In the picture that I saw, Travis had already been removed from the shower. There was quite a bit of blood around the drain in the shower and there was a cup just laying there on the shower floor.

I have not been able to find the picture yet. I thought it was a photo bucket link that I had clicked on from another poster. I will post it if I find it.

I have it and can upload and post if if you like.

I know. I am with you. Everytime I think of this case, I get a bad feeling about the verdict.

Me too, but I think it's because I felt a bit pistol whipped with the outcome of a couple of highly publicized cases.
Let's wait to hear what the defense puts up and how martinez handles cross. I think that will help us to understand what the jury is concluding. The next couple of weeks should be interesting. I am very hopeful that the truths of this nice normal good conscience quality young man will be made obvious and that Jodi's manipulative, insecure, deceitful, narcissistic, psychotic, murderous personality will also be made obvious for all the jurors.
Mo
Now I'm going to have a glass of wine.

Thanks. Next to the glass, on the left as you look, what is that? I am on a small phone screen but it looks like possibly a handle of a small knife. What do you think that is?

I've worked with thousands (yes, literally) of lawyers over the years and I've seen no such "blue line" mentality. But as in any industry, competitors may become friends and/or people may be reluctant to get a reputation as a troublemaker, especially over minor infractions.

But judges understand that defendants have a right to choose their own representation and so judges are apt to give that representative some leeway. (The people's representatives are given some leeway as well, but special care is made to preserve the rights of individuals faced with the power of the government.)

It used to be considered "common knowledge" that a lawyer had better follow through on any promises he made during opening statements or expect the jury to disbelieve him entirely. Why the Orlando jury overlooked Baez' opening promises, I don't know.

Hey Nova - You seem to have a lot of knowledge about the legal community, so I appreciate your insight. What about at the bar level though? Who sits on the bar and decides whether or not to act on a complaint against a lawyer? Sorry, I should have been clearer.

Did Baez get a pass because the judicial system didn't pursue it, or did the bar investigate and award him that pass? He was threatened by Judge Perry with contempt, and IMO that should have been followed through on. And then there was the alleged witness tampering (the TE volunteer), and the Dominique Casey testimony about who should or shouldn't be notified if Caylee's remains were found. It went way beyond his opening promises.

If JA's lawyer is in any way found incompetent and she gets a mistrial, then I think the various bars need to take a closer look at who they allow to practice. This is an important case, and it shouldn't be a total waste just because this particular DT seems to be disinterested. Again MOO.

Maybe. The handle (?) is very slender. Barber razor?
Toothbrush?

the barber razor sees consistent with the throat. HOWEVER the prosecution
would have noticed it gone and tied it to the case I would think.

the defense would use that as well though if I am right. They would not have said that Travis had cut the rope with a knife. They would have said she desperately had to grab the razor to defend herself.
