Yes, it was very sneaky of Juan to apply simple logic to shoot down her lies. Jodi does not take react well to logic. Like holding up a string of garlic to make a vampire recoil.

Sorry but I do know men who would not have sex with a completely obsessed and emotionally unstable women, knowing full well she wanted much more than they were willing to give (in other words, knowingly and willingly using her for sex when she was in love). Travis ****ed up. He obviously didn't deserve to die for it. But he's not a saint. He's human. Probably a really nice guy. But in this instance he was being selfish and careless. And it's sad that anyone would accept that behaviour because "oh he's a man." He has a penis but he also has a brain. And he apparently chose to not let his penis control him while with Lisa, so we know it's something he was capable of controlling. This is the same mindset that leads to "well she was wearing a skirt in a dark alley, how could he not rape her" <.<

This is just my opinion, but I think TA having sex with a willing partner is a long shot from "she was wearing a skirt, how could he not rape her". The most obvious difference is consent. It was clear from the tape recording that JA knew TA wasn't going to marry her. He wasn't leading her on, he was indulging in a friends with benefits with someone who had sociopathic tendencies. Was he careless, perhaps, but mostly he was a victim.

I wonder if one of the questions was about this but it referenced the hearing or something and got thrown out. Anyway, I think it was a great thing that it wasn't asked about!

I do wonder why Nurmi didn't ask JA about it in his re-direct though. :waitasec:

I agree that it's not too hard to conclude that Travis had sex with Jodi on June 4th considering the pictures we have seen from that day, together with the many times that he got pulled back into her web after seeming to realize that she was really bad news.

He had a lot of difficulty breaking away from her -- that's how relationships go with these types of personality disordered individuals. They are masterful at sucking their target back in.

I also believe that when Travis wrote the stern messages on May 26 calling her a sociopath and evil and the worst thing that ever happened to him, he very much meant what he said. And it seems that he stuck to it for a few days because there was very little communication between them from May 26 until June 2 when Jodi started her murder trip.

I do not believe Travis knew that Jodi was coming to Mesa prior to her early-morning arrival ...even Jodi has had a hard time saying that Travis knew she was coming. But once she arrived, it seems Jodi somehow talked her way in and got him to relax and feel comfortable letting his guard down. This is not hard to believe since Jodi obviously was able to persuade Travis numerous times to ignore the warning signs and just go with the flow.

Jodi could have proposed one final romp in the hay for old time's sake before she embarked on this new relationship with Ryan; or she could have just asked to sleep before getting back on the road, then seduced him, or Travis could have been completely ready and willing, ignoring his own gut instincts about her because he really did not think he was in any danger ...I don't think most guys in that situation would have thought they were going to become a victim of a brutal homicide a couple of hours after having sex with an ex-girlfriend.

I don't think there was any good way to cover this up. For once, they didn't have a lie they thought could work. So they dropped it.

Uh .. I don't think the "pamphlet" story is true. I don't know that I would call it an addiction. He was inexperienced,she knew it and she used that to her advantage. I also think there was a little bit of "forbidden fruitcake" appeal for him.

I am just getting home for the day. And watch quick replay of the HLN shows. There has been no discussion As to the motions from yesterday? And the prosecution or defense compelling as far as information?!Why is that not being discussed on the TV shows?

Sorry I am late to the threads, but I just do not understand why no 1 has discussed the issue of getting a motion and compelling to get information from both sides!
