I completely agree with this, as much as I hate to criticize the prosecution. Like I said, Flores, Melendez and Horn all seemed overly willing to answer what the prosecution wanted to hear.

I thought Flores was pretty good but seemed bored. And I am not entirely satisfied with the explanation about the contradictory testimonies about the sequence.

Horns testimony seems to be a little off from his report that was made at the time of the autopsy.

Melendez was practically leaping in with answers he thought the prosecutor wanted. At one point, Melendez said a time stamp was 5:30:12 and Juan asked if it wasn't something else and Melendez quickly changed his answer to what he thought Juan wanted. Turns outhit original answer was correct but Juan got mixed up on which pic they were looking at. So then Juan had to go back and correct Melendez' testimony to restore his original answer. That bugged me!

Also, as I've said before, I think it gives the wrong feeling for Flores to be sitting at counsel table like he's an advocate for the prosecution. It might subconsciously plant an idea with the jurors that Florss' testimony is going to be biased for the prosecution and should be discounted or questioned.

There is so much evidence against Jodi that none of these things is necessary to assure a conviction on the plain evidence.

The primary investigator in an investigation is part of the State's team. Flores did the investigation. Flores was also up and down a number of times because of the interviews that were played and the phone conversations that were recorded. That being said he was entitled to sit with the prosecutor. I don't think defense liked it at all but it is often done and the judge had no problem with it or Flores would have been asked to step outside.

There is a fear that a witness' testimony could be tainted/changed by those testifying before them so that is why they have to stay outside the courtroom before testifying. However investigators are not influenced by witnesses because they have already given their reports, done their investigation, etc. I believe Flores was only sitting there while Martinez planned on calling him back to the stand. I did not see him there the whole time. And I really do not think Det. Flores wanted to sit with defense, nor did they want him there.

Detectives can't afford to be objective. It's not their job. They are not suppose to accept things on face value. They have to dig, follow that gut feeling, lie to the suspect to trick them into revealing condeming information. They are not there to find a person innocent. They are investigating to find out if they are guilty of a crime. It's up to them to put it all together for the prosecutor to file charges against the suspect. jmo

I do because the only print found was the palm print on the wall. I think while killing him she didn't have gloves, but during the clean-up she did.

MOO, IMHO, etc. :)

It's been four years since the murder.... has anybody else wondered if any of Travis friends have ever done search parties along the roads leading to the desert to see if they could find the weapons and her bloody clothes? I know if Travis had been my bother I would have had search parties on Saturday or Sunday afternoons just LOOKING everywhere for those murder weapons. She couldnt have hidden them or got rid of them too far off of the road. I just have a feeling they are out there... just waiting to be found.

OMG Laceybug...you are reading my mind. I was in Mesa yesterday and was wondering what route she took, what desert she "drove and drove and drove" in and just where those discarded items are. They are out there.

Vinnie just said a reported (recently, I believe) just walked right in the jail, and interviewed Jodi for 45 min - off the record.
He was convinced of her story, but will not publish.

Seems pretty arrogant of him....considering she is currently on trial. He sure was swayed to her side rather quickly... if she can convince a roving reporter... wonder if she will think she can convince a jury? I can see her taking the stand... I really hope that she does.

Murder is by far the worst. You can never right that wrong.

PS - Premarital sex is not a sin at all - it's not even a crime.

Psssst tell the Catholics.

In my experience, young people have lost the ability to connect dots and think for themselves. They are trained to be sheep. When they do try and think for themselves they seem to believe they are smarter or equal to the experts. Im not just talking about trials. Maybe it was all that....everyone gets a trophy... Nonsense? I dunno.

Seniors may forget, but they seem to have a whole lot of common sense and are more than capable of seeing the forest through the trees.

I would hope that anyone with memory, eyeslight, hearing problems, etc. would have been all ruled out voir dire. jmo

Me too. I'll line up to see that debacle...esp the cross examination. I think Troy Hayden was as much excited that he got that "get" in terms of getting inside the jail, getting her to talk to him at all, getting shots of her cell, all those tidbits from her jailbird friends, etc. I think he got all caught up in that. But if I see him in court next week I'm not above asking him...I sat right by him last time and rode up the elevator with him (big deal). But I'd be happy to inquire what he really thinks about that whole deal....and report back here of course. :slap: (just doing that symbolically and getting it off my chest in advance).

I think he is thinking ahead of that after trial interview he'll be able to get with her now once he has made this initial contact. It very well be a smart move on his part to get on the good side of her. Sort of tit for tat. lol

Don't know if this man is married but I could see his wife waiting for him when he arrived home and throwing a bucket of cold water on him while asking him....."are you crazy?" jmo

I really hope that she does.

If she does, I think she will do well, not like the detective Flores interviews, I think council along with four years will help her, I know we would all love to see her crack up, confess, get all bent out of shape but I would not think she will do any of those.

Personally, I'd love to spend an hour with her chatting about her defense strategy.

Psssst tell the Catholics.

Arghhh. Is this entrapment? I'm not gonna put forth any of my ideas about Catholics and their notions of sin.

No banning for me.

call me crazy, but I dont think he knew she was taking pics untill the 11th picture in the series posted by Harmony2.... timed at 5:27:16

they dont look posed to me AT ALL. Looks lieka guy enjoying a shower and minding his own until he sees her with the camera. I think maybe, just maybe at that point he knew something wasnt right..... Poor Travis.

I SO AGREE with you on this, and have been saying it since I first saw those pics in the shower. I don't think he knew she was there until his face turns toward the door and he spots her. The last two pictures after that, the head shot and body shot sitting in the shower, have more going on in them than they appear IMO.

I think at that point he knew what was coming. I think it all started right there at that point in time. There had to be more than one minute to this crime. Has anyone tried to recreate the sequence to see if it's humanly possible to attack, continually stab, slit the throat of and then start dragging the victim in only one minute? (My hubby put his foot down on anymore recreations after the dragging after the shower thing. It creeps him out LoL.)

Harmony's timeline of the photos really drove that home for me. It was only ONE MINUTE between the ceiling shot and the shot of her dragging the body. I just can't see how all that could have been done in that short of time frame.

I did note he was wearing a wedding ring. Yeah, I did go there. lol He's super attractive in person. Movie star attractive. But now he's kind of lost his lustre. ;)

They show Travis sister Tonisha quite a bit who has very long straight hair black with blond streaks. She usually has a look on her face of extreme pain. She's probably early 30's?

Jodi's Mom looks middle aged, shorter wavy hair..glasses?

Just to add about Tonisha...I sat directly behind her the day I went to court. She's very pretty in person. She looks a lot like Travis. Her husband is extremely attentive to her in court. She smiled at me when i took my seat which made me feel good..that she could still smile.

That poor family has been to hell and back. I'm afraid it's going to get much worse when the defense puts its case on.
My heart breaks for them.
