I am re-watching the cross of ME, and it occurs to me that the sequence of the wounds is very important to them. I believe they already know the sequence, and are going to use that (either by Jodi's testimony, or in their closing) to bolster their self defense claim. Since we are only making an educated guess to try to figure that out, they have the upper hand in that area. I don't think it has anything to do with the cruelty factor, and what would it have to do with the premeditation?
Why would the defense go to so much trouble in their cross since they acknowledge her guilt? I think they are trying to tailor the testimony to the scenario she has given them - or in the alternative, at least the story they believe will (weather from her or not) will bolster self defense.

I think they're going to claim he had her pinned to the floor and she reached around him to stab him in the back.

I haven't read all the posts and this has probably been hashed out before by our astute websleuthers but I found it odd that no soap or shampoo is being used the whole time. Also, that he is leaning alot throughout, up against the wall, until he sits down at the end.

not sure if it has been brought up but do others see on very last picture what appears as maybe travis on a sheet being dragged down the hall.

Um. Wow!

Good post. It never occurred to me that there was no soap, shampoo, loofah, nothing in at least the 8 mins of photos we have seen of TA in the shower.

Very interesting!

I am still confused about TA *sitting* in the bottom of the shower stall. Why in the world would he sit in the shower and not just take a bath...

That and the last picture of him alive - looking through the shower door glass and the look on his face....SIGH

Aimee,
I still cannot see that in the last pic. If that shiny part is glare, I hope they will use a matt finish in the photos in the future.
I remember hearing Juan complaining about the glare, too.

I think because she was so obsessed with Travis that she spent as much time with him as she could that last day. jmo

The pictures of him on the bed appear to have been taken from the chair beside the bed. Could it be that he went upstairs to lie down and she came into the house and sat in the chair waiting for him to wake up? She may have taken the pictures of herself when he went into the bathroom because they are not candid shots, she is posing. It was his camera so I doubt he would have left those pictures on there for someone to find so I believe he could have deleted them. She may not have liked that. The rest of the afternoon they could have been discussing the relationship or just sleeping.

I think at 4pm when he went to his office to send that email off to his friend he may have thought she left. Maybe he told her she had to leave then because he had to get some of his business papers together for his conference call that evening. This is why she would have been dressed. Coming in later and hearing him in the shower she may have felt was a perfect chance to catch him off guard. In one of the pictures, which is very dark, you can see a look of surprise on his face while he is looking at the camera. Just a guess, but it could have happened this way. Bet the state knows exactly how it happened. jmo

For the life of me I can't figure out what that is in that photograph.

Sadly, the only person on the planet that knows exactly how this all went down and why is a lying, murdering psychopath.

Beth Karas just announced on InSession that the judge has denied the defense motions:

1. For mistrial due to prosecutorial misconduct.

2. To toss out Felony Murder

We are good to go on those!

I am secretly hoping that was his plan.

Don't they have to prove that with her testimony? They can say it could have happened this way but that is not proof. The only person who can truly say what happened is Jodi because she was there. Defense attorneys can't testify. They can't say Jodi said this, they have to prove it, correct?

Burden of proof is all on the prosecutors.

She gets the presumption of innocence.

Defenses job is to manufacture reasonable doubt.

Vinnie just said a reported (recently, I believe) just walked right in the jail, and interviewed Jodi for 45 min - off the record.
He was convinced of her story, but will not publish.

Arias case: Menacing email invoked God
updated 7:50 AM EST, Thu January 24, 2013
http://www.hlntv.com/article/2013/01/23/woman-arias-invoked-god-nasty-email-me

Article includes link to Det. Flores' investigation report:
http://grahamwinch.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/floresinvestigationreport.pdf

Reading Flores' report -- thanks so much for posting that!

Items of interest upon first reading:

1. Seems both roommates were home when Travis was discovered

2. One roommate was aware of several fights between Jodi and Travis, including confrontations about Jodi showing up and hanging out at the house when she wasn't invited

3. Lisa and Travis broke up because of Jodi issues. She said until he handled the Jodi situation they could only be friends

4. Mimi knew practically nothing about Jodi

5. There was cast off blood spatter from floor to ceiling in the bathroom

6. Jodi sent an email to Travis on 6-7-08 (three days after murdering him) asking if she could stay in his house while he was in Cancun, but he didn't respond

7. Weird anonymous tip to investigate "Dustin Thompson" -- traced to his soon to be ex-wife's cell phone.

.8. Jodi refused the initial request for a face to face police interview and said she wanted to talk to an attorney first --called Flores back a few days later and said she wanted to give a statement without attorney

9. The deleted pics were travis in the shower. The unallocated pics were the nude pics, 6 of Jodi, 2 of Travis -- doesnt say whether they were deleted or not

Cinched up bloody towel filled with socks and other items later found in washer?
