Wow. It's funny how all that stuff the standard psych testing of that time has all been discredited.

I agree. We need to use these caged criminals to figure out how to conclusively detect them - humanely, of course.

There is currently research that brain activity on MRI's can aid in lie detection. It would be great if that could be more aggressively pursued, but of course that requires $$, and science funding keeps getting cut...

BBM: For those that like more "tangible" evidence of psychiatric pathology, research is coming along nicely via brain flouroscopy.
Recently, Sam Vakim (dx NPD) underwent brain scans and the images of his "flatline" brainwaves compared to other's scans was incredible. You can google it. It's a series on YouTube called "I, Psychopath".

Additionally, Harvard University has done some interesting scans on the brains of those with Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD). IIRC, they've detected an overactive Amygdala and an underresponsive Pre-frontal Cortex compared to standard (non-affected) brains. In other words, the wiring or signals don't connect appropriately.

There's also been some research done on identical twins and BPD which suggested more of a genetic cause than an environmental, as previously assumed.

I am finding MOST of the defense motions pertain to the mitigation and sentencing portion of the trial.

Interesting, although this is about the only thing they can try to challenge. I believe even the DT realizes her 'self-defense' is preposterous.

He was trying to get rid of her and I seriously doubt he would keep it around when he had the dog sitter sleeping in his room while he was gone. Plus his roommates admitted TA allowing them to go into his bathroom to get medications. Not something someone like TA would want around. That is a JA thing as she seems to be the one who is experienced, ready and willing to.......at the drop of a hat.

I think she brought an extra large bottle because she wanted it to show up on the camera. Not sure what she hoped to accomplish but it sure looks like she wanted those pictures to convince someone they were having sex. jmo

I don't think it's going to make any difference. She has few friends or family to testify. I don't think the jury will give their testimony a second thought either way.
The only advantage of going first is hoping it acts as a buffer and lessen the impact of her testimony. Taking the stand last leaves a longer lasting impression that will be hard to get by.

But LEst we forget the ninjas story, she was on the floor down by the tub, next to the shower.. While the earlier pics look like they are taken at level, the later pics show they are still about level with him.....I think she crouched down to take those other shots and came up with the knife from about his level. If she used the gun first she would have been standing over him. Jmo

Could be ...there's 44 seconds between Travis sitting in the shower and the accidental pic of the ceiling, which appears to be the camera being dropped or in motion. As we've seen, an awful lot can happen in 44 seconds, so there's really no way to know which position either of them were in when the attack began.

IMHO the defense spent quite soe time ad naseum on this point about being upward, which makes me beleive the prosecution should prepare for them saying this one could not have been done first,,,do not know where headed but sitting down photo, this could not be first stab. Also, seemed to e they were going to tie lunging with gunshot? Like he had head down charging at her like a bull and she was left handed therefore right temple to left cheek?

I think this was the point of Juan dropping the camera and making the point that it only takes an instant to drop the camera but there are 44 seconds unaccounted for between the last pic of Travis in the shower and the camera dropping. It's true -- we have no idea what happened in those 44 seconds or whether Travis was in or out of the shower, standing or sitting.

I am not prone to Pareidolia, seeing images in items, and I can't see anything in the right eye of the cnn blownup image but my friend zoomed in the opposite eye to see if there was anything of interest and it didnt take long as you can see in the third image which was only zoomed for a second time...

I may be in the minority but I do think they had sex that day. I just thought maybe he kept it in his nightstand, which many people do. I'd hope his dog sitter wouldn't go into private space like that.

So many things to ponder. The four year relationship with the ex- for starters. He can easily be found on Linkdin (sp?). He was her boss and supposedly went through a very tumultuous divorce. He is also almost two decades older than she is. Timing wise I can't help but wonder if JA caused the break up of the marriage? Four years with the man and he had a four year old! Very interesting. Did he have primary custody? Where is/was the mother? How/why did they end up buying a house in Palm Springs?

It's not an item men keep around and in particular unmarried Mormans. Look at the size of it. It's like a year's supply. Plus we already know it was something she used. I was married 41 years and never had a tube of it in my home. I just don't see him having it because of his beliefs. Anyone who travels with a tube of that, unless they are handicapped, are looking for some action. lol jmo
