Yes. They are cracking down this year since so many people were just going there to party like it was spring break. Last year was a complete disaster. Was it State LE, SCPD, or Park PD?

this is interesting. Maybe police are looking into my tip seriously!! I highly doubt it but maybe it's true. My POI hangs out at Sore Thumb and the likes, a lot this time of year.

Threelittlebirdies, its my understanding a missing person report was filed in Jersey City. Shannas place of residence. SCPD showed up at Gus Colettis door in August. They said they just received the report. Maybe thats not true. Maybe they sat on that report for awhile before heading to OB. No way to know. Jersey City police would know.

This may be too far out there or far fetched but i was just thinking, do you think maybe police jumped the gun by arresting Sarra for Mari's death? I know there was an article written that stated that Sarra was in the house with Mari and there was blood on her clothing but what if there's more to the story?

Of all the victims' families, she was by far the most outspoken. She's also the one with the lawsuit against Hacket and at least from a civil standpoint, should she win, it would mean he's responsible for Shamnan's death. If most of us here agree that he played a role, or rather he was the main character, in her death, then that makes him a murderer. If he killed once, why not again. Through the lawsuit, I'm sure his own lawyer had to do an investigation, maybe he learned Sarra was mentally ill and somehow used that to his advantage by either framing her or offering her a very nice chunk of change.

I don't think the Gilbert household was a sound enviroment for those girls when they were growing up and they probably struggled l. Money does funny things to people. With Mari out of the picture and Sarra in jail, I assume the lawsuit is now dropped. Maybe I am wrong. I know it's very far fetched but you never know!

ETA: Mari's sister was also quoted saying there was no known issues between mother and daughter at the time.

Wow what an interesting theory! Maybe it wasn't Hackett but your POI who actually drove up to Ellenville and murdered Mari and framed her daughter!

Another poster provided me with information that on 5/3/10 Dr.Hackett did NOT call Mari Gilbert ! So who called Mari Gilbert and why? There is also information that on 5/3 a call went to Mari from SG's number when she was supposed to be dead on 5/1. I am only going on the information the call numbers was that of SG's phone.

Hackett's number was spoofed by some unknown caller.

I mentioned that MAYBE a call went from Shannan's phone to Mari's phone on 5/3. I thought I made it very clear the information I had so far was sketchy at best. I hear it and put it out there and offer nothing more than that.

John Ray said he wants to see the people involved in Shannans death and the deaths on the pkwy solved. He put an emphasis on the word people. More than one involved. I wonder if he believes these cases are seperate or not? Alot of phone games are played in both cases.

Look at the crazyness that surrounds this case. The feds should of been involved from the beginning. I wonder if they uncovered the recent developments?

This Is true! Like I said, "my theory was far fetched". This story already has the plot of a Hollywood movie, I was just thinking along those lines. All in all, it's just tragic.

There is TONS of stuff. Where do I start? <modsnip> Here's my logic, I have to put some faith in the police and hope they're doing their job somewhat and they've already looked into all of the possible suspects. Maybe it's someone who's totally unrelated to the case. Someone that no one knows. If so, this person has a lot of shady **** going on.

I don't really think that is the case but you never know. Last year was the worst I have ever seen it down there. Drunk driving, jumping dunes with trucks, idiots trying to drive 2wd cars in the sand, people stuck everywhere, litter, etc. People were complaining because we don't want to lose our access to these areas cause of careless people. I'm glad the police are checking everyone entering.

I doubt it's related but I'm sure 4 is thinking of the two guys from Howard Beach, one with big ears and the other scruffy guy who the police were going around showing photos of in the AC case. They even went to Lenny's Clam Bar looking for clues. Always felt there was a connection between Howard Beach and the LISK case. It's vlose to the dump site of Eve Brown and the others in thst graveyard. Wonder if LE knows who the guys are, did they have pictures or sketches? Are clams or seafood the connection between Gilgo, Howard Beach and Penn Station? a Raw Bar?
