And another thing... how do you kill somebody humanely anyway???

  • #122
Right, but why not just kill him when he let her in?

JMO, but what if he flat came out and said I changed my mind and decided to take you on the trip?

Do you think she would have killed him anyway?

She was horny?

I don't know, he very well may have lived. Maybe it was all over the Cancun trip. I just believe the way her mind works ...its not a reason we can point to so easily. Cancun almost makes sense, ykwim? But she doesn't think like the rest of us, her mind doesn't process things the way we do.

If Cancun makes sense to us, we're not thinking like a psychopath.

Haha... that is the tricky part for us. Good point.

I'd like to see a poll addressing how many people shower with a camera, knife, and/or gun handy.

Normally I stick with shampoo, conditioner, and a loofah. That's just me.

And I typically don't hide pens in the shampoo! Lol

Well, if he hadn't been shot with a .25 caliber gun... would any premeditation be so evident?

Still have hair dye,
lies at the car rental,
wanted a white car
Knife and gun handy in bathroom
Lies to the guy she was humping on right after...she made him her alibi& set up prior to murder

I would love to see a poll on the sequence of events.

I would love u long time....lol

here it is:

Back to the Defense's case - premeditated?

You can argue the hairdye was to "spice up her hope to lure him to sex"
You can argue the photos were a "normal event"
You can argue that she was dressed while he was in the shower because she simply got dressed first

I can't 'splain away:
her insistence on the white rental car
the front plate being removed and the back one upside down
the coincidence of her GPs gun being stolen just before this trip
the lack of her ever acknowledging that she did it in a moment of passion/emotion etc

ETA Wasn't it testified to the fact that she was blonde when she rented and when she returned the rental car. A brunette at Travis house... hmmm!

I think you may have to move the argument for the hair dye being to "spice up her hope to lure him to sex" to the other category of the things you can't 'splain away considering the fact that by the time she reached Travis house for the sex pictures she was a brunette again!

I said the same thing yesterday. All of the shower pics are taken with the flash off, until that one. I think that's when he finally realized she was there taking them. I think it startled him. It would sure scare the bejeepers out of me if she snuck up on me with a camera. I think a lot of things she did creeped him out (and maybe disgusted him as well). :cold:

I agree

That's funny, I actually have a couple of knives in my bathroom, I collect knives, but I'm not homicidal, nor do I fear anyone is going to attack me. No cameras (ick!) or guns...

I think many of us are trying to understand any aspect of JA & TA's relationship, while some parts seem almost normal, the rest (& certainly the outcome) are incredible...he seems like such a sweet guy, & I think he would be horribly embarrassed by the things that are coming out in this trial (& I am not judging him at all for his sexual activities, I think that was quite normal). I have a lot of sympathy for his family & friends, this must be difficult for them...

I don't see him getting shot first.

For one thing there is not much blood from that wound and he would have been incapacitated. Why so much blood in the bathroom and down the hall?

You can tell the blood from the head wound just went straight down his face.

Why 29 stab wound on head, back, neck, front, etc if already shot in the head?

Some of the wounds look like he was moving, others are packed together.

The gunshot path looks to me to be from someone standing over a prone body. It goes from the top of the head downward. No way he could have been standing in the shower and got shot there.

Hi, DGFred. I agree with you. At first, I was adamant that the shot was fired first; it be logical (as even Jodi seemed to realize in her jailhouse interrogation) and simpler. That said, I became convinced by the forensics that the protracted knife attack and throat slashing occurred first. I suspect that Jodi's choice of weapons had something to do with her relative unfamiliarity with firearms. If she tried out the gun somewhere previous to the attack, she might have discovered that in the hands of a novice, it's not a surefire success. But she had brought it and when Travis was lying helpless on the ground, gurgling and in his death throes, she used it.

Good point, and I had not even caught that.

So she was blond when she rented the car. Brunette when she got to Travis' house, brunette when she was with Ryan and blond again when she returned the rental car.

I agree, this is very strong evidence of premeditation - attempts to escape recognition while at Travis' house in case neighbors or roommates happened to see a brunette driving a Ford Focus.

I feel the same. I certainly hope the religious aspect doesn't connect any sort of shame with his passing for his family. IMO he was a wonderful guy.

I feel bad that his last and maybe only sexual partner was the 3 hole wonder.

Hi, Bravo. You might be right about the flash alerting him to her project, although I suspect that she was posing him. He has something close to that look in other photographs that I have seen.

Sad part is the really ugly that will said about Travis is yet to come. I feel for his Family and Friends. Especially his Sisters who have been visibly upset in the Courtroom. Gonna be tough for them :rose:

Not worried at all about the State resting--they have her blood comingled with TA's, her print in his blood, the pics etc...The have proven she killed him...Now they can see what the defense presents and rebut it---the state has all kinds of info they haven't presented yet including testimony from travis's friends about the unreality of what Jody has said. The state has more ammo...but they can use it on rebuttal. Also if JA is going to claim self defense I don't see how she can avoid testifying....remember the MD's wfe she stabbed him---he was her psychiatrist and had an affair with her at a tender age---later married her and had 2 son's with her. Jury didn't buy her SD claims.

Susan Polk. That woman was a nutcase! And since she represented herself she cross examined her own son who testified against her. It was a brutal case.

Well you're not living life to its fullest then!
Time to start multi-tasking!

Have we even heard if any of her family ever met Travis or even saw the two of them together?

Not sure. But all the would have to do is testify about Jodi's emotions, her physical appearance. The have quite a bit of latitude to what they could testify about.

Some people want a certain color car for other reasons.

Hair dye? That could be many reasons. Who wasn't going to recognize her?

We don't know where the weapons were. Say he slapped her... then she goes and gets one. Then attacks.

Of course she is going to lie... she didn't have any other options but to call the authorities IMO.

Seems if you take out the stolen gun... things are not so clear cut.

I think she did it because she knew Mimi was a brunette.
