I think it is important to not be in denial.

I did not follow the CA case because the minute it was in the paper that a toddler had been missing for 30 days, I knew the mother had done it and the grandparents were crazy.

So no matter how incredible the situation is and how crazy the lies, we know for a fact nothing is for sure with a jury.

Now whatever reason the attorney is DP qualified and it may be for deeply held religious reasons, she will do her best for JA.

Now I cannot see what that may be as it is clearly premeditated because of all of her planning. Though with the hair she could say TA liked it that color. Dark.

I think because of all of the time that elapsed, his fate was not totally sealed. I think he could have redeemed himself. But something happened in the last ? Time period that sealed his fate.

Could it be that he told her to take her stuff and never come back? Or could it be that he told her he was looking for a wife and FOR SURE it is not you?

It was something that went down that was to her the sign that he was worthy of dying .

:welcome: Side_eye_Syd, we are so glad you decided to join us!! :) :goodpost:

Is it just me or does anyone else think that the Prosecutor should have called more witnesses (roommates) etc, and made more of his case?

I think it is severely lacking. I have a feeling the DA is going to pull a firework display of monolithic proportions out of his 🤬🤬🤬 and the Prosecutor's case is going to pale in comparison.

I have a very very bad gut feeling that miss sunshine is going to get a lesser sentence or be acquitted.

If this girl walks free like CA I am going to be so very angry.

It has crossed my mind.... especially with the CA movie that came on last night (in which I was unable to watch) that maybe Martinez learned something from that case... Keep it simple... stick to the facts (that can't be disputed) There was so many different people in the CA trial it was hard to remember who was who. I'm all for the firework display! Bring it on! It seems like such a loooooong time til court is back in session...

No no an ex said that her finger was permanently damage after TA broke it..i was not talking about the cuts

She stated to the Detective (in the 2nd interview video) that she received cuts to her fingers and her one finger will not bend anymore because of the attack on her by ninja lady..I would only, and like to, believe that TA was the one who broke it only while trying to defend his own life in between stabs from the psycho. I am more inclined to think she damaged it by the shear force of her holding and pounding that knife into him. When did she tell a friend about TA being the one who broke it? Before or after his murder?

Yes she dyed it between the car rental and Travis' bed.

Not sure who brought up the possibility of her driving back home.. I hadnt thought about that... seems possible she could have picked up the rental... swung back by the house.. picked up the gun... dyed her hair and onto TA's house for the ninja party. I'd be willing to bet she looked around as she was leaving her house thinking how smart she was that no one really noticed her...

IMO even if on juror believes this began in self defense (which I do not) it didn't end in self defense. It was premeditated murder filled with rage!
The slashed tires should have been a HUGE red flag that this gal will commit criminal acts, is not in her right mind and capable of harming another. I wonder if there is any other history that hasn't been discovered. Creepy!

Right. Yet I didn't see or read about any evidence of that being obtained or presented. Did I miss it? The only thing I've read was that none of the knives at Travis's house appeared to be missing from set and that there were knives in the dishwasher. I read that here, though, and didn't see it presented in court.

I do believe a pocket knife (similar to the one pictured on this thread) or one as Ocean described would be the weapon rather than a kitchen knife, unless it was a heavy-duty one, which I have not seen with an approximately 4" blade. The ME not being able to discern whether the wounds were inflicted by a left or right handed person also goes to the type of knife used.

MOO

This could be the type of knife used. Very sharp and durable yet foldable. Would slash tires and used as a weapon.

Oh Lordy my hubby has that very knife I think, lol.

What do we know about the knife? Length, width of blade, smooth or serrated, anything?

This is where I think I differ from most here. I feel her intent was to murder him that day, period. There were no second chances, no changing his mind. She simply enjoyed a last fling with him and then did what she came to do. Much like when my ex was strangling me, banging my head on the ground while telling me "tell me you love me!", over and over. I refused to say it because I knew he was going to kill me no matter what I said. Lucky for me that someone came along after I had passed out, but not yet dead, and chased him off. Travis didn't have the same luck unfortunately. jmo

Travis, broke her finger, and, she never reported it. An ex of her told that...it was BEFORE the murder...

Where did this information come from? TIA

so he beat her up and all she has to show for it is a broken FINGER??? where's her broken nose? her split lip? her black eye? or did TA employ the soap in a sock technique on her 'arms, legs, and torso' and just manage to break her finger?

:waitasec:

remember when she showed up in utah wearing a long sleeved shirt? those people thought that was odd. i guess it was to cover up her 'feral cat' injuries.

I know I have heard this, but... did anyone testify that she was wearing long sleeves? Ryan? or Lisa (? I think that is her name, the last one to testify) I know Ryan testified about her 6 pack ( :floorlaugh: ), and a cut on her hand, but I don't remember anything about her arms.

Did the DT commission a private autopsy? TIA

Not sure specifically about a private autopsy but in one of the Minute Entries from last year a Defendant's Investigator was in court and questioned on the record, so we may be hearing from him.

somebody here posted recently that 'she had to kill him so she could move on.' i thought that was so perfect. she couldn't take it.

he was seeing other women, planning trips with them, etc. she couldn't control him and she couldn't make him see SHE was the one for him. as long as he was out there and alive, it was just going to consume her so like the good little psychopath she is, she decided to eliminate the problem.

It is Jeff Daniel's theatre and is totally awesome!!!! I just saw his latest piece last week.

The theatre is named the purple rose after his role in "the purple rose of cairo".

Very cool theatre if you are ever in the area.

(sorry for the off topic hahaha)

I sure hope I will feel good about the justice system when this trial is all over.

I will never be able to have certainty in my feelings after the CA verdict.
(that and OJ forever changed me)

here is another funny hahahaha thing I thought of this morning:

1) glove was too small for OJ (right)
2) Arias claims one pair of her matching murder pants were TOO SMALL (right)

bbm

Well, Nurse, you know what they say -- this or something like it, anyway:

"Birds of a feather lie together"

and take the "lie" any way you want...

BTW - I think Jeff Daniels is amazing!

I wonder if any of the kitchen knives at Casa Ramos went missing?
Since she was hacking into his emails, she knew he was going to Cancun the next day with another female. IMO, she brought the knife with her just like she brought the gun because she was going to kill him if he didn't cancel his Cancun vacation.
