What for? the loans were extended already once (from last may until 20th december) according to an AP press article last May. It is very telling too that Raymone K. Bain (Jackson's spokeswoman) hasn't made a statement until now. So it is very likely that Fortress is haggling like hell in the background. They have all the time and money in the world after all. Michael Jackson obviuosly hasn't.

Did you really sing with them? If so that's so cool, I not only know who they are but was a big fan back in the day. I'm sure many remember them and artists from that era that are considered retro now know of them. My daughters know more about pop culture from the 70's and 80's (music and tv) than me, mostly because of the internet I think.

For an additional 9% or 9.5%, they would wait because the additional interest would give their company 2 million a year.

The question is--why bother extending it for extra interest if the SOB ain't paying you to begin with? That's like saying: I don't have 200 mil in the bank, but if i hold off collecting the debt I'll have even MORE money not in the bank! I suspect he'll lose control of the catalog before the end of the year, but we won't hear about it until the new owner of the catalog announces the fact.

I think we are all supposed to feel sorry for her. But she lost my sympathy when she got up on the witness stand and denied everything. And that came after giving hints to the media about all she knew about him. She had her chance then to keep him from leaving the country and she blew it!

I really believe if she had gotten up on the stand and TOLD THE TRUTH, Michael might be where he belongs :behindbar and she might well have her children. NOTICE I said "might" only because I don't know that that jury would have convicted him even if they had watched it happen right in front of them. :furious:

There is really no difference between Debby Rowe and those Jacko whackos in front of the courtroom. All she wants is the continuation of her monthly checks for her previous paid-for womb, and her idol's recognition. I could care less about her. Clearly, other than her winning her legal case about re-instatement of her child-custody arrangement, she cares squat about her bio children. Probably being given the promise of financial continuance and "Michael's" observance of her, is that that she cares about. She's a dead issue. What she did on the witness stand was despicable enough for her to finally get her come-uppence. Jackson dead meat. Who is there to care about the welfare of these two American children? Who is there to legitimatally fight for their poor lives? Doesn't it just break your hearts?

OMG -- a f'loon came in and copied my words to the family who suffered from the hands of Michael Jackson and twisted them to be comments wishing Michael Jackson well. f'loons make me sick. i'm sad that the blog you set up to send nice comments to the family has been completely destroyed by nutters.

Michael Jackson's children are just as much victim as the others. If you don't think that then why would he be so protective of them? He is a pedophile. He is always about protecting his persona. Including but not limited to his own adopted children. And, no, I don't think he had anything to do with their biological birth.

I totally agree with you, yadler, and I hope I didn't sound like I give a squat about DR, because I could less about her. You'e exactly right - all she cared/cares about is the money. And, in reality, I don't think that the children would be any better off with her. It's a really sad situation for those children.
