrne mentioned a bra earlier - was Allison found wearing a bra? I thought there had been talk about a tank top with one of those built in shelf bras, but I don't recall a bra on it's own being mentioned (could be my bad memory though). Anyway whipping off loose pyjama pants and replacing them with very loose track pants isn't such a tall order.

I hope the prosecution has noted this LIE.

LOL - my head is spinning - trying to read quickly and keep up...arggh

I'm Allison's height and weight, and would regard one of those integrated bra-singlet tops as OK for walking on support grounds, but some of them are a bit low cut for wear outside the house. However, it was cool weather - so she might just have put a jacket over the top.

Good grief, it's not like they're Security. I have seen, in person and on tv (in reports), kids sleeping through piercing alarms. (of course for every kid like that there's one like me who woke up for every sound, including but not limited to deer walking though the woods - we lived in the woods on a mountain lol.) But really it doesn't seem like a reliable standard to me.

Our neighbour's car was stolen at 3am. They entered the house with the husband asleep on the fold out sofa where he had been watching videos, they watched some of it AND rewound it and made themselves some food and sat at the end of the sofa eating while he slept. They took the keys to the brand new Audi and who heard the tyres screeching as they left? Me! Our bedrooms are on that side. I woke my husband up and said "I think their car just got stolen!" He hadn't heard it and went back to sleep. Their kids didn't hear it and their bedroom was right next to where the car was taken from. My kids didn't hear it either, their bedrooms are also on that side. Nobody else heard it. The wife came over later to ask if we'd heard anything during the night!

Yes I do. I think the defence will wrap up before lunch. Then at 2.30 I think the prosecution will start. They will have a working lunch I think to prepare.

Of course I could be totally wrong about the timing but I think the prosecution will get started today.

The prosecution will do an excellent job, I'm quite sure of that. I have the utmost respect for counsel on both sides.

And yes thank you to all those providing updates, I'm (attempting) to work while following this thread and can't individually "thank" all posts but I do appreciate the updates.
