A poster on NG's board said it was SA that 'claimed' Hailey was wearing those earrings when he last saw her..I recall this now myself but have nothing to back it up..Sorry!

So nobody thinks it strange that Naomi would suddenly "remember" that Hailey took her earrings out on Christmas, and not mention it until the missing earring was found sometime in early January after they moved? Even though Billie was told she was wearing the earrings when she went missing and didn't realize that she wasn't wearing them until D brought the one earring to her?? How would she have known where they were to ask D to go and get it?
I find that a little odd, to say the least.
And I fail to see how that makes Billie into a liar or trying to deflect anything. To me, it looks more suspicious on Clint and Naomi's part than it does on Billlie's. JMO

I'm still not comfortable with the earring explanation. I've yet to find a story that accounts for both earrings and when BD was aware that both earrings were accounted for.

I keep seeing the quote where Billie says she noticed Hailey was not wearing the earrings on Sunday. But that was not what I remembered. I even read the transcripts looking for a word missing, but what I remembered her saying was not supported by the transcripts provided by CNN. I looked for the video, since I am SO sure that what I heard her say was what CONNIEHU said above...

That is, "Billie thought she had the earrings on
She didnt think that she came back with one or none on"

I never saw or heard her say that she knew Hailey did not have the earrings on, in fact, I thought there was a "not" in there and she said she had NOT noticed. I definitely recall THIS, however. How can I remember this EXACTLY THIS WAY if it didn't happen? And why does CONNIEHU remember it too? I am NOT being snotty or snarky... I REALLY AM CONFUSED.

This is a significant issue that I take great umbrage about. From the get go IMO this was nothing other Than Billie realizing at some point after the fact(who knows exactly when)that "red hoop earrings" were important enough that they needed to be added to the Missing Persons Posters. And once it was quickly realized that Hailey did not even have the earrings on(and hadn't had them on since Christmas Day when she removed them in front of more than one person, at her daddy's house because her poor ears were very sore)... Once this was found out it still was not spoken about, reported, and definitely not changed on the Missing Person Posters, ads, flyers, etc. (as it still has yet to be rectified even at this late date)..
Nothing was "made" of this discovery until later in the "game"(I say game because Billie seems to be planning, plotting, and deciding her next move as if it were some type of "game")when the reality is that it is her beautiful 13 yr old daughters life that we are dealing with!!:angering:
Billie pulled out this "card" at a convenient time(to direct focus from the ONLY SUSPECT HER BF SA)it seems that only then when it was found to be of great help to Billie and SA was the entire "mystery of the red hooped earrings" suddenly brought to light!

IMO totally and completely out of no other reason whatsoever than to attempt to sway ppls thoughts to looking in a different direction other than that of her lover, SA and instead attempt to "spotlight" a fictional and bs direction of looking at Hailey's daddy and Naomi.

Naomi makes no bones about the earrings. When and how and where they were removed. How and when she later discovered an earring, where she placed that earring and what happened with that earring. As it was taken by DD to his mom whom felt it NOT IMPORTANT ENOUGH TO CHANGE THE MISSING PERSON POSTER, ADS, WEBSITES, FLYERS, ETC, ETC.

Nor did LE at any time feel it important enough to mention it, include it in affidavits, nor ask for polygraphs from those whose home it was discovered in(that being the most important detail in my opinion)..

Until Billie Jean, herself decided to use it as some sort of tactic, as I said to sway focus from thAt of her young lover, Shawn Adkins! She then decided to tell the world of this "finding" of the earring that Hailey had on when disappearing and it was daddy's house it wAs found!! Scandalous!! or so she wanted it to be(IMO)but as usual much to her dismay Clint and Naomi just easily spoke the truth and quelled all rumors of anything nefarious in any way.

IMO that is just one of the various reasons that not long after we saw the "throw Clint under the bus campaign"(as Clint himself has stated) because Billie Jean has been desperately attempting to sway, change, and alter the direction of focus from her and her lover from the get go. Jmo, though!

I take great umbrage in this as I do several other specific issues that have been attempted to have been used to manipulate and alter the public as well as media and LE to focus ON ANYTHING/EVERYTHING AWAY FROM HERSELF AND SHAWN! which IMO means taking focus off of bringing her 13 yr old daughter, Hailey home!!!

IMO, the earrings were such a minor part of the description, I can't see why they'd be left in or taken out of the description. I mean, if it looks like Hailey, and is dressed like Hailey, but doesn't have red earrings, are you going to assume it isn't Hailey? Of course not. And those earrings are only "red hoops" in the most general sense of the term. I envisioned something entirely different, so even if I had seen Hailey,a nd she had these in, I might not think of them as "red hoops" (the "hoops" are a semicircle, and they are not red, but silver. The decorative balls are red.)

TY!! I've been wanting to have a serious discussion about those 'earrings'!

We found out a few weeks ago that DD found '1' earring on the floor after CD moved out of his apt. & brought it home.

We found out a few days ago from Naomi that earring was actually the '2nd' one cos DD took one from Clint's house on the very day Hailey went missing..Naomi had put that one on her shelf AFTER Hailey took off both earrings on X-Mas cos "her ears hurt"..She had left both near the sofa on the floor but later that day Naomi only found that one..DD took that earring home also, again, on the same day Hailey went missing.

Wouldn't this have been important enough information for NS to have cleared up earlier? Did she or CD attempt to correct this info when HD first went missing? Your kids gone, your ex is giving out the wrong info about the earrings, wouldn't you speak up loudly and say, "NO, one earring was found in my house!!!"

Your going to drop your earrings on the floor and ask for someone to pick them up for you? Not in my home. (I readily admit I am not Martha Stewart and don't need the extra work.)

Your kids gone, your ex is giving out the wrong info about the earrings, wouldn't you speak up loudly and say, "NO, one earring was found in my house!!!"

Well, unless Hailey remembered later that she had put them on the floor and called Naomi or something. But if somebody drops something on the floor and asks me to pick it up, if they're right there, they better have a cast on their leg or something.

Is there a picture of the earings?

I would like to see the replicate Hailey's outfit the day she went missing.

They have done that in a few cases. I know what brands I buy and where I shop. I have little faith that would be the case here. Sometime my daughter does get stuff from other people but I am a tag checker. Billie seems like she would keep taps but with Dads household being that close it might be harder to keep up with those details.

I dont understand the light colored shirt desciption unless the LE is holding back that info to verify witness sightings.

Yet according to czgtz, Billie "thought" (just like Billie "thought" about the earrings) that Hailey was wearing pink and white tennis shoes. Right up until she found the tennis shoes in Hailey's room.

And then there was Hailey's jacket. You know, the one her friends said she'd never have left the house without. czgtz says that Billie - just like the shoes - found Hailey's jacket in her room.

Now isn't that odd? It sounds almost as if that was a surprise, finding Hailey's jacket in her room. But if Shawn told her - as, again, he must surely have noticed - that Hailey wasn't wearing a jacket, but just a tshirt - on that cold day - well then, why even the mention that Billie found the jacket in Hailey's room?

And when you put those three items of clothing together - earrings, footwear, jacket or no jacket, well, you've got a very strange situation indeed. Quite implausible. And it just doesn't make sense.

What is it that Judge Judy says? If it doesn't make sense, then it isn't true. Something like that.

ITA that it is an EXTREMELY MINOR PART OF THE DESCRIPTION!

and it is only because Billie felt that IT WAS MAJOR ENOUGH AND IMPORTANT ENOUGH concerning the DESCRIPTION THAT SHE HAD THE EARRINGS ADDED TO THE DESCRIPTION..

that is the only reason I ask if it were so IMPORTANT of a detail that it MUST BE ADDED..all the more it would be equally important for it to corrected when it was found that she WAS NOT WEARING THE EARRINGS..BUT it wasn't..and it's MOO of why I believe as with many other issues in this case her mom{Billie} only uses and mentions certain things when they serve a purpose for her{or her "man"..SA more importantly}
