The December 23 party

Tadpole12,
That's a new title link for me? Was there not a crime-scene photograph displayed on some JonBenet documentary which somebody made a screen-grab of?

.

Yes, will look around.

Question - sorry to bother you.

If John and Patsy want to direct attention AWAY from the sexual abuse (and I would think strangulation or garrotes do suggest sexual abuse) - and pretend it's a robbery or kidnaping gone wrong, why was she left all tied up to the garotte? With Patsy's paintbrush?

I guess we won't know until someone confesses - or until a family member decides to come forward.

JAR - not necessarily in Atlanta. Pretty suspicious for a college-age young man to keep movie ticket stubs. It's as if he knew he would need an alibi. Maybe this is far-fetched?

Yes, I do believe (and won't go into detail why I suspect this) that JAR had been sexually abusing JB and perhaps Burke as well. This does not necessarily indicate that he killed JB. But, if the Rs want to frame JAR, wouldn't it make sense to compose a ransom note that "sounds as if a young man had written it"? (To me, the note does not sound like something a woman would write. Women are not raised to use such violent language. So perhaps John and Patsy purposely wrote it to sound like a young man?) Is this far-fetched? JAR was also known to have a drinking problem and get into fights with other young men. So wouldn't he be a good person to frame?

There also was a story circulating that JAR had tried to hire a male person to kill JB (to silence JB). For all we know, maybe John Ramsey pushed this narrative?

icedtea4me,

Another odd detail that Beth was killed on the way to the airport and that JB's disappearance delayed the Rs trip to the airport.

PremeditatedCrime,

The staging was meant to conceal the chronic sexual abuse, not the assault that occurred the night of the murder. The assault that night itself also could have been staging, as even IDI requires a motive.

Who knows about the paintbrush? This also goes back to motive. PR leaving her physical evidence on it is very much against her being uninvolved.

Patsy lost it when seeing that last photo taken of JonBenet.
Little JonBenet's neck was wretchedly injured in death so a precious gifted scarf to cover the horrendous scar is befitting, oui? How was the scarf depicted as being with JonBenet?
I remember the multi-colored long scarf in the kitchen mentioned being on the narrow glass table against the green painted wall. Police photo?

Then it was John's turn. He had recently purchased a beautiful silk scarf, and he tucked it around JonBenet as if surrounding her with a final blanket of love. (DoI, pp 39-40)

That would be a good way of hiding any incriminating evidence- roll it up in one side of the scarf and tuck it under her body. Then deny access to the body once it has been buried.

Maybe it really was the Seven Godivas. We do know it was an Adult book not Red Fish.

No, both JAR and the police investigation confirmed it was Oh, The Places You'll Go Someday/Summary (?)

JAR recently confirmed it via Twitter.

Where in the police investigation was the title of the book confirmed? Can ya post that link?

Was she? I remember reading that she and her boyfriend were on their way home after visiting some museum.

icedtea4me,

According to a Denver Post article of Feb. 2, 1997, 22 year old Beth was killed on her way to the airport when her boyfriend lost control of his BMV on Interstate 55.

For a young child, sexual abuse can strip away feelings of self-worth. There can be feelings of being unwanted and unloved. Fear is a terrifying feeling that can stunt emotional growth. They may find it difficult to mask the pain.

Had JonBenet begun feeling as if she was an object? Did she ask herself "Why?" Had she lost her power to say "No?"

Is SA a possible explanation for JonBenet, who was near tears, while sitting on one of the stair rungs and telling a guest attending the Dec. 23 party, "I don't feel pretty?"

How close did JonBenet come to revealing SA that particular evening when a 911 call was made from inside the home?

DeDee,
There really is no way for a ‘young child’ to process sexual abuse. I have never viewed JB as a child who did not possess self worth. I also believe she was groomed and made to feel comfortable. There are different forms of sexual abuse all of which come with different feelings.

Is SA a possible explanation for JonBenet, who was near tears, while sitting on one of the stair rungs and telling a guest attending the Dec. 23 party, "I don't feel pretty?"

It is my understanding that JB had put on makeup and her mom got onto her and told her to go take it off. Your guess is as good as mine why JB was upset.

How close did JonBenet come to revealing SA that particular evening when a 911 call was made from inside the home?

The odd 911 hang up call and then her murder 2 days later, makes things seem a bit strange. Especially when you know the real 911 call was rehearsed. Why would a mother hang up a lifeline 911 call when she believes her daughter has been kidnapped?

I’d like to see where the police released that info.

JAR's semen on the blanket in a suitcase in the basement

"It had the adult Dr. Seuss book in it."

Has JAR, or anyone else, said where his blanket and the book under discussion were usually kept in the house? There has to be a from Point A to Point B, in any case. However, it may be a moot point; as I think of this aspect as being part of the diversions offered by the staging.

icedtea4me,

You recently quoted this section of the RN: "Police, F.B.I., etc." The punctilious punctuation is striking for an writer in haste. There is also: "$118,000.00" which is even more peculiar.

Tadpole12,
Do you reckon Patsy or John knew JAR's blanket was semen stained?

Did someone not say that fibers found in the suitcase matched fibers from the wine-cellar?

.

And it's also worth noting that John Andrew has lied, and stated that it was the children's book. As recently as this month via Twitter. The adult book is more serious, as it could be used for grooming purposes.

By the way, I'm JDI with premeditated murder. Perhaps John hired Linda the housekeeper and her husband to do it? (Also believe that John framed Patsy, Burke and to a lesser degree John Andrew. I will bet that John physically moved John Andrew's suitcase to cast suspicion on him. Obviously that would lead the police on a wild goose chase, since John Andrew was in Georgia at the time.)

A taser was found in the home of Linda and her husband. Her husband had a criminal record. They alibied each other. Taser probably NOT used in the murder, so somewhere along the way, the plan was changed.

Ransom note obviously composed by John: big ego trip for himself; no profanity or swear words; it's all about HIM. The "Listen Up" also came from a crime movie.

(Did Glenn Meyer do the physical handwriting of the note, perhaps on December 23?)

Anyway, the fact that it was the adult book.... well, no wonder why John Andrew recently lied about that on his Twitter page.
