Character assassination: When one deliberately and maliciously stabs another 29 times, shoots him in the head, nearly decapitates him; lies to his beloved friends and family about her own involvement; has the cold audacity to send flowers to the woman who raised Travis after she brutally stole him from her (irises, because Travis wanted to name a future daughter Iris.); and forges letters to submit to the court in order to denigrate, demean, and further deface her victim.

JMO, I don't really need to hear what kind of sex Travis had with Jodi to determine she killed him for no good reason. Since when is anal sex a reason to stalk someone then kill them? :sheesh:

Kind of odd that a saint-like guy who's afraid of a chick, wants nothing to do with her, and trashes her in front of his friends, would have sex (much less anal sex) with this chick, isn't it?

It may go to show that she wasn't really as stalky as he made her out to be. And if she really wasn't, and he was talking about her in extremely negative lights to his friends while continuing to see her on the side... The case for abuse might start to present itself.

If there were still outstanding issues, then the trial should not have started. These types of things should have been resolved by now. Any new motions by the defense should be either denied or allowed by the jduge within 1 day of pondering over the motion. Calling witnesses is crazy to argue a motion.

This is crazy and I think the judge has not done her homework on what has happened for the past 3 years.

And you'd rather have her get a mistrial on appeal?

IMO the Judge is hearing every motion to cover her own butt in the event of an Appeal upon a conviction. Seems to me it's a very fine line out there re: appellate court and in my mind she doesn't want to be the one to blow it years later. The courtroom is an entirely different place in the "real world" and nothing like the tv's and movie's we all see portray it to be. Believe you me, all the proper protocol is a majorly time consuming pain in the butt!! You just have to sit back and hope it was worth it!!

I am not pro Jodi or anti Travis. I am just saying that there is something more to this story. I think we will hear it from the defense.

oh you bet we will. but one thing to remember: she DID kill him. she admits that---finally. question is, was it self defense?

The only person that said they had anal sex is Jodi through her DT's opening statements. Who cares what they did in bed anyway?

Travis can be a "good person" and also sin in the eyes of his church by having premarital sex.

Per David Hughes interview on In Session this morning, Jodi visited Searcy in LA on June 3rd, 2008, just before leaving for TA’s house. Don't know if it's true, but that's what the brother of Chris Hughes said.

GS' calendar claims he was in Santa Cruz on 6/2 at a conference which started at 7pm. JA was in Lodi, CA which is 2 hours away when she stopped for gas and something to eat. JA claims to have seen a friend in Santa Cruz on 6/21On 6/3 she was in Pasadena at 8:41pm at Starbucks. It's a six plus hour trip to Mesa, AZ. If she arrived around 4am when did she have time for a side trip to Yorda Linda on 6/3??????? So someone is lying. jmo

I don't consider it "Jodi bashing" when this individual is an accomplished, unwavering liar who slaughtered a naked man in his own home in his own shower. I've listened to her own words for far too long through numerous story changes and interrogations over months and years. Eventually she got herself some lawyers who couldn't recuse themselves from working on her case and they landed on the only defense that she hadn't already used herself, so SELF DEFENSE it was. I know I'm not the only one here who doesn't solely rely on the media, I've seen more than my share of court documents and accounts that won't even make it into trial as the defense has fought to keep out because they will damn their client right to a guilty verdict.

I'm not sure what the "Travis train" is, but while I don't find the need to canonize a murder victim, I don't find it necessary to deem someone creepy and such because in their personal life, he (a 30 year old single man) wanted to engage in consensual sex with a very VERY willing partner while persuing better things for himself and his future. I would only find it necessary to point out the discrepancies in a negative light if I was her defense attorney trying to paint him in a horrible, abusive hypocritical manner. I went to Catholic school, I saw more than my share of Catholic followers doing things I may not have approved of especially given their "daytime personna" but it wasn't my business. On the other hand, Catholic priests and little boys- a different story.


Guess this is an agree to disagree. I'm not going to critisize a young mormon's sexual activities' especially when he or she is a murder victim about to be put on trial while six feet under. Have all the anal sex one's heart desires, consensually. I'm not seeing that red flag. That's just me. Agree to disagree.

I'm going with this as to how the PA knew what was coming today, until someone can find a believable link that they didn't have a clue what the DT had on the table today.

"Why are all of you under the impression that PT is unable to see what motions DT is filing?? Unless it's some weird Arizona law, in my trial experiences, "Under Seal" means only the Judge, counsel and parties to the suit can see it. I know an affidavit can be filed under seal if the subject matter is subject to atty-client privilege, but even then you submit a redacted copy to opposing counsel!
It just doesn't make sense to me that one side can file an entire motion secretly without giving opposing counsel a chance to prepare/respond - seems extremely unproductive!!

Yeah but when the defense said "hey, you didn't tell me you had this witness coming" (referring to CH), Juan countered with, "yeah well you didn't tell me what the issue was so I made some assumptions" (paraphrasing).

So Juan either knew, thus having CH there, or didn't know, in which case he wouldn't have said "no one told me..."
