These debates are very likely some of the same ones the jurors will go through,
It's a complicated case with much to consider, and I enjoy hearing both sides of the arguments to imagine what the jurors will be talking about.
Being human beings, they will likely consider some of the same things we are discussing here - weather relative to their conviction of G/NG.
It's an uphill battle to not allow your personal feelings to flavor your discussions, and I believe that will be true in deliberations as well.
I pray they are using their minds, hearts, and common sense.

I was thinking this also...You said it better than I could have!

That's usually MY line. lol I happened upon a moment of clarity, and felt compelled to jump in.

It is strange to me that there is not much out there about JA.

It was worse with the wife of the monster who took Jaycee Dugard. Nothing.

But then again, maybe no one wants to admit to knowing a psycho and their relationship with that person.

It has to be taken with a huge "grain of salt" but I read some remarks from a girl who babysat for JA and her BF of 4 years. The one where the house went into foreclosure.

The sitter said that she never went back and that she was left with detailed instructions on exactly how much the kid could eat.

It could be that for those years, she led a rigid life and did not interact much with anyone?

Why did she drop out of school? People know things. They are not talking.

Beth has "the boss" on, and I hope they clear up if tv is allowed or not.

Snark, arguing, attacking each other, and other stuff like that stops here:

This movie is just breaking my heart. I'm a soggy mess.

So any idea how long the trial will continue once it starts again on Monday? How long until we know if this chic gets convicted!? Can't keep up reading here and my school work. i need an answer quickly! LOL

I'm trying to figure out why it's been said that this trial will go on until March or April. I guess that includes a penalty phase? I think that is where the real dirt on jodi will come up.

What a fabulous inyerview with the sherriff of Maricopa. I had heard about his jail system before, but did not realize that was where she was being held. Love his ideas!

I'm watching the interview with Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio on inSession. Not sure what to make of this guy. Seems to be right out of the "good ol' boys" school of acting. I don't know why I expected more out of him. If you accept an invitation to speak on TV, I expect you to be able to carry on a decent conversation. I didn't get that.

He just found out about Jodi selling her art and he's going to "look into that".

BBM The detailed instructions don't bother me. Apparently, lots of parents leave detailed instructions these days. I read about it on the BabyCenter site.

When my kids were little and I left them with a sitter it was "Here is the food, here is the number where we can be reached. Have fun! Kids, be good!"

There were also no such things as bicycle helmets back then (gasp!) Things seem much more complicated these days.

Wiping your nose AND eyes, right? lol
The whole time Jodi is being interviewed by Flores and is doing her "fake" crying, she doesn't have to wipe the whole time.
She was probably smiling when she had her head down thinking,

, "Wow, I'm good now!!!
He wanted tears, I'm giving him my best rendition."

ppl keep mentioning that the prosecution is making a mistake by making TA to wonderful a person and it will backfire - but - IIRC the only person they had on the stand that talked about TA was mimi, and she didn't extoll his virtues to much - all of the statements about TA are being made by his friends and family outside of court to the media so the jury isn't privy to all that (hoping they are following the rules) so imo that won't be a problem for the jury

Friends are your friends because they like you. In the same respect someone you might see on TV and not like, such as a defense attorney for example, you could meet at a cocktail party and really enjoy a conversation with them and think this person is really not what I thought.

Interactions between friends is far more intimate and accurate than just an impression of a person we read about. TA seemed to be like by both his friends and his associates alike. To most of us he seemed likeable. Since he was so successful in bringing people into the business with his motivational speeches I would think there were many who liked him and were inspired by him. It was not just an act, it was who he was and you can see it by what he wrote in his blog.

JA, however, was disliked by her associates at work and had very few friends. What does it tell you when one of the few witnesses she is calling for her defense was in maximum security with her???? No friends other than a cellmate and an old boyfriend. jmo

What is weird is that it appears Travis and Jodi did not see each other in person after she left Mesa for California at the beginning of April. Travis started "Travis Alexander's Being Better Blog on April 14th. Did he send the t-shirt to Jodi? Did she order it? Did she have it made? Did she take the picture? Lots of questions.

I have no idea though she does look proud in that shirt doesn't she?
Her wish was to be Travis Alexanders!!!

and how far back does this old boyfriend go? She lived with a guy for four years before she met Travis, from Travis she set her sights on Ryan.

I don't see how relevant an old boyfriend from circa 2002 or something is.

well in her LE interview she kept saying she was innocent because the rest of her old BF's were still alive - maybe thats what he is going to say?? she didn't kill me???

One thing that I learned on here that I never knew or guessed is that an abuser is not abusive to all partners.

I do not know where, but people posted about ex husbands and a father who was not abusive to the new spouse.

So, the domestic violence expert could be testifying to things that I never knew.

It does not matter then if TA was a prince to other gf's. Did he have any relationships that were as long as the one he had with JA?

Believe me, I want her to get LWOP . Don't believe in DP and it is too expensive.

I am just trying to figure out the angle that this domestic violence expert is going to spin. If she wants to be able to continue to have that title, she will spin it hard.

Although in the CA case, the grief expert ......!!!!!!!

I hate that (like Jodi wanting to peek at the pics to match her story to them) the defense will likely now tailor their defense to what has been presented.
That is, of course, if they are not being ethical. lol

does make you wonder. it's really easy to get caught up in the hype of this case. after the CA case i swore i would not do it again but it's happening with this case. guess i'll drop my emotions and wait for the book perhaps there will be a complete history about ja. smh
