I was hoping that there would be a pre-funeral notice posted like families do in some parts of the country. I was re-reading his one BLOG page, written the day before Janet's murder where he talks so much about positives and negatives, successes and failures in his life. His mother was left alone with a houseful of small children, and he says they had a very hard life. It's possible that his mother changed all their names to totally erase the father from their lives.. If so, she may have also changed hers to Abaroa, in which case it's a non-issue. If he has used the name from early childhood, it doesn't matter at all.
If he changed it in the 1990's though, it could be for a reason other than to have a " cool new name".
I also keep going back to his comments about HIS soccer accomplishments, and the total lack of any documentation of such.
Unless he used another name, which is very possible, I think he out and out lied.
I keep remember the self- inflated lies of a fertilizer salesman in CA...
If a person will lie about things which should not matter to anyone at all, then chances are, they are habitual liars. I'm trying to form a clearer picture of the real and authentic Raven Abaroa. He writes, he changes, he deletes. What is substance and what is fluff? I see so much more undocumented fluff about himself and his adult accomplishments by the age of 25 than I can imagine a young successful man writing.
His BLOG should be called " Smoke and Mirrors", because that's what his life appears to be since he has been old enough to make all these internet entries.
I'm so frustrated by the total silence in the case that I have written to all the North Caroliina Raleigh/ Durham outlets today.
