I'm sitting here watching In Session from today and these interrogation tapes (again--the ones in the orange jumpsuit).

I honestly wonder how they decided to go with the self defense excuse vs. insanity because looking at these tapes I think they could have much more successful sold a story to the jury about her being insane. Because she seems completely nuts. Mind you I don't think she qualifies as insane in the legal sense. But her behavior, the rubbing of her neck and back and seeming totally out of it...seems nuts. Of course then she pulls out of that and cheerfully talks about playing with Napolean smiling and giggling then in to her crazy intruder story...all while knowing what kind of deep doodoo she's in.

So incredibly off.

Yes Jodi is very off! I knew a guy like this. We both did standup and he was nice but "off". He got arrested (eventually released) and while he was being interrogated he started rambling off his comedy, thinking the LE would like him better. Weird! When I watch Jodi she reminds me so much of that guy. I remember something in me told me to not let him get close. Lots of others liked him, but red flags went up for me.

All that neck rubbing was part of her act. She was pretending to be fearful to tell the detective the truth about what happened. if you notice that was right around the time he asked her if she was protecting someone. She's acting all reluctant to talk. He asks about the gun...and she chirps...I never had the gun....she THINKS she's reeling him in, she's making HIM work to pull the ninja story outta her.

She had used two weapons to make it look like there were two perps. She had her alibi all lined up. When she learned LE knew she was at the scene....boom didn't take much to create ninja story. She thought she staged the crime perfectly to implicate two and the evidence would back up her ninja tale.

'perfectly' always is in these people's mind. someone forgot to tell her
the police detectives are smarter and wiser and come across her kind
everyday. In my reality she is dumber that a rock but thinks she can ace
everything and come out the winner!:biglaugh:

Oh. My. God. ... Just watched a video of ALL the TA shower pictures -- back-to-back with timestamps & PAUSES, so you can understand how much time lapsed between each pic being taken.

There's even a different photo I'd not seen of Travis in shower, where his facial expression shows absolute incredulity. I mean, his EYEBROWS have jumped HIGH upon his forehead; his mouth is open; he may even be making a balled fist.

You sure do get a feel for how much TIME she was operating with. That minute seems like forever! Yes he does look surprised in that one pic. I still think by the time he was sittingon the shower floor, she had some kind of weapon on him, threatening and ordering him.

Nevermind, I think it is glare.

It sure looks like it could be a knife in motion, so it looks fuzzy. But most of these pics have a white streak going through them for some odd reason. So it's probably not a knife.

I think this has GOT to be the moment when she revealed her weapon...

What's then most heartbreaking is that other, lighter-white shower picture we've looked at for so long. It was taken AFTER the above: I think she'd had the gun out a little while already.

So that facial expression we've been looking at past couple of weeks? To me, it seems to reads as TA being NUMB and kind of DRAINED from FEAR.

I think Travis looks taken by surprise in that pic. I also think when one is taken by surprise maki g a fist is a normal reaction.

Yes, when I raise my eyebrows I realize it's like a surprised-I-see-something look, and the open mouth goes along with the shock or maybe he said something to someone he's looking right at. Bet this pic could be lightened or sharpened. It did seem long waiting for those minutes in the slideshow. Sure tells a sad story.

That's a new pic of TA for me too. I'm thinking there was a pic that wasn't shown by the PA so there wasn't a screenshot of it...#160 maybe but I'm not sure.

ETA: Looks like the pic was taken at 5:30:30 so not #160... it's the 5:27:28, #155 pic in the vid.

I don't know if it's divine intervention that the camera and pics were left there and not destroyed, but the pics of Travis in the shower tell us he was not angry and ready to go berserk over a dropped camera. I'd guess he was more threatened by someone in those last pics. I can almost imagine him saying, "What are you doing?" in that one with the raised eyebrows.

I am not sure what time, if any is on this photo, but I believe this is the moment when he became aware that she was THERE. I tend to think that he actually saw her to the door, and she left, but then she snuck back in.

The pictures were presented in court printed on glossy paper. This is why they show bright white sections due to the lights in the courtroom or the ELMO and the slight bends in the picture made when Martinez placed them on the machine. It's possible this was quickly flashed during the trial and we missed it. I know when watching them being presented, some went by pretty fast.
