If anyone is actually friends with Kolker. .......Id suggest they direct him here for comment.

I hope people don't think I regard Hackett as a reliable source. He seems to have tenuous relationship with reality. Hell. not "seems". He has a tenuous relationship with reality.

However, given his delusions of grandeur AND his past employment history with the police I can easily see him asking for a traffic copter to do a flyover. Diaz says there was a copter and I believe it. Not teams of choppers. One single traffic copter doing a fly over as a courtesy.

This shouldn't be a big deal.

Just another thing I want public......in this case in particular. ..that has been in my opinion stuck for years, clouded with misinformation.

All this private PM crap is just that...if you cant post it.....then why private message it....I don't give a mooses arse what you say is going on behiñd the scenes. This case has dragged on far too long........if you have something of value share it....even better ...share it with ĺaw enforcement. ....dont ask me to keep quiet and expect a please ..?will do it....FFS

Over it...

Would posters be happier not knowing about recent developments? Maybe he or she is not allowed to tell all. Im as curious as everyone else. I'll take what I can get. Im glad to know its moving along.

Robert A. Traffic helicopter? A drone with a camera would have found Shannan. Sound silly? No sillier than a fire truck and bucket.

Robert, you said someone can drown while laying on their back. Would this have occured while she was napping?

As if Hackett would have been able to summon a drone.....please.

If Diaz is correct it would have been something readily available and already in the air.

This shouldn't be a contentious point.

Napping??

I take this case too seriously to make jest.

She'd have been unconscious.

If you examine the tides for the night in question, you will see she would have entered the marsh close to low tide. At high tide the water would have been high enough to drown someone that was on their back and unconscious.

Again, this should not be a contentious point. I am not saying that this is definitely what happened; simply that you cannot deduce from her remains being found face up that she was not a drowning victim. You just can't unless you ignore the tides.

Why make a complex and puzzling case even more complicated than necessary? Keep in mind that this all happened before the marsh's drainage system was addressed and the marsh drained.

How do you factor in that Baden said Shannan's hyoid bone was damaged ? That is not something that would be related to drowning but moreso indicative of strangulation.

Also Ray claimed in the press conference Shannan had a mark as if one of her bones had been drilled

Regarding all his talk about SG drowning....
Since I wasn't there, I can't say she did or didn't, however, I defy ANYONE to find and post an aerial photo of the area where SG was found with water deep enough to drown in, even if lying face down with lips on the ground. I know you can't because it takes a special kind of nor'easter or hurricane to fill that basin with that much water. Tides don't happen there. FACT.

And Baden ruled out animal scatter. The bone is small. An animal would have walked off with it. Not gently chew on two horns and gently leave the rest in place.

Wait what...I could have sworn you've been arguing that Shannan wasn't murdered all this time

Exacatly. The tide is not coming through the Community to reach the marsh.

I addressed that point in the Baltimore talk. There are also a few slides regarding the hyoid that you can download.

The hyoid bone is very very small and very very fragile. For one thing, it is absurd to suggest that it has been drilled into. Take a look at the slide showing a stick representing the location and size of the hyoid bone being held up to a person's throat and you will see the problem right away. It is about the size of a toothpick. A drill bit would have destroyed it.

That hole in SG's hyoid (if it exists) is almost certainly a wormhole. As for damage, it could easily have been damaged by an animal postmortem.

SillyBilly - is there a way for me to post a photo or two here? Thanks!

It doesn't come through the community. It fills because in its low points are below the water table. Think of it as a basin.

I realize that people here dismiss anything the police say as a lie, but why do you think the police refer to their being able to enter the marsh as hampered by the tide??

I think you have an incorrect view of the terrain.

Why do you think they drained the marsh in order to facilitate the search? Without proper drainage - which we know it didn't have at the time of SG's disappearance - the tides influence the water level. I am not suggesting it was a raging ocean in there. Just that there could easily have been enough water for someone face up or on their side for that matter to choke to death if they passed out in a low point of the basin.

The Suffolk County examiner didn't just postulate drowning as a cause of death because she hoped the case would go away. It was based on the conditions in that marsh.

Doesn't mean SG drowned. Just that you can't rule it out.

What I am most interested in right now is WAS SG PHONE HAND HELD BY SOMEONE ON MAY 3rd? Or did someone spoof her phone #? If so then how many people had her phone #?

The marsh is less than a block from the ocean. Its. A. Marsh. Are we still arguing if it was affected by tides? It absolutely was. Tides that affected search efforts for goodness sake.

Those were my sentiments early on. But he did the autopsy for free. Fame. He already has it.
