I could swear that the first time on recross she said that she stepped on shelf and grabbed gun without touching a shelf with her free hand. She grabbed gun . I will go look for the data.

She did say that the first time. She changed it the next time she told it and said she grabbed an upper shelf with one hand, but she wasn't sure which.

Given I hope JA gets the punishment she deserves, Martinez (who I was impressed with the 1st week) I would not like if I was on that jury for many reasons. One being he is questioning JA memories, issues, etc but doesnt remember his own questions has to have the clerk read it so obiviously he has issues himself... And he (imo) tries to create arguments. He wouldn't help the DA if I was sitting on that jury...JMO and I do hope she is punished again ..........

BBM

he isn't reading them out because he can't remember then,he's reading them out because he's clearly fed up asking her over and over to get a straight yes or no

I think it's great that he asks the CR to re-read his questions. JA blamed her FOG on the way JM asked questions, so by having the CR re-read it, he takes himself out of he equation and shows that she still can't properly answer a question.

Plus it puts an end to their (her) back & forth word-games, for which I'm sure the jury is grateful.

DD's show tonight is horrible with everyone talking over each other (Lisa Bloom, Bethany Marshall, Janine D). It's annoying and seems very unprofessional. JMO. Beth Karas is a class act, as usual.

Yes, they could. However, certainly someone on the jury has these type of shelves in their home, or knows what they will or will not withstand.

MOO

True but why leave it to chance? Thinking as if I was on the jury, I would feel that it would be impossible but if the prosecution did not present evidence to demonstrate that impossibility it could lead me to think that it is indeed possible.

I know this is not popular opinion but the guy on DD's theory is exactly what I have envisioned in my head.

Not buying any of what the crime scene guy on DDrew says. He's got it wrong.

It hasnt been my theory...but it makes good sense...

The only part I agree with is what I said weeks ago, she put him in the shower to wash off her blood from his body. The rest is all BS and doesn't even fit the 62 sec timeline. imo

Beyond what the medical examiner said about when the gun shot happened, going to get the knife - having time to do that- is exactly what Juan was talking about today. She didn't have time. That was his argument EXACTLY.

I didn't get to see/hear much of today's testimony except JM. How dang lucky was that dental cleaning appt.? I just addicted half the dental office staff with my streaming video. I don't think I have fully atoned for my badgering against JM. I heard it today from some of the staff. I think one has to be involved fairly deeply into the proceedings and facts to "get" JM. What a freakin' master he is. Talk about some serious stamina!!!! Dude, I would totally want to throw in the towel myself. In a perfect world, we could all lose calories in a battle of the words, right? ;-)

I think the juror questions illustrate their awareness of credibility. This case is almost wholly dependent on the defendants credibility and I think JM has elicited overwhelming evidence, from the testimony of the defendant herself, that she lacks any semblance of credibility. The jurors may essentially then just disregard all of her testimony. The only alternate facts in evidence are those the prosecutor laid out. I think that bodes well.

I don't see the jurors wasting their time trying to make sense of her testimony and resolve it's conflicts. They are much more likely to disregard it in it's entirety, IMO. If so, there should be a fairly quick verdict. Can anyone imagine anything being "quick" in this case? For the sake of TA's family I hope the verdict is.

I always thought he had the clerk read the questions to peeve her off and because he was tired of playing her "could you repeat that" game.

A little OT but just trying to possibly help Brandi out or any of you who accidentally hit their "backspace" bar. I have a Mac so not sure if this works the same on a PC but if/when I accidentally hit "delete" on my Mac (which is the same as what "backspace" is on a PC) and accidentally erase what I've typed, if you go up to the bar for your web browser (see my pic below to see what I'm talking about exactly) and click "Edit", in the drop-down menu there should be an option for "Undo"; when I click that, it makes my accidentally released stuff reappear (most of the time). Not sure if it works the same on PC but incase it does, just trying to help provide and easy fix/solution for future accidents.

Thank you! I'm on a pc and tried this. It worked! :rocker:
On Firefox the undo is under the Edit button also.

For those of you who contemplate how Jodi's family may be coping with this, Lisa Ling's most recent episode of Our America featured 4 people whose family members have committed murder. One was the Unibomber's brother, one was the father of a boy who shot up a school in Santee, CA, one was a daughter of Robert Yates, and one was the brother of a man who raped and murdered an elderly woman. He turned his brother in and then his brother was eventually put to death.

It was pretty interesting.

You can watch the episode here - http://www.oprah.com/own-our-america-lisa-ling/Families-of-Killers-How-the-Unabombers-Brother-Turned-Him-In-Video but its broken into pieces

Jodi's mother and aunt have sat in that courtroom since the trial began and have shown nothing but disrespect to the court and to Travis's family. I have watched the two of them roll their eyes and snicker at Travis's sister when she was so upset that she had to leave the courtroom. Jodi's mother contacted the NE in an attempt to sell forged letters, which she knew were forged, for Jodi. Jodi's family goes on that pathetic website and defend her actions and behaviors along in addition to attacking Travis and his family's integrity. Jodi's family is trying to make a profit from a circumstance that involves a man being savagely murdered. Jodi's mom was very involved in helping Jodi prepare to skip town before she could be arrested.

For those who insist that Jodi's family members should be considered as much the victims as Travis's family please consider how insulting this is to the family whose brother was savagely and brutally murdered. And, no, I haven't contemplated what Jodi's family is going through because after watching their behavior, I don't care.
