I'm with you. There are quite a few of us. We had a huge debate a few nights ago, and there are quite a few of us. We may be the minority though. Would love a poll on this.

Yeah, but it quite difficult to pick and choose what a pathological liar is telling the truth about.

If a person lies about everything, would they tell the truth about one of the most important pieces of evidence? Or would she deflect from what was true?

Would love for a legal eagle to weigh in on this. Is there any chance that a guilty verdict could be appealed based on the long break in the trial, and with the jury not sequestered? Is that a valid area for appeal? If so, I suspect there would have to be some kind of admission or evidence of the jurors misconduct as to the admonition to stay away from trial coverage or discussion.

If a juror admitted they saw or heard something, would they be replaced with an alternate? Or is there some leeway by the judge as to finding out what they heard or saw, before being excused?

I'm concerned the long break may precipitate a mistrial. Is this common in high profile or Los profile murder cases? I haven't heard of more than a day or 2 break before.

This would not be grounds for appeal because the defense has not objected to the long break in any way. If it is later discovered that a juror was exposed to media about the case during the break, they would be replaced by an alternate.

It is assumed that the jury will, in fact, follow the admonitions, and I believe they will take that duty seriously. They have sat through this trial and know the gravity of a death penalty case. I do not think the jurors will jeopardize that. If one of them does, there's a remedy for that.

Just saw a segment on Nancy Grace where she established the fact that TA was not going to cancun with a new partner it was merely a female friend, and would this fact have changed JA's mind?

I think it would depend on what the juror admitted to hearing/seeing, the judge can use discretion in determining whether that juror's objectivity has been tainted by whatever they saw/heard. If the judge determines juror misconduct, the alternate would take his/her place.

IMO, the worst thing that could happen is if one juror obtained outside information and discussed this information with the other jurors during deliberations. Of course, maybe no one would ever know. But that's assuming all the jurors are in agreement not to disclose the outside information. If one juror tattled, I would think the judge would have no choice but to immediately declare a mistrial. :banghead:

That's true, but I wonder about all the wounds and all the blood down the hallway. Could he have made it after a head shot? It sure looks to me like he was shot right there in the shower after she got him back in there.

The odds of him making it were slim to none. IMO based on that neuro link I posted earlier. The neuro doc studied people that survived a gunshot to the frontal lobe.

Finding comfort in the fact that jurors know Jodi's blood and palm print are iron-clad evidence. Pics of her foot near bloody Travis, gosh, those pics show she was right there. Will they entertain the idea she was abused? Uncomfortable about the knife and gun not being found. Will jurors believe the stolen gun report is good enough?

Of course, I'm worried jurors might not think at all like me. I think she is all ways Guilty.

Honestly, I don't believe it was the Cancun trip. It was something that would matter to only a psychopath. Was she angry that she still had to pay Travis for the BMW she couldn't even drive? Was it the last WAY he told her he didn't want to see her any more? (with his friend in the next room) psychopaths don't take lightly to put downs in front of an audience. IMO

I do. One of the guys on tv last night said she knew in April that she was not invited. I think the car pmts pissed her off too tho. That's 2 months of fury right there.
It just seems to me that the visit, sex, etc was trying to persuade. If it didn't work, she was ready. I don't feel like she thought she was out of the picture. Would she cruel enough for one last romp, then a kill? Or did she give him a chance to change his mind?

I'd say NO! I think ANY female Travis got within ten feet of, Jodi would be jealous of.

I don't think in Jodi's mind it would matter weather it was a female friend or a new girlfriend, the fact that he was not taking her to Cancun is what set her off.

I never believe a single word that comes out of a known liars mouth. I'm not just talking about murder defendants either. I need proof.

My two possible theories on the first accidental ceiling shot 44 seconds after the last shower pic:

1. Travis was fed up and knocked the camera from Jodi -- at which point, she grabbed the gun from her jacket pocket and shot him, or reached for the knife on the counter and stabbed him in the heart.

OR

2. Travis had started to stand from his sitting position in the shower, and Jodie quickly struck (with gun or knife, I don't know) to prevent him from standing and getting into a less vulnerable position. Having to react quickly, she dropped the camera mid-snap and grabbed her weapon.

Either way, it's not self defense, especially since she didn't stop with the first attack (whether stabbing or shooting).

Dr. Drew just made an interesting comment, but I only caught the tail end of it. He said, "Watch her: she stops blinking."

Has anyone else noticed this? Is it during the interrogation or live in court where she's noticeably not blinking? T.I.A.
Dr Drew was referring to Jodi's demeanor while her friend (don't know her name) was testifying. They showed a split screen of the friend testifying and of Jodi reacting to her.

I'm thinking so too

I mentioned one of the last pics earlier of just his head while showering. His eyes look dark and upset to me. Something about it.

Now I'm going to have to actually work at work :( (at least until January 29th)

Psychopaths are very hedonistic, if she wanted to have sex, IMO it wasn't for intimacy it was only because she enjoys sex. I think she made up her mind and was going to kill him either way. JMO she went through an awful lot of trouble and expense for someone considering that hasn't made up her mind yet.

I agree. I hate to judge a photograph ...but it looks like confusion & a little bit of fear on his face

Very well could be, it's really sad that we will never know.
