Even as soon as he is discovered the 1st name brought up was JA.
She is sick, she is guilty and she justice needs to be served this time!

Dr. Drew just made an interesting comment, but I only caught the tail end of it. He said, "Watch her: she stops blinking."

Has anyone else noticed this? Is it during the interrogation or live in court where she's noticeably not blinking?

T.I.A.

Trying to make herself cry IMO

I just finished watching the 48 hours piece. HOLY Cripes! So many thoughts coming off that show; my mind is reeling. First off, thanks David Lohr for linking it for us! Second of all, I wonder why Det. Flores is so convinced Travis was shot first. Is it because of the partial truth she tells in her lies? Or is it because the small impact a gun of that caliber would have, that he would still be alive and moving? Or a combination of both?

Is it just me or does it seem like JA told ANYONE who would listen about her adventures in cell phone snooping? Why would she want to disclose this information to mutual friends, a new love interest? IMO, she did it for attention (what's new) and sympathy.

Seems to me he would/should have locked his phone when she was around.

I believe her story had some impact on that. I also just now finished watching and Thank You David .

I was trying to reply to a post in the other thread when my new computer decided to update/restart itself (grrr) but someone replied exactly as I was intending that the REBUTTAL case might be the most interesting part of these entire legal proceedings. I just wish the State could put on their own expert explaining to the jury the difference between an abuse victim and SOCIOPATHY.

In reading the court minutes last weekend I came across mention of a prosecution expert witness Dr. Janeen Demarte. Dr. Demarte is a clinical psychologist PhD who specializes in personality disorders, trauma and PTSD, and testing and evaluation of personality disorders. In the minutes was a discussion of Dr. Demarte having access to all of Alyce Laviolette (defense domestic violence expert witness) notes so I think the prosecution will use Dr. Demarte in their rebuttal case.

Here's a link to her advertisement in Psychology Today magazine that gives a little background on her practice: http://therapists.psychologytoday.com/rms/name/Janeen_DeMarte_PhD_Phoenix_Arizona_136525

Not worried at all about the State resting--they have her blood comingled with TA's, her print in his blood, the pics etc...The have proven she killed him...Now they can see what the defense presents and rebut it---the state has all kinds of info they haven't presented yet including testimony from travis's friends about the unreality of what Jody has said. The state has more ammo...but they can use it on rebuttal. Also if JA is going to claim self defense I don't see how she can avoid testifying....remember the MD's wfe she stabbed him---he was her psychiatrist and had an affair with her at a tender age---later married her and had 2 son's with her. Jury didn't buy her SD claims.

I just wanted to comment on the topic of RO's that was in the last thread. R/O's are EXTREMELY easy to get in AZ. At least temporarily. After a hearing it might be lifted, but you can get a temporary order pending that hearing just by walking in and filling out a form stating allegations of some type of abuse, and get an ex parte hearing the same day -- sometimes within an hour or less. They are routinely granted on a temporary basis. There's a whole area of the court set up specifically for this process. The form can be filled out at a bank of computers. There are even toys for the children accompanying their parents to play with.

Problem is nobody SAW Jodi slash Travis' tires. So for him to go the police and request a RO based on suspicion is difficult.

Regarding having her family testify. They can indeed still testify about what they saw in terms of Jodi and the "alleged" abuse by Travis. That would not be at all considered hearsay.

Have we even heard if any of her family ever met Travis or even saw the two of them together?

I think she went there with the weapons. I think she thought she could 'persuade' him to change his mind about taking her on the trip. When he didn't... in her mind she probably thought he deserved it in a way. Waited for the shower, asked him if she could take some pics to remember him by, then struck. She was dressed and ready... he was not.

Yep. I think she went there hoping for the best, but prepared for the worst.

Vinnie on IS is asking you to text him about your views on the statement "Jodi A. was a normal girl from California".

I don't see him getting shot first.

For one thing there is not much blood from that wound and he would have been incapacitated. Why so much blood in the bathroom and down the hall?

You can tell the blood from the head wound just went straight down his face.

Why 29 stab wound on head, back, neck, front, etc if already shot in the head?

Some of the wounds look like he was moving, others are packed together.

The gunshot path looks to me to be from someone standing over a prone body. It goes from the top of the head downward. No way he could have been standing in the shower and got shot there.

Apparently Jodi did take a polygraph and the results were either inconclusive or she passed. The defense has moved for the admission of polygraph results during the penalty phase if she is convicted. I believe their request was denied.

:thud:

I think I would reach my character limit if I even tried to respond to that

12 day break? I really hope the jurors stick to the rules. Dont give the defense any reason to have a mistrial declared.

I thought it receded to her observance of last witness. She really stared hard. I could be wrong.

Is Vinnie fishing for extra followers? Trying to catch Dr Drew.
