The dispatch mentions Lisa's cough with a cold. That was at 4 am. The last way JI remembers his daughter, being sick. Did anyone hear Lisa coughing that night?

This is a very good point. All evening/night when SB and DB were out on the porch drinking, did SB hear Lisa coughing? Could Lisa have choked?

If SB heard Lisa coughing to the point of choking and did nothing, SB would be at least be morally accountable, so I certainly hope not.

I would think that the boys could have heard it, but with child play, the noise of the movie they were watching, and familiarity with her coughing because she had been doing it for several days, they might not have paid much attention to it other than to recognize it as a familiar sound.
